What is the minimum age for possession of firearms/ammunition? 20

Are citizens allowed to carry firearms? If so, do they require a special license or permit? No, neither open nor concealed carrying of firearms is permitted under the laws of the Democratic Republic.

What firearms are citizens allowed to purchase? Citizens are permitted to purchase any firearms that are classified as hunting rifles, shotguns, and pistols by the Democratic Republic.

What will prohibit someone from buying/possessing firearms or ammunition? Not holding Gandoorese citizenship, failing the firearm safety test, failing the mental health check, failing the criminal background check (those with felonies are prohibited from owning firearms).

Are firearms registered in your country? Yes, all firearms are required to be registered with a licensed firearm ownership organization.

Is there a limit to the amount of firearms someone may own? Officially no.

Is there a limit to the amount of ammo someone may purchase? Officially no, although licensed dealers may limit the amount of ammunition one may purchase within a 24 hour period.

Does your nation have a right to bear arms or something similar? No, firearm ownership in the Democratic Republic is considered to be a privilege one can earn and not an inherent right.

What is the full process for purchase of a firearm in your country?
- Hold Gandoorese citizenship and be at least 20 years of age
- Take and pass a firearm safety course with 100% accuracy
- Pass a mental health check
- Pass a criminal background check
- Register with a licensed firearm ownership organization
- Receive one's firearm ownership license (the license must be renewed every five years, which requires to undergo all of the above once more, sans the 'register with a licensed firearm ownership organization')
- Go to a licensed firearms dealer
- After selecting the firearm(s) one wishes to purchase, present one's Citizen ID Card (or some other form of identification), firearm ownership license, and firearm ownership organization identification card.
- The clerk will confirm your information and confirm that one wishes to purchase a firearm(s)
- After confirmation, the clerk will accept one's payment and register the firearm(s) purchased with one's firearm ownership organization before passing one their purchased firearm(s). For safety and security reasons, most licensed dealers will have someone assist one with bringing their firearm(s) to their vehicle and making sure they are safely stored in the vehicle.

It must also be noted that, under the law, it is prohibited for a citizen to keep a firearm at home and they must be kept locked in a safe at one's firearm ownership organization when not in use. But this law is often not that stringently enforced as most firearm owners in the Democratic Republic live in rural regions, where there may be some distance between one's home and one's firearm ownership organization, so in many cases a weekly check-in of one's firearms is considered to be sufficient.

Firearm Registration in Philippinae

Postby Philippinae » Tue Aug 10, 2021 8:25 am

What is the minimum age for purchase of firearms? 21 years

What is the minimum age for possession of firearms/ammunition? 21 years

Are citizens allowed to carry firearms? If so, do they require a special license or permit? Yes, however, permit for concealed carry is required.

What firearms are citizens allowed to purchase? Semi automatic weapons may be purchased without any requirements other than a government-issued ID and a clearance from the Civil Police. However, purchase of fully automatic weapons will require a special permit from Ministry of Armaments and only granted to uniformed personnels and those working in private security firms.

What will prohibit someone from buying/possessing firearms or ammunition? Anyone convicted of a felony or being dishonorably discharged in the uniformed services is banned from getting a firearms clearance from the Civil Police. Likewise, people exiled in Special Control Regions are barred from possessing firearms, gasoline, explosives or any blade longer than 5 inches.

Are firearms registered in your country? Registration is mandatory. Possession of unregistered firearms is a felony here.

Is there a limit to the amount of firearms someone may own? Maximum of 5 firearms.

Is there a limit to the amount of ammo someone may purchase? None

Does your nation have a right to bear arms or something similar? Only for citizens with no felony records. Conviction with such crimes will bar an individual from possessing firearms and any guns currently in possesion shall be confiscated.

What is the full process for purchase of a firearm in your country? A person shall first secure a firearms clearance from the Civil Police. An extensive background check shall be conducted. If cleared, the person is then granted the clearance which is presented to a duly registered firearms vendor, along with a valid government-issued ID. When the purchase is done, the vendor keeps a record of the name of the buyer and the firearm serial number, then files it to the Civil Police for registration into the Weapons Registry.

