Boat: Some standard motor boat, can hold 5 people comfterbly (never could spell that damn word)
Vehicles: Van, can hold 10 people/Lincoln Navigator, holds 7/Sedan, holds 5

I covered the cars, and baot. As for the writer, I'm not very good at that sorta thing. So how about you just do a short intro, giving a short timeline of our arrival, settling in, getting our jobs. Just do it like this:

"1 week after SfA (search for allies): Group arrives, seek shelter

1 month after SfA: Group purchases large house with remaining monetary sources, begins settling in"

And so and and so forth.

You could give my guy a small squad of men and then just leave me alone. Warhaven's character could use me as a distraction while you and he plot. I could be basically meaningless to the overall picture of HUNT.

Yes but I'll have been part of HUNT for six months and will have had opportunity to rise in rank a bit. At least enough to command 9 or 10 men. And i wasn't planning on creeping Jean's group. I will have some objectives of my own.

You gotta remember. The military isn't just going to allow any person off the streets handle a weapon. You have to go to Basic Training. which is roughly 3 months and then after that you get trained in your job which is another 3 months. So in reality you actually just got assigned a team and a job.
