The Abyssinian Empire is a large, powerful domain that stretches from the Red sea to central Africa. It exists as a Monarchy with King Barlamain the Devout as the Emperor. Facts about the Empire are stated below,

Government
The govennt of the Abyssinian empire is extremely simple. The word of the Emperor is law. However, he has a cabinet of ten Ministers to advise him on the affairs of government. Whenever the Emperor dies, his eldest child usually assumes the throne, but there are a few cases in which the Empresses have stepped up and took control, as a regent or the ruler.
The first Emperor came to power in the year 982, and the line of succession has only been broken once. That was a brief time during the Italian occupation in the forties, a few years afterwards a Russian backed communist regime took power. Shortly after its establishment however, the Emperor re-assumed the throne of the Empire in a very short, yet bloody coup.
In recent years, the Emperors have been pressured by the USSR, The US, and the AUstralians to transfer his government into a more democratic government. Although he has recently allowed more libertarian laws, he holds a firm grip on his power.

Religon
The State religon of the Abyssinian Empire is Ethiopian Orthodoxy, which is also the largest religon in the Empire. The largest minority are the Sunni Moslelums, which mainly populate Somalia. The religious breakdown of Abyssinia follows:

Military

The Grand Imperial Forces of Abyssinia is the official title of the Armed forces that serve the peasants and the Emperor with Bravery Courage and Perseverence.
The Military population makes up about two percent of the population. This puts the number of soldiers, Support personnel, and officers in service to the Crown 11,748,000. Most of these soldiers are very well trained, and well armed as well. This provides a serious obstacle to any enemies of the Empire.

The Grand Imperial Forces of Abyssinia has four main branches:
The Grand Imperial Army
The Grand Imperial Navy
The Grand Imperial Space Defense Command
The Imperial Militia Reserve.

The Grand Imperial Army

The task of the Army is to maintain Abyssinian interests on the surface of Earth and any other Solar bodies where they are needed. They number at nearly eight million men.

The standard weapon for the Army is the S48 Bolt Rail rifle. It works by propelling projectiles with electonic pulses and such. The recent invention of a steamless coolant has refined the railgun into a deadly instrument of death.