The above procedures only applies to firearm registration for citizens who are not members of any uniformed services or not employed in security firms.

What is the minimum age for purchase of firearms? 21, can be lowered to 18 with a special permit
What is the minimum age for possession of firearms/ammunition? 21, can be lowered to 18 with a special permit. Those 13 and above can receive limited licenses for hunting, sport shooting, and target practice.
Are citizens allowed to carry firearms? If so, do they require a special license or permit? Yes. Citizens may carry firearms, but only with a license from the King's Royal Guard. The licensing process is somewhere in the middle of "may-issue" and "shall-issue". If a citizen is denied a permit, they may appeal.
What firearms are citizens allowed to purchase? Class I weapons (pistols, non-automatic rifles, shotguns, etc), are available to anyone with a standard permit. Class II weapons (automatic rifles and other more dangerous weapons) are limited to those 21 and above with a Class II license (requiring more and more frequent training). Class III weapons (such as grenade launchers) are restricted to military and police only. Class IV weapons (nuclear devices) are banned, except as regulated by the Senate (i.e., laws allowing the military nuclear weapons).
What will prohibit someone from buying/possessing firearms or ammunition? A Class A offense at any time, or a Class B offense within 15 years, or a Class C offense within 7 years. Similarly, any recorded history of domestic violence, or proof of plans to use the weapon to commit an offense.

Are firearms registered in your country? Yes, and each bullet can be traced back to a purchaser.
Is there a limit to the amount of firearms someone may own? Citizens with Class I weapons licenses are restricted to 3 defensive weapons, 3 sporting weapons, and 4 historical/sentimental weapons. Citizens with Class II weapons licenses may possess 12 Class I weapons (of any kind), and 4 Class II weapons. Weapons issued in military or police service do not count toward the total. Additionally, citizens may apply for case-by-case exceptions, which are typically granted if a citizen has a good reason for needing/wanting more.
Is there a limit to the amount of ammo someone may purchase? No, but all ammo must be such that it can be traced back to the purchaser.
Does your nation have a right to bear arms or something similar? The Royal Charter gives citizens the rights to carry arms, but also gives the Government the power to attach reasonable restrictions and regulations to those rights.
What is the full process for purchase of a firearm in your country? A person must first obtain a Class I or II license. This entails a background check, and a basic quiz on firearms safety and the law. Those requesting Class II licenses must also receive a mental health screening. Class I licenses are renewed every 6 years, Class II every 3 years (if a person fails to renew, they are downgraded to a Class I license still valid for 3 years). Weapons may be purchased by presenting a valid license; the vendor then checks the database to ensure the license is valid and the person is not over their weapons limit (or that they are permitted to do so). All weapons purchases carry a 24 hour waiting period-- this is extended to 96 hours for a first weapon purchase, or at the discretion of the seller.

What is the minimum age for purchase of firearms? N/A, any resident citizen with a license may purchase firearms. Any resident citizen may apply for a license at any age, each application is evaluated; citizens must have a good rationale, a clean criminal history, and sufficient loyalty to the nation to be approved for a license.
What is the minimum age for possession of firearms/ammunition? N/A; see above.
Are citizens allowed to carry firearms? If so, do they require a special license or permit? Yes, they may carry unloaded weapons and ammunition separately. They require a regular firearms license.
What firearms are citizens allowed to purchase? Citizens may purchase from an approved list of handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Some are semi-automatic.
What will prohibit someone from buying/possessing firearms or ammunition? Not being a resident citizen, having felonies on record, or not having passed the background checks or loyalty tests that are required to obtain a license.

