After careful consideration, we have come to a conclusion that the alliance between our nations might not be possible in the near future, given the lack of mutual cooperation in the past, poor human rights record expressed in capital punishment and ID chips administering, and alarming corruption rates which cast serious doubts in the accountability and the ability of the current Moialian government to represent the will of the people it governs.
On the plus side, we have to praise their secularism promotion efforts.

How popular are anime, hentai and eroges in Greenwichian Arcadia?

Given that our nation is set in the year 1970, anime hadn't reached its golden age yet. However, it is fairly popular in our nation and in California in particular, as it usually meets all good stuff from Japan first (excluding Hawaii).

OOC: I'm not quite sure whether eroges and hentai were present by the year 1970, but if they were, they would be somewhat popular as well, but with age ratings slightly elevated (18+ for Japan = 21+ for Arcadia). Such an elevation would cause some ire, but will probably be repealed in 10-15 years when cultures adjust. I wonder when the word 'waifu' would enter our dictionaries.

What are some of Greenwichian Arcadia's most popular sports, and do your people perform well in them?

Ah, sports! The most prominent, popular and beloved sports in Arcadia (in no order whatsoever) are:

• Gridiron football, while somewhat popular, is overshadowed by other sports and is less popular than in our timeline;
• Association football, or soccer, as generic as it is, is easier to understand from the get-go and is slightly more popular within the nation than in OT. The national team fares alright in world championships;
• Lacrosse, played by Native Arcadians prior to the European contact, was repurposed, de-brutalized and codified around the late 19th century. While it's more popular domestically than in our timeline, it's not really played widely outside the Commonwealth. Well, the UK and Australia have some pro teams, but that's pretty much it.
• Ice hockey, a lovechild of various European and Native precursors, is mostly popular in northern states and, unlike lacrosse, is played in other northern countries like Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia (not a Nordic country). The national team's performance is pretty good;
• Baseball, while present, is overshadowed as well, just like gridiron football;
• Basketball, designed from the ground up by Arcadians in the 19th century, is by far the most popular indoor sport both worldwide and domestically. The national team is considered a formidable adversary defeated by few.

Honorable mention: intgaming, though not a physical contact sport, is renowned as the Arcadian national pastime. While it might look like a quiz show, questions here require some lateral thinking, rather than pure knowledge. This approach is the major contributor to the game's success. Some intgaming varieties like MindClash (two teams of 6 with fingers on buzzers) do look and feel like a legitimate sport, though.
