Who would your nation as a whole consider to be the greatest military commander in your nations' histories, and what did they do that makes people consider them great military leaders? They can be from any branch of your military, army, navy, air force, and whatever other silly branches you savages have in your military.

A great commander from Vermont, however, would have to be Ethan Allen, specifically his taking of Fort Ticonderoga and commanding a militia that peaceably gave and enforced Vermont's independence.

He took over the anarchic lands of the GWO in four months, even in the face of the Grup horde, wiped out the President's Loyalists in 30 minutes, and, before all of this, led the United States/X-Land (for all you people who like to bitch about RL geography being used in national histories) to unofficial victory in the Third World War. He also came up with many, many concepts used by the Federal Armed Forces today, which range from infantry formations to complete structure of the military- all of which have been used to expand the GWO's influence since then. Thusly, almost any military victory by the GWO can be attributed to him, considering that most of the military scenarios the GWO has been in have been predicted or drawn up by him.

Aside from him, there's Griffith Victor (our current Grand Commander) who's many, many victories earned him his last name. He wiped out 90% of the Liberty Confederation in a single fucking week.

Our most recent star is Field Marshal Imorr Shan, whose brutality towards our foes and strict code of discipline has led to scores of nations falling under the Federation banner. It's widely said that any troops who fall under his command are "whipped" into becoming capable of performing special operations without fail, and that any country he's "unleashed" on lose nearly half their male populace in the counter-insurgency operations that follow. We bring him in when we want our messages to be clear, something war alone doesn't always accomplish.

Hero of the Algiers campaign and possibly the most famous (and competent) field officer in the army. Personally led the charge to take Adalai Hill with only his saber and revolver in hand. He has received numerous commendations for extraordinary bravery and exemplary leadership in battle.

He's even had a medal named after him, known as the Morocco Star, which is currently awarded for "conspicuous daring in the face of enemy odds."