Are firearms registered in your country? Yes
Is there a limit to the amount of firearms someone may own? No
Is there a limit to the amount of ammo someone may purchase? No, but large purchases may require additional approval.
Does your nation have a right to bear arms or something similar? No, but there is a requirement to maintain state-issued weapons and take marksmanship training in times of conflict.
What is the full process for purchase of a firearm in your country? Citizens must apply in person by submitting a completed request form to a local licensing or service center (these are typically the same places to apply for hunting licenses, business licenses, and so forth); certain driving certification centers may also accept the submissions.
If the applicant has sufficient and reasonable reason to obtain a license, they will receive within 10 business days by registered mail a criminal and loyalty check consent form with return postage. The applicant must consent.
Once the loyalty and criminal check has been done (varies in time), the applicant will be asked to return to a licensing center for a photograph and signature. Their license is then handed to them on the spot as well as a catalogue of approved firearms and ammunition they may order. License holder may also view the firearms and ammunition at seasonal gun shows hosted by firearms vendors and manufacturers

What is the minimum age for purchase of firearms? 18
What is the minimum age for possession of firearms/ammunition? 16
Are citizens allowed to carry firearms? If so, do they require a special license or permit? All citizens by law are required to own at least one gun in case of foreign invasion. Liscenses are needed for further purchases though. Pistols and hunting rifles do not require liscense while ARs and other fully auto weapons require minimal liscense.
What firearms are citizens allowed to purchase? Any. The average citizen can own a fully loaded tank if they so please.
What will prohibit someone from buying/possessing firearms or ammunition? Mental health issues or a previous criminal record

Are firearms registered in your country? Yes. All firearms sold must be registered. Stores caught violating this may be charged with conspiracy and illegal weapon smuggling.
Is there a limit to the amount of firearms someone may own? No but if you just start buying a bunch of guns the government will view you suspicionily.
Is there a limit to the amount of ammo someone may purchase? The limit is your wallet. Ammo can be quite pricy.
Does your nation have a right to bear arms or something similar? Yes. As Article 4 states "The government shall not interfere or involve itself in it's people defense of themselves and the nation." Law also states that all citizens must own a gun by the age of 18.
What is the full process for purchase of a firearm in your country? The usual process after you get your first gun is a short health record check and then they check if you have liscenses and are of age. If so you get the gun that day. If you have mental issues on your health record you will be subject to an interview with a mental health specialist which can take up to 2 days to fully process.

In the countryside of Stockholm County, farmers and hunters may possess shotguns or hunting rifles provided they pass safety and loyalty tests.

No Muslim or practising Jew has been granted a firearms license as a hunter since 1996 and few Catholics have been, meaning Catholic farmers are often forced to make deals with other farmers for pest control.

Private citizens may possess a rifle or shotgun with no felony convictions at any time in their life, no violent misdemeanour convictions for five years and a valid reason.

Valid reasons include licensed hunting, use as part of Bedouin lifestyle or farming, sporting purposes as part of a licensed club or team and self-defence.

Owners of firearms must be either citizens or Muslim expats and
be over a certain age (which various based on gender and marital status with married women being allowed guns earlier than unmarried men).

Handguns may only be carried by people who have a “valid occupational reason” such as police personnel or certain people in the military
(Officers, NCOs and Special Forces).

What is the minimum age for purchase of firearms? 18

What is the minimum age for possession of firearms/ammunition? 18

Are citizens allowed to carry firearms? If so, do they require a special license or permit? Open carrying of firearms is prohibited. Concealed carrying is only permitted with a special licence which requires proof of a threat to one's life.

What firearms are citizens allowed to purchase? Citizens are permitted to purchase long guns (excepting semi- and fully automatic guns) and handguns.

What will prohibit someone from buying/possessing firearms or ammunition? Failing any of the components required to receive a firearms licence, being convicted of a felony, and not being a citizen of Aikoland.

Are firearms registered in your country? Yes, all firearms are registered at the time of purchase.

Is there a limit to the amount of firearms someone may own? No.

Is there a limit to the amount of ammo someone may purchase? No.

Does your nation have a right to bear arms or something similar? No.

What is the full process for purchase of a firearm in your country? Purchasing a firearm first requires the possession of a firearms licence, which are issued on a 'shall issue' basis, and require the passing of a background check, a mental health check, a firearm safety examination, and a simple declaration for why one wishes a firearms licence. Firearms licences last for five years and renewal requires one to pass a firearm safety examination once more.

