Our dear Leader and Teacher
"Let a hundred flowers bloom; let a hundred schools of thought contend!"

We will sing of great crowds excited by work, by pleasure, and by riot; we will sing of the multicolored, polyphonic tides of revolution in the modern capitals; we will sing of the vibrant nightly fervour of arsenals and shipyards blazing with violent electric moons; greedy railway stations that devour smoke-plumed serpents; factories hung on clouds by the crooked lines of their smoke; bridges that stride the rivers like giant gymnasts, flashing in the sun with a glitter of knives; adventurous steamers that sniff the horizons; deep-chested locomotives whose wheels paw the tracks like the hooves of enormous steel horses bridled by tubing; and the sleek flight of planes whose propellers chatter in the wind like banners and seem to cheer like an enthusiastic crowd.

Tommaso Marinetti

Motto: It doesn't matter if a cat is black or white, so long as it catches mice.

The legislative period is 4 years, elections are direct.
Each of the ten (10) Provinces of the nation elects its own regional Soviet, again 500 delegates and a legislative period of 4 years.

The ten regionals together with the Supreme Soviet all together elect the 10 People's Commissars for a period of 4 years:

Each P.C. is controlled and assisted by a subcommittee of the Supreme Soviet and may nominate his own secretariat. The First Secretary acts as head of police and coordinator of all executive personnel.

Brief History:

Around 800 the first records of foreign missionaries show the existance of several populated areas in the icy northland of the Vorondian Peninsula. The City-States of Brokdorf and Vorograd as well as the monarchy of Brackburg edcide to send envoys.
They never return. Around 1350 the Hordes of Warlord Gork the Wrathful eppear on the outskirts of Brackburg. This is the beginning of more than 400 years of semi-constant warfare. Oppression is as common as the massacre after the battle.
1781 the Mayor of Brokdorf, to that time a semi-democratic city-state of great military power, orders the unprovoked attack on Vorograd. In 1790 the Kingdom of Vorograd falls to the attackers, and the Legions of Brokdorf turn on the north. 1821 Brokdorf rules over appr. 80% of the modern Vorond, the Lord-mayor declares himself King of all Vorond and decides to take up residence in the royal palace of Vorograd. Oppression in rural areas is just as common and as harsh as it was 500 years before. Isolated by large mountains and by the fear of the new dynasty, Vorond seems to turn on itself. Militarism and oppression of the royal regime take more and more form, the nation is ruled by the iron fist of the army.

In 1886 the first revolutionary peasant army forms, and is defeated shortly after. This would be the starting strike for the fire of freedom, of rebellion. From that moment on, almost every year the kingdom fights actively against "bandits" as the revolutionaries are called. The main weapon of the monarchists is the mighty fleet of armoured battleships, the vorondian navy enabled their troops to strike unchallenged in the coastal regions where traditionally voronda life centers.

The most important date for modern Vorond is march 1920. Rebellion breaks out in the very center of the nation: Brokdorf. In a desperate attempt, workers of the arm-factories seize weapons and attack the police headquarters. Civil war is the consequence, until 1921 the fleet rebels. Officers are thrown overboard, their arms chained tio their feet, and drown. The mighty navy turns on itself, and breaks totally down. Within the years 1921 and '22 civil war continues in ernest, and reaches its climax in the battle of Dietrichsberg on the outskirts of Brokdorf in late 1923. (see excerpt: "The Siege of Brokdorf") Here the armies of the royalists were finally broken, and the Voronda Worker's Guard continues to advance against Vorograd.

The civil war finally came to its end in august 1926, when Emperor Ferdinand III. was guillotined in Brokdorf. The very same day the combined military council of the Worker's Guard proclaimed that the older term used to describe the area in which the revolutionaries were in power would be expanded to mean all of Vorond, thus the nation was now officially called the Free Territory of Vorond. A truly historic moment: the black flag flying over the governmental residence in Brokdorf, over the Summer Palace in Vorograd! Celebrations however were disturbed by the lack of food, the precarious medical situation and the problem of how to get rid of the remaining class enemies: the leeches and profiteers of the royal regime were by no means gone! This was a matter to occupy the newly-formed government and the numerous worker's councils for quite some time. These traitors had to be searched and found, deported and then executed as befitted filth like this. Hiding, sabotaging, wasting, leeching of the healthy body of the Free Territories newly liberated workers!
