Just as there are the wills of the apostles, so too are there The Essences of Sin. Except, Nasagori has all seven, at once, and is the only one to ever have them.

Asmodeus's Touch: The Essence of Lust.
Leviathan's Desire: The Essence of Envy
Mammon's Riches: The Essence of Greed
Beelzebub's Fangs: The Essence of Gluttony
Belphegor's Despair: The Essence of Sloth
Satan's Strength: The Essence of Wrath
Lucifer's Boast: The Essence of Pride.

The Essence of... was only a clarifier to explain what each major demon lord was the essence of. Based on the 1589 works of Peter Binsfield.

I was indeed playing with two concepts: one being somehow incorporating the seven sins, the other being introducing some sort of anti-White Flames. You pretty much settled it all

Will we be seeing more of these seven powers in FOG2?

Well, I'd like to point out, Hellfire and White Fire would only ever be able to neutralize each other. They cannot destroy each other.

Further, just as those who have an Apostle's Will are the only ones to have White Fire, only those who bear The Essence of Sin can use Hellfire.

However, the sins have a price. The pure and innocent cannot bear sin, for it would kill them outright. Only the wicked and morally bankrupt can bear sin, and only the sin that aligns with the nature of their wickedness. A whore could not bear the essence of Wrath, for example. Those who do bear a sin, must feed that sin by doing wickedness in the nature of their sin at least once every 4-8 hours, or they will die of starvation. Otherwise, Sin bearers do not eat, sleep, or drink. Except gluttony, who's always eating, and Sloth, who's been known to take short naps.

So, for example, the bearer of Lust must have sex once every four hours, or die of starvation from lack of proper sinning.

And yes, we will be seeing more of The Seven Deadly Sins in Fog2. Starting with Lust.

Vlad could have Wrath, if ESC was interested. The bearer of Wrath gets a boost similar to Juda's Will, except they also get improved defence, and can become a terrifying Arch-Demon.

I very much like it. If the council is to accept the things we've cooked up then do you wish for the sins to play a part during the first part of FOG2, or the second?

A note to you War, about Lust.

It doesn't necessarily mean sex is a sin. But lustful and whore-like sex is. And lust isn't limited to sex either. Lust manifests in more than just that. Just a note to you when using it.

Sorry to be a stickler, but I am Christian and want to make sure that there isn't misinterpretation about how Lust works.

Agadar...

Oh, there'll be appearences of them all the way through, but it'll have its biggest Manifestation in part 2.

Jedi...

Yes, Jedi, I know that. I also understand that marital sex, in which a man has sex with the woman he loves and is married to, is not sinful.

Cool. Just checking. Sorry if I sounded bitchy.

Anycase, the whole thing has my council vote. And since Agadar and yourself are council members, that is 3.
That leaves Pip, Alby, and ESC. And I don't think they would have any problem.

Sure.

Dugal will be in his 40's at that point. The sword will be back in it's proper place, and the souls will have left it. His son will be in his 20's.

Some possibilities I had:

-If you continue to want Dugal to be host to Matthew's Will, then I suppose he will still have that
-War and I touched briefly on Dugal getting anti-aging operation from the Collective, Not sure about that
-Dugal will be a tad more religious than before and maintain relations with the Catholic Church
-Dugal will be doing research on his ancestor's conflict with Nasagori, which may lead to him discovering more about the collective, pending War's ok
-Dugal's son will be off on his own, using his powers as toys
-Dugal's son is a tad bit rebellious and resists contact with his father, due to an event in his teens, which I shall not reveal as of yet
-Still working out some other stuff

It's up to you whether that thing Dugal was planning on doing will cause him to lose Matthew's Will. The thing is that if he keeps Matthew's Will then he will be one of the targets of a great purge during the time between FOG1 and FOG2, which could interfere with what you're planning with assassins chasing Dugal and all.

Alright ESC, then I'll give him the chance in FOG2. Just remember though, once every four hours he'll have to commit a wrathful sin, or he'll die of starvation.

I advise beating the shit out of some random person, or killing them, or doing both by beating them to death with your bare fists.

Here's the thing. It would be dependent on your assassins efficiency. If it would take them months or even years at a time to find holders of the Wills, then it could contribute to my ideas. If Dugal had to constantly move his family around to avoid the assassins, then it could help the tension between himself and his son increase. But if the assassins only take a few weeks, then it won't work.
So how good are these assassins?

So, when do we show up to kill Nagasori?

Also, about the Void, if it's still being used by Nagasori, I had the idea that Eila could create reverse suction in the Void so that anytime Nagasori tries to use it, it backfires and stuff from the Gapworld rain down on him at superhigh speeds.

Kindof hard to give you a measurement without spoiling some of the things I have in mind. Let's just say that the average assassin's combat prowess will be roughly on par with some of the lesser inquisitors I introduced during FOG1, such as Sebastian, Annette, Miranda, Martin etcetera. Their equipment however will be highly advanced for their time for reasons I cannot disclosure without spoiling quite a bit. However, since the world will be in chaos there will be a lot of places for Dugal to hide, so there will be several months between clashes between Dugal and the assassins. There's a certain reason as to why the more elite assassins aren't being send after Dugal.

I guess before ESC makes a final decision, I should reveal more about The Essences of Sin:

You cannot use the nature of a particular sin against its holder, it only makes them stronger.

For example, you cannot trick Lust's holder with sex related acts.

Using Vlad as a better example:

If he were to have The Sin of Wrath, fighting him would be ineffective, as the act of fighting itself would only empower him, even if the fighter in question were doing so out of righteous anger. Divine Wrath is still Wrath after all.

Not to say he couldn't be killed in battle, only that fighting Vlad makes Vlad stronger. The only way to be truly effective in a fight against Vlad then, would be to not fight Vlad at all, that is, to exibit The Heavenly Virtue of Patience.

Of course, Vlad could still pull out a gun and shoot someone, but that's beside the point.

It's the same for each other sin. You can't outsin a sin. That would be the nature of what I'm trying to get at, I guess.

@Rup:

Well, the thing is, this tells me you never read Bernadette's final prophecy. That Agadar doesn't know what I have planned, tells me he has yet to connect the dots between everything I've said IC and OOCly thus far, and the contents of Bernadette's Prophecy.

If folks had, then they'd know why your going to be so helpful at the end of Act V, and you'd probably have a much better idea of how to use your Gapworld related powers against Nasagori in The Void.
