Traffic jam in our major cities? We dont have it, unless there is a roadblock or something like that.

Our entire country is a traffic jam. Your best bet is to drive between the hours of 1 and 4 in the morning if you want to get somewhere quick (or take public transportation like the bus or subway).

Traffic jams in Fatatatutti can be caused by a variety of things: cars parked in the middle of the street, sleeping ducks, etc. The worst traffic jams usually occur when motorists get tired of waiting and abandon their vehicles. That sort of thing tends to escalate until nobody can move. Another common cause of large traffic jams is when small traffic jams turn into spontaneous tailgate parties, some of which have been known to last a week or more.

The traffic in Ankh Morpork is always terrible anyway, but every three months we get a gridlock on the Peripheric (the ringroad around the city centre) and that's REALLY bad news. President Whitacre once spent 4 hours trying to get from one side of the city to another after being caught in a "Prifflock" (it normally takes about 30 minutes). The Presidential limosine had been forbidden to deviate from the planned route.

There are often traffic jams in the capital's downtown district where individuals of the homosexual lifestyle chose to reside. There motorists are given "bonus points" for running over pedestrians. This causes some overzealous individuals to mount curbs, run red lights and generally misbehave; thus decreasing the efficiency of streets in that area of our capital.
I add constructive criticism to the F&NI Forum.
