Many people refer to the Earth as "Homeland", which is gender-neutral, but in Ministry of Information propaganda, and for much of the citizenry, "Terra" or "Earth" have been used as feminine terms, with feminine pronouns. The personification of my country is male. There is a gender bent version of my country, but the male personification is more popular. People will usually use gender neutral pronouns when talking about countries though.

It is tradition to refer to our Founder-Hero (and by extension our nation) with gender-neutral pronouns(they/them). That said, personification of our nation is extremely rare except when it is personified as our Founder-Hero, Emperor Akait; such depictions are nearly universally androgynous (to the point where an overly masculine or feminine portrayal will ignite controversy). There is a tendency to avoid paternalizing the nation as well (so motherland/fatherland are not used at all widely). When not personified as the Emperor Akait, the nation is usually referred to as a possessed object (I.e. citizens abroad will often refer to it as "my Federation")

Ardrenttides generally tend to stay away from the personification of their country/nation, since they see it as being antithetical to having a proper conception of it, though a growing movement is present that seeks to foster, in national culture, a sense of what Ardrentt would be like as a personification.

So far, the gender that is, by a slim majority, agreed upon is female. There's generally pretty fierce debate about this part of the imagined person of Ardrentt; the friendliness of Ardrenttides towards feminism, even with concepts like third wave feminism, means that a sometimes unkind implication of a lack of feminist tendencies gets thrown by a few rogue members of the movement towards those on the opposing field.

There has been consideration, by some invested members of the public, to make them non-binary or genderfluid, but those points have been shot down by the movement as they generally agree that Ardrentt's culture is not going to be nearly as fluid as a genderfluid's conception of their own gender.

Therefore, in propaganda, Suretli is usually depicted as BOTH the mother and father of the Suretlisd.
