Three of our modern states were originally independent kingdoms in their own right, with the state of Albion still maintaining their ceremonial royal family. The USI occupies the vast majority of the Continent of Ibica (hence the name) on the planet of Terra Ceralis. Ibica hosts a state of the art military, is a nuclear power, and is defended by over one and a half million active duty troops, as well as another 700,000 in reserves.
