quick teeny tiny question...

Postby Nichtopolis » Mon Apr 11, 2011 12:17 am

What is the approximate time scale of Nationstates time to real time? I ask mainly so that I can switch out leader names at an appropriate rate to keep with the style of nation I've made.

Or... no correlation at all. You can say it's been a thousand year war, when it's been 3 days.
We are a proud nation of dwarves. Fear our drunken wrath!

A citizen of Zustash Alåth is called an Alåthian, but our race is dwarves. You can still call us dwarves, but we have a couple of humans, goblins, elves, and kobolds in here too (whom we wish would leave)
Q&A about our nation
This is Nekronia's nation. IC it's just an ally, but OOC it's still me.

Time is relative. Or more accurately considering that NS involves a multi-verse time as a liner measurement is meaningless.
All posts should be assumed to be IC unless I am using an OOC indicator.

Fatatatutti runs in real time but the characters never age.

Our political system allows changing the Cabinet any time we feel like it instead of at regular intervals. We recently replaced our reliable-but-boring Health Minister (think Doc Adams from Gunsmoke) with a more interesting Sophia Loren lookalike.

Time is simultaneous. Therefore there is no such thing as a "timeline".

In NationStates, time irrelevant. Both in-game and out-of-game.
Please note: Currently our National Overview does not reflect our's nations politcal situation, but reflected our past one. Currently we are undergoing change and should have a new fact-book up as soon as possible.

I was always under the impression that time in NationStates was faster than time in our world. Something like seven years a real year? Or seven months a real month? Something involving a seven...

That was the impression I had been under as well- I had two other nations previously, though I've forgotten a great deal since then.

I just judge it on my own time tables. I wouldnt say there exists a ration between IRL time and NS time. Just decide when your leader dies, write it in your Factbook and your good.
