The man walked along the street, muttering to himself as he went from establishment to establishment. "Closed. Closed. Everywhere closed." He moved along to the Bistro, finding it barred and empty. He had a sneaking suspicion that the device he carried in his pack had caused all this. It had not done him any good. Ever. In all his travels it had caused him only harm, and loss. So much loss and darkness he thought he might never see the light of day again.

He looked up, stumbling over a sleeping gnome. "Stupid bloody thing." He growled, glaring down at the thing. What the hell was a gnome doing here? F7nia had changed. The almost fall had made stop and take in his surroundings. He saw lights coming from a nearby building, and he gazed up at it's sign through the driving rain that swelled the gutters on the side of the street. "The Flaming... Wombat?" He murmured, taking a step into street, grimacing as he stepped into the filth of gutter. He crossed quickly, aware that an absence of people on the streets was not a good thing. He paused at the door, opening his pack and taking out an Akubra. He felt more confident with the hat on, a present from a fellow traveller years before. He sucked in a breath, and went inside.

"An ale, barman, if you please."

Oddly enough, I think I can down more coffee (usually iced) in the evening than I can in the morning. Then again I don't really drink coffee regularly, so...

Well, I guess it also depends from where the coffee seeds are. My mom drinks Puerto Rican coffee most of the time. And that coffee, in particular, is very very strong.
