What does the average city in your nation look like?

The prefered style of Tyr-risuur is "feminine" architecture (buildings etc. with slender and/or curved elements as opposed to square buildings with sharp corners etc) with blends of science/technology and nature and admittedly needless - not to mention overt - artistic flare. Take for example the Ahlzorai-kahara ("Technology-nature") garden in Aka-tria which comprises of a huge half-dome (most of the "roof" is cut off) covered with well disguised solar panels with marble floor interior complete with intricate circular designs, landscaped gardens, fountains (not to mention - as is common - statues of nude and near-nude women) and the main attraction - "The Tree of Progress" - a massive tree made of metal and wires and glass and lightbulbs and holograms that - despite it's artificial nature - holds an organic appearance as appropriate for it's tree namesake.

our cities were built around the few islands on our ocean home world, with most of the structures underwater and only such industry as cannot be sustained underwater, like foundries and power plants, above sea level atop the underwater surface scrapers (like sky scrapers, but underwater).
being mostly built of cast iron plates or stainless steel in the later era's they largely resembled this:

now, they are mostly bubling craters, with a few having changed to full fledged vulcanoes, due to a sudden civil war when a group of dissident scientists used fusion warheads to destroy the oppressive government, and then those supporting that govenment. no cities have survived. and the planet is uninhabitable.
