If you wish to smoke tobacco, you go right ahead, though it is traditionally understood that you should not smoke in the Post Office, the Police Station, or the Public Library.

Now, regarding substances like marijuana and crack cocaine? You smoke those, and you go to prison for a long time.

Legal, no minimum age, and you can smoke anywhere. But smoking is frowned upon and not widely done.

Smoking is encouraged. It removes idiots from the genepool due to various government placed additives that shorten the smokers life span by more then half.

Drugs are flat out banned. Being caught with them on your person is a on the spot execution by the secret police.

Hmmm. Another oppressive, tinpot dictatorship, we see. We'll just add you to the list of nations we don't do business with.

Before we forget, smoking (of tobacco) is extremely commonplace in Misthurst. It's quite unusual to go an entire day without seeing at least somebody engaged in smoking.

In Novikov, smoking is very common and is not discouraged by the government. Some criticize this, claiming that Novikov's policy of non-interference on drug issues leads to an increased burden on our healthcare system. The government does mandate warning labels on cigarettes to inform the public of the dangers. Most, however, still choose to smoke.

What a backward nation, believing as it appears to that intelligence is genetic and thus that removing 'idiots' from the gene pool is a desirable policy

If idiots are killed off at a young age in this manner, may we enquire who is alive to run your nation?

Tobacco possession or usage is by Haishan law is kill-on-sight,as severe as possessing even only 1mg of heroine. This harsh law is set in place after factories owners complained that their factories are clouded by cigarette smokes as Haishan industry workers are once known as avid heavy smokers, smoking around as much as 15 cigarettes per day. Due to this, factories reported decline in productivity as more workers getting cancers than involved in industries incidents, infact the mortality rate is far more higher than other death causes. This had put considerable strain on the health budget as well, since more funds are directed to treat such smokers. Thus on the 7th of June,Sashan Vidin declared on a national decree that tobacco possession or usage is punishable by death.

Any citizens found to smoke tobacco is on death row,no exceptions.Foreigners are either ejected from the nation or locked up indefinitely. This law is displayed vividly almost anywhere in Haishan, from airports,to restaurants and factories in red banners.

Legal (though discouraged by medical professionals). It's entirely up to the individual in the end though.

It is however, prohibited in places such as hospitals, and bars and restaurants generally restrict smoking to a special area for smokers.

Smoking is forbidden in our nation. Possession of cigarettes, cigars and tobacco and the act of smoking all come under the Tobacco and Smoking Act which is punishable by ten strokes of the cane and a 30-year sentence or life-imprisonment in jail or in one of our nation's concentration camps. Anyone caught participating in the distribution of such substances which is also illegal faces the death penalty. Foreigners who participate in this will be punished with caning then expelled from the country. A fine of 1000000 marks will also be imposed on the offender.

Slaztivania's policy on any and all drugs is that of warning people and not mindlessly banning things. If you ban something, it is more likely that someone will become ill or die from the drug not being prepared properly.

Smoking is legal, but hedged in. Because of the externalities "second hand smoke" imposes on non-smokers, the federal government has banned smoking in federal government buildings and all medical buildings, including (unusually) private ones. Most provincial governments and about half of municipal governments have done likewise.

At the smaller levels of government, the situation gets complex. A few provinces and cities have prohibited smoking in certain public venues, such as restaurants. Some of those have exceptions for "private" clubs, but those are often abused by selling one-day memberships. A handful of cities have banned smoking in some outdoor locations as well, such as parks and beaches.

There are additional restrictions in the private sphere. Nearly all health insurance carriers either charge smokers higher premiums or simply do not cover smokers. Most employers ban smoking on all or part of their property. Other businesses will not admit people smoking.

Despite these rules, other nicotine delivery systems remain completely legal. Chewing tobacco, snuff, aerosol nicotine, and transdermal nicotine patches can all be had by anyone of legal age.

Compulsory national service means many people do it, and have the discipline to stick to one a day or even two a week, in some cases. Cigars and electronic cigarettes are generally more popular.

The government of Fatatatutti has no stance on smoking. However, it does take a very strong stance AGAINST taking stances on every @#$%ing millisecond of its citizens' lives.

Socially, smoking is high on the list of unacceptable public practices, along with spitting and chewing gum. Smoking in a restaurant would be about as welcome as defecating on the table.

Many soldiers are fond of smoking before going into action, because of the supposed calming effect.

The people of Libera Patria may smoke anything they want - marihuana, tobacco, fish, socks or whatever - in the privacy of their homes, or in designated smoking areas. The State has long researched marihuana, and have now made a marihuana variant which is healthy. The new marihuana, designated Knash, has effects like increased perception, strength and increased mental capacity. About 89% of the adult population enjoy marihuana more than once a week.

What problem do your people have with chewing gum, exactly? No, never mind, we don't want to know.

Nations which have designated "smoking areas" are often laughed at by people here, as are those nations with governments who believe they have a right to tell people what to do in their own homes. We also pity such unfortunate souls, a great deal.
