Your nation's capital city

Hello fellow world leaders! The Empire of YaoiFangirlLand (YFL) would like to create a documentary on capital cities. You may also include capital cities of colonies. Please include many pictures and plenty of information about it.

Mirski (YFL)
Mirski was founded in the late 1200's, and is the largest city in YFL with a population of over 100 million. There is hardly any crime and the main languages spoken here are Fujoshi and English; the latter is used much more frequently except in the old town. It is a very cultural and friendly city known for it's fast paced lifestyle of shopaholics, entertainment, and sweet teeth. Your life savings and cavity fillings won't last long here.

Malaty (Tyelona-lye, TYL)

Malaty is the capital city of Tyelona-lye, one of YFL's two colonies. It is a rapidly growing cosmopolitan area, however the YFL government is making sure they don't ever surpass Mirski. Malaty is a more quiet city than Mirski, but that is mainly because of the personality of the people. It's much more laid back, but there is more crime than in Mirski. Malaty is a very popular tourist attraction, nevertheless. The languages spoken in Malaty are Tyenese, English, and occasionally Fujoshi. The population is about 50 million.

Keika (Keiruit, KRT)

Keika is a small city of only 500,000 on the Northern coast of Keiruit. The languages spoken there are Keimat, Tyenese, and English. It's a quaint, cheap place to stay, but not necessarily too exciting compared to Malaty and Mirski. It is mainly an industrial center. Not much can be said about it, as it's pretty boring.

Oured: It was the East Erusean Capital (Around 1890's) and then when West Erusea merged with East Erusea, it was decided that Oured would be the capital of the nation. This place is where the Government does most of its business. It is on the Fascum Sea.

Spread across the plains in an eponymous valley between two mountain ranges, San Angelo is the capital city of the Front Range Republic. The population is around 800,000 in the city itself and roughly two and a half million in the metro area, making it fairly large for Mount Shavano. The city is the best example of current Front Range architecture, being clean and modern with no pretensions to grandeur. Most streets are lined with red brick sidewalks and lines of aspen or pine trees.

As the seat of the government, San Angelo is the most active nighttime location in the Front Range Republic. Street lights, headlights, and lit skyscrapers can be seen at all hours, leading to the common description of San Angelo as a "glittering" city. The city's most common nickname is "the Angel City".

That would be Saurus City, bordering the Prehistoric Ocean on Reptilia and home to over 245 million people in all.

Our capital and largest city is Olivia, a massive city situated on and between the Kanter and Korn Rivers. It is a major governmental, cultural, and commercial center, serving as both the administrative and financial capital. Below are some images of Olivia:

The primary governmental and administrative area of the city, it gets its name for resembling a forest clearing, in that it comprises large government buildings and open spaces while tall buildings and skyscrapers seem to stop at its perimeter.

Yasashii has a high population density, as noted on our national map. Though the city of Daiju is itself large, it is part of larger urban zone known officially as Yasashii-Core.
Citizens often call it the "Heart of the Nation" or "Yasashii's Heart" - an huge urban area housing over 1.7 billion people and the center of all economic and cultural activity.

Tron City, the primary population center, industrial production center, cultural center, administrative center, and center of anything that is of any real importance in the System. It has a population of 17,892,573 Programs, each of which lives under the ever-present thumb of CLU, the System Administrator. No one leaves the City without his permission.

There is a huge thread about this already, but I'll play along.

Ko-oren city is the name of the capital of the country of Ko-oren. It was founded as a trading post between two countries and used this trading post as a fort later to attack a third country. After a few wars, the city of Ko-oren grew out to be the most powerful city in the region, and even establishing an own neutral zone around this city. After a few hundred years, this neutral zone expanded to the full island of Fandar (see map). This is how the country was founded.

The city grew out from a relatively small rural town to a trading post with great infrastructure over sea and land, then to a city and cultural melting pot to the huge metropolis of almost 10 million people it is now.

Our capital city is Ankh Morpork. Actually we have three. The Parliament and government ministries are located in Ankh Morpork. But the President's seat was moved to Chirm to honour the Resistance. And the Supreme Court is located in Sto Lat.

Ankh Morpork is the largest city in ArghNeedAName. It is the only city with Statehood. The City State has a population of 8.6 million and the urban area (which includes Sto Lat) has a population of over 10 million. It is a major centre of tourism, industry, business and finance.

Damascus is the capital of the Umayyad Caliphate. It was the center of the Second Caliphate, which was overthrown by the Third who established the capital in Cairo. When Caliph Hassan Ibn'Rashan re-established the Caliphate in 1892, he captured Damascus and established it as his capital. Since, it has been the Umayyad centre.

Bastioforre

The overall capital of the Galladian Empire, Bastioforre is the home of both the ruling Beauford family and the Galladian House of Nobles. Situated in what was once the dark, snow capped north of the motherland, Bastioforre rarely saw sunlight due to the almost constant cloud cover. However, thanks to the implementation of the artificial atmosphere placed around the Empire, sunlight now streams down upon the streets. Renown for it's dedication to the arts, Bastioforre is home to many of the Empire's most talented artists, musicians, actors and writers. Has a population of 245 million Aelune, making it the second largest city in the Empire. Became the capital in 1608 (56,000 BC by earth standards) after a military coup forced the Beaufords to evacuate Del'rai and head north to this city fortress. A largely changed city, Bastioforre has modernized over the last few decades, representing the advances of the Galladian Empire.

Spread out across 3,900 square kilometers, the capital of Lundenwic is a massive city divided into a heavily urbanized outer city, and the smaller historic inner city. While the outer city is the economic centre of the city, housing factories, apartments, business headquarters, and financial buildings, the inner city contains many historic government and public buildings, including the first Imperial Palace, the second Imperial Palace, the three royal palaces, the chambers of the Witengemot, and the Imperial Fortress, which includes abandon quarters for up to 30,000 soldiers, and the headquarters to the defunct Imperial Assassination and Subterfuge corps. The total population of Lundenwic is 12.5 million people, 90% of whom live in the outer city.

The administrative municipality of Peros (population of 712,000) serves as both Greater Santiago's largest city and capitol. It was first settled as a trading port by the Spanish during the mid 17th century and has continued to grow ever since. Along with its already immense supply of fish the recent discovery of oil sands near the city has spurred a rush of investment by foreign multinational corporations. This has been a mixed blessing for the city as the recent construction of corporate offices and hotels have forced out the poorer citizens who have lived in those areas for generations.

The gentrification of Peros has caused a rise in tension between the rich and poor. Fences have been erected to protect wealth boroughs while the national army guards the entrances to the unofficial city within a city of Vientos, which serves as the location for Santiago's most important government buildings.