Once a licence has been required, one may purchase a firearm at a licensed and registered firearms dealer. Purchasers are required to provide both their firearms licence and at least one other form of identification to the dealer. The dealer will keep hold of the firearm(s) purchased, along with the purchaser's firearms licence and other identification, until the registration process has been completed. Upon the completion of that process, the purchaser will be given back their firearms license and other identification, along with a printed copy of their newly purchased firearm(s) registration and the firearm(s) that they purchased. For security and safety reasons, a staff member at a firearms dealer is required to accompany the purchaser to their vehicle and assist them with putting their firearm(s) in their vehicle, making sure they are safe and secure.

The sale or transfer of firearms between private individuals is prohibited by law, but it is technically still possible to do so by using a firearms dealer as a middleman. The seller will sell their firearm(s) to the dealer, who will deregister the firearm(s), and then the purchaser will purchase the firearm(s) from the dealer, using the same process as stated above.

It must be noted that the above information only applies to firearms manufactured in 1905 or later. Firearms manufactured before 1905 are classified as antiques and, with the exception of restricting the sale to those aged 18 or older, there are no licences or restrictions on the ownership of antique firearms.

What is the minimum age for purchase of firearms? 16

What is the minimum age for possession of firearms/ammunition? 16

Are citizens allowed to carry firearms? If so, do they require a special license or permit? Yes, and in order to carry firearms a citizen must have a gun license, must have passed gun safety tests and training in order to do so.

What firearms are citizens allowed to purchase? All kinds of firearms, there is no limit or prohibition to purchase a certain type of firearm.

What will prohibit someone from buying/possessing firearms or ammunition? Failure to obtain a gun license, failure to pass gun safety tests, failure to complete requirements in gun training, criminal background.

Are firearms registered in your country? Yes, registration of firearms and other weapons is mandatory. All unregistered/unrecognized firearms or any other type of weaponry is illegal.

Is there a limit to the amount of firearms someone may own? Nope, no limitation is given.

Is there a limit to the amount of ammo someone may purchase? Again, nope.

Does your nation have a right to bear arms or something similar? Yes, it is written in the constitution. All citizens who have a criminal background are not included.

What is the full process for purchase of a firearm in your country? Purchasing a firearm requires a background check to see if the person has no criminal background. If the person fits in with the said requirement, he/she will now be eligible to undertake firearm training sessions and gun safety tests. If the person passes both requirements, he/she is now eligible to have a gun license and is legal to buy any firearms or any type of weaponry he/she wants.

NOTE:

- Minimal age for undertaking firearm training sessions and gun safety tests are ages 10 and above, assuming that they have no criminal backgrounds/history of breaking the law. By the time they reach the age of 16, assuming they passed the tests, they are now eligible to have a gun license and own a firearm.

- If a person that has obtained a gun license decided to break the law of the country (ex. deciding to kill an innocent civilian without a valid reason), his/her gun license will be revoked and will be stripped of their right to own a firearm or any type of weaponry.

What is the minimum age for purchase of firearms?
18 years old.

What is the minimum age for possession of firearms/ammunition?
Same as above, 18 years old.

Are citizens allowed to carry firearms? If so, do they require a special license or permit?
Citizens are allowed to do so only if they own a licence. However, open carry in major public areas is forbidden by law, and concealed carry is only allowed to authorized officials, e.g. undercover police - if a civilian is caught concealing a firearm, they could be fined heftily or sentenced to jail.

What firearms are citizens allowed to purchase?
Only semi-automatic rifles, manual rifles, flintlocks, muskets, and small-caliber handguns.

What will prohibit someone from buying/possessing firearms or ammunition?
Lack of licence and training, criminal background, mental disability.

Are firearms registered in your country?
Yes, all firearms need to be registered and tracked to prevent the flow of illegal/smuggled weapons.

Is there a limit to the amount of firearms someone may own?
Yes, a citizen only could have a maximum of three firearms of all kind.

Is there a limit to the amount of ammo someone may purchase?
Technically no. See the last question for further details.

Does your nation have a right to bear arms or something similar?
It is not explicitly stated, but said under the umbrella term of "anyone has the right to defend themselves" in the Constitution.

