INTRODUCTION

The Fascist Federation of the Grand World Order is a young country, blessed with a massive birthrate thanks to government population programs and artificial "PeopleSpawner" programs that utilize harvested reproductive cells from most of the general public. Today it is easily one of the most influential, well-known nations around, complete with a massive economy and high standard of living.

But before all of that, the Federation and the lands it holds dominion over were a post-apocalyptic hellhole, and things were far from what they are now. Here, I do hope I will answer many of the NS population's questions, and also clear up why the Federation and its people have the mindset that they do.

Do note, I RP as if RL nations did exist. If it really bothers you, replace any RL nation names with whatever the hell you feel is appropriate. I'm not writing the entire histories of 200+ more nations just to appease your methods.

Also, this will take a very long time to fully detail. Please know and understand that.

Pre-War Earth
(~48,000 B.C. - 2016 A.D.)

indentEarth is the third planet from the sun. It was formed billions of years ago by forces not confirmed yet. Roughly 50,000 years ago, humankind came into existence.

The existence of humankind has constantly been tied with war. War always has been part of our species, and as far as this report is concerned, will always continue to be part of it. Likewise, war has always been part of the Federation's history. And, likewise, war will most likely continue to do so.

The Federation had not even been fathomed or relevant at all in human history until 1945, when what many historians would argue is the first form of the Federation, the United Nations, was formed by Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Josef Stalin. The U.N. would become essentially the world's governing body, its membership expanding to every significant nation in the world by the year 2000.

In 2001, the United States of America was attacked by Islamist terrorists. This triggered the start of a massive diplomatic chain of events which would eventually lead to the creation of the Federation as it is today.

After the attack, the United States began a series of wars that, according to their leaders, were part of a bigger one that they called the "War on Terror." By now, the United States had become the most powerful nation in the world, and as a founder of the U.N., was very much able to direct the world with little contest, though other nations were emerging on the world stage.

Meanwhile, National Bolshevik elements of Russian society led a bloodless revolution against the "capitalistic" government of the Russian Federation, promising to "bring back the glory of the Soviets" for all of Russia and its people, which included taking an anti-American stance- coincidentally, by the time of the Third World War, this was the norm among the international community anyways.

Japan, formerly restricted from having military forces as a result of their defeat in the Second World War, became a military superpower after revoking Article 9 of the MacArthur Constitution in 2013- with the full blessing of the United States and most of the Western world.

World War Three

In 2016, the United States invaded the Islamic Republic of Iran after several campaigns in the Middle East, notably in Iraq and Afghanistan. For the past decade and a half, Iran had been accused of pursuing nuclear programs and supporting America's enemies in the War on Terror, and finally the United States, not only agitated but in need of additional resources, invaded.

Failing to acquire United Nations approval, intervention against the United States-led invasion was perfectly legal. The nearby country of China, now a superpower much like the United States, launched its own invasion of Taiwan while also sending forces (alongside Russian troops) to Afghanistan and Iran- thus beginning the Third World War. The United States was forced out of the Middle East, but the Middle East wasn't about to lose on occupier to gain another- brutal resistance to the Chinese and Russians begins, as the Middle East bands together to keep foreign superpowers from their land, led by (Saudi) Arabia, who had recently ousted (and murdered) the Al-Sauds. Oil prices will become utterly unbearable, forcing the United States to destroy much of its wilderness and establish a protectionist policy regarding drilling rights near its shores just to keep the militaries of NATO functioning properly.

The United States opens fronts in Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela, all of whom had declared support for the new China-Russia alliance. Naturally, NATO, South Korea, and Japan support the United States.

In Korea, fierce fighting ensues as hordes of Chinese forces begin to overwhelm U.S. and Korean forces, turning the peninsula into a bloody quagmire. The Chinese successfully establish a beachhead in Japan, before the Japanese Army successfully keeps them from advancing too much further. The American Selective Service Act is put into effect, enacting conscription in the country for the first time since 1972. In Cuba and Venezuela, U.S. forces quickly overcome the local governments, though Venezuelan guerrilla forces become a problem.

Russian forces do not attack Alaska, though Russian Navy assets are placed off the shore to fire missiles at U.S. airbases and provide an anti-aircraft screen to prevent U.S. aircraft in Alaska from reaching the Far Eastern theater.

The primary concern of the United States at this point is relieving its swarmed forces in South Korea. The U.S. and Japanese Navies are forced to engage the Chinese Navy in a massive sea battle, in which two American nuclear supercarriers are lost, causing the exposure of seawater to radioactive elements, causing a devastating blow to marine wildlife in the region. The Allies, however, break through and are able to reinforce the ravaged ROK and American forces in South Korea.

