Ceremonial Cubes of Megatron's Private Reserve Energon - the rarest on Cybertron - are given to honorees rather than medals. Instead of having special names for these awards, the reason for their being given is stated at the ceremony and is also inscribed on the Cube(s) containing this Energon.

Along with the Private Reserve, which is always kept unless starvation is absolutely imminent, there is often a monetary award that can get into the millions of Cubes of Standard Energon. Only deeds that result in a substantial financial benefit to our economy can earn the largest of these monetary bonuses.

Awards, of course, are given in recognition of great service to the nation. Some examples, and the type of people they're usually awarded to, include:

Bringing about victory against an opponent with clear military superiority - Soldiers

Subverting an enemy so its defense is ineffective - Intelligence Agents (gold medal equivalent)

Subverting an enemy so it surrenders without any fight at all - Intelligence Agents (platinum medal equivalent)

Finding a lifeless planet that actually has a lot of oil in it (usually these have lost their lifeforms due to mass disaster such as a meteor strike) - Civilians -

Inventing an exceptional, but nonmilitary, upgrade part - Civilians or Bureau of Impossible Physics (government) personnel (equivalent to a silver medal) -

The above, but so good that it makes it into the Minimum Design Specification - Same as above, but equivalent to a gold medal

Inventing a part that gives us a very clear military superiority - All sorts of winners, but most are in the Bureau of Impossible Physics

Though there is a definite skew as to what type of people win awards for particular things, there is no true exclusivity involved. If a civilian manages to win a seemingly-unwinnable battle for us, for instance he'll get the exact same reward that a soldier would. We believe that being able to accomplish a feat qualifies one for its reward - regardless of the person's position.

Awards can be divided into three types

Command Awards- Awarded for leadership on the field of battle.
Combat Awards- Awarded due to feats of arms and courage.
Civilian Awards- Awarded to civilians.

While most awards are just a medal or cross, higher awards can offer yearly payments, and ranks of citizenship or nobility.

The highest command award is the Hero of the Empire award, which is offered for military leadership that assists in the victory of an armed conflict. Only about a dozen have been given out ever.

The highest combat award is the Cross of Saint Edward, which is awarded for actions in which an individual dies in battle, but with their death ensures the empire's victory. Around 1,200 have been given out.

The highest civilian award is the Sword of the Emperor, which is an individually crafted sword given to an individual by the Emperor himself for a lifetime of service to the empire for the betterment of Luthoria, the Luthorian people, or the world.

The Lifesaving Medal is probably considered the most prestigious decoration. It can be awarded to anybody, Fatatatutian or foreigner. Most recipients are humble about it, sometimes calling it the Right-Place-at the-Right Time Medal.

Hero of the People is the rarest decoration, awarded by vote of Parliament only three or four times in its hundred-year history.