What is the full process for purchase of a firearm in your country?
To get the licence, one must join a hunting club and be active in the organization for 3 months. During these months, the new members would be taught advanced firearm training while given a temporary card. After that, they will be given a legitimate hunting licence (if they passed tests) and they could request a firearm purchase application form from the club's secretary.

The form could be sent to the local police station for further checking. The police will then search requesting individuals for their background - criminal, physical, and mental background, and if they passed, they will go through a firearm use and safety test conducted by the police. If all of these tests were passed, requesting individuals will be granted a certificate and a special licence card.

To purchase a firearm, one could go to state-authorized hunting stores found across the country. They must gave proof of certificate and licence to buy one.

To purchase ammunition one must buy a "munition stamp" from the local hunting club or police station, where one stamp equals 30 rounds of munition. The stamp then could be redeemed in the store. The stamp itself isn't very expensive, only around US$3.15/stamp.

Firearms are controlled under the Statute of Dimecester, 19 Edm. IX. Permission to bear and own firearms for a given purpose may be granted by any officer of the Constabulary, being Sub-Inspectors and above, upon the satisfaction of certain criteria. In accordance with the statute, only free men of good character of sound mind and of temperate habits may own a firearm. All members of the Constabulary, Army, Navy, and Home Services are automatically entitled to bear or own personal firearms during their service. Warrants are subject to continued checks, and end at their expiry date, or earlier by writ of scire facias.

Those holding a firearms warrant will be permitted to own and bear the type and number of firearms stated on the warrant. Ordinary officers may only issue warrants for muzzle-loaders, break-action, bolt- or lever-action firearms. Warrants for pump-action firearms and pistols may be granted with the approval of the High Constable of the hundred, and semi-automatic by approval of the Sheriff of the county. Valid purposes for bearing and owning firearms include : service or occupation; defence; hunting; sport; collection. The types of firearms and amount of ammunition permitted under a defence warrant is very limited. Firearms may, however, be used by any person who would reasonably be expected to be able to own or bear a firearm if he had applied for it himself. To bear generally means to have custody of it in a legal sense, not to merely carry it physically.

The Devenson Common Use Rifle Mk. III is the most common civilian rifle. It is bolt-action, uses 5/16" ammunition and issued to cadets and available for general purchase. The Royal Armourer General Use 1910 Pattern Pistol (commonly known as the RA Model 22 Pistol) is the most common civilian pistol. It is of the „pocket pistol” style, with a three inch barrel. Military issue firearms include the Devenson General Use Rifle Mk. IV and the RA General Use 1943 Pattern Pistol (the Model 25).

Ammunition is strictly controlled, and only purchasable by those with a firearms warrant. Ammunition must be stored separately from firearms, and in locked safes. Firearms themselves, loaded or unloaded, need not be locked away. Firearms must be engraven with the name of the owner and number of the warrant.

What is the minimum age for purchase of firearms? 21
What is the minimum age for possession of firearms/ammunition? 21 (ownership); no minimum age for use.
Are citizens allowed to carry firearms? If so, do they require a special license or permit? Yes, a warrant is needed to own and carry. Use is permitted without a licence if the user would satisfy the criteria for obtaining a licence.
What firearms are citizens allowed to purchase? Anything not automatic, with a warrant.
What will prohibit someone from buying/possessing firearms or ammunition? A warrant is needed to purchase and bear firearms and ammunition. No warrant may be issued to any felon or offensive misdemeanant, nor any habitual drunkard, lunatic or insane person. No warrant may be issued to a person even suspected of bad character.

Are firearms registered in your country? Yes.
Is there a limit to the amount of firearms someone may own? Depends on the warrant.
Is there a limit to the amount of ammo someone may purchase? Depends on the warrant.
Does your nation have a right to bear arms or something similar? No.
What is the full process for purchase of a firearm in your country? See above.

If everything checks out, the customer picks the firearm/ammunition they want, they pay, and leave. The seller then records the purchase account, including time, name of customer, what was purchased, age of customer, and imprisonment status of the customer.