A similar attempt is made to liberate the Taiwanese, but this fails horrifically. As most of the Pacific Fleet was necessary to combat the Chinese near South Korea, the USN couldn't muster the forces necessary for a total victory over the Chinese fleets at Taiwan.

In Europe, Russia has invaded Norway, and now has its eyes set on hitting the United Kingdom. The Russian Navy smashes the British Fleet near the Orkney Islands before successfully landing in Thurso and Elgin, before another Russian amphibious force partially lands in Belfast before the French and German Navies intercept them, throwing the invasion into a wreck. The German and Belgian armies arrive in Southern England within the week and begin moving towards Scotland.

Meanwhile, the Russians deploy another fleet to the Atlantic to dissuade the U.S. Atlantic fleet. While many knew the Russians wouldn't actually be able to hold them off, the U.S. would have to pay a steep price to make it past them to relieve the British. However, the U.S. coordinates with the "lesser" NATO nations (primarily Spain and Italy) to facilitate a multi-sided attack against the Russians.

At the same time, Russian tanks charge over the border into the Baltic States, a bloody battle that will last until the end of the war. They also begin launching missile attacks on Turkey, who pulls out of NATO and declares neutrality to avoid invasion. Turkey would eventually align itself with the rest of the Middle East.

The Second Cold War

indentJust because the Third World War ended in status quo ante bellum, thanks to the Peace of the Atlantic Treaty, does not mean the world was ready to stop fighting.

A brutal occupation by both NATO and the Russo-China Alliance in the Middle East is causing massive amounts of unrest. Turkey is subjected to near genocide by the forces of Western Europe. Oil is viciously torn from the ground of the entirety of the Middle East, and private oil companies from the West duke with out with mercenaries from the East, as well as local militias, for domination of different countries and their oil resources.

The United Nations becomes an ungraceful fencing ground between the United States, Germany, Japan, and Russia and China. War almost breaks out again over issues such as control in the Middle East and whether Korea should continue to be divided. Uprisings in Taiwan and Turkey create even more bloodshed. All of the remaining superpowers revoke their No First Use nuclear policies.

But there's relative peace. Trade resumes. People start to think that the war, even if it took 120 million lives, was merely just a fit of bad diplomacy.

The Final War
(World War Four)

indentThe worst conceivable catalyst comes from the Middle East.

A resistance group in Iran manages to transport a tactical nuclear device into Volgograd, Russia, without any warning- and proceed to destroy the city.

Russian authorities immediately accuse the United States of doing this. At 11 PM, United States Central Time, China and Russia proceed to launch an initial 500-ICBM nuclear attack on each major city in the country. Early warning systems warn the Americans, who respond with the firing of their entire arsenal at Chinese and Russian targets, followed by the nuclear fury of NATO.

Within five hours, the world population has fallen from nine billion (9,000,000,000) to 125,000. Order is gone. The world's militaries are in shambles. It appeared the world had committed suicide, finally; the prophetical Day of Judgement.

Those 125,000 survivors crawling from the ashes of civilization would become the Architects, a generation (though it consisted of people of a wide range of ages) with significant cultural status today, seeing as some members of this generation would later build a superpower from nothing.

Of course, nuclear war wasn't the only threat during this era. Immediately afterwards, the lack of law enforcement (or even laws to enforce seeing as most of the world's governments were completely wiped out) showed its ugly face as acts of brutal rape and murder became commonplace, even during the daytime and in public areas. Small "wars" broke out between gangs, other gangs, and what would be recorded in GWO textbooks as "Enforcer Militias," which were primarily comprised of former soldiers and police officers, though it is rather dubious that the Enforcer Militias themselves all had good intentions.

Allo, sir, I come offering a tiny bit of constructive criticism.

I rather like your current story as it is, except for two major details- why the sudden desire of China to behave with such reckless hostility, and why are they so willing to work with the Russians? As well, what prompted a Russian return to Communism? It seems a little far fetched, honestly, a bit of history explaining these two massive shifts in national characters would be nice.

For example, you could point to the depletion of the world's oil resources+China's massive and rapidly industrializing population. This would in turn lead to a series of wars culminating ultimately in a fight for survival, since the world economy is driven entirely by oil. Invading Taiwan, though? Perhaps a point of national pride, but I think a tiny island takes less priority than energy concerns. Again, you could justify it as China needing a staging point for war against Japan.

For Russia and Communism... only God knows. I see them turning to fascism in the face of a world oil crisis, given the support to neo-Nazi ideology (pro-motherland, anti-immigrant, racialism) in large swathes of Russia. This could set up a sort of ideological counter to the GWO- racist fascism vs. the GWO's ordered statism.

Just my input, not anything I expect to become dogma. I otherwise like where this is going and look forward to reading the development of one of my favorite NS nations.
