These words echoed through my ears as the report came in. I cursed to myself.

"What can we do!?" I screamed at one of my Generals. He shrugged and said, "Surrender." I punched him in the face and said, "I am not surrendering. I will prove my strength against him. I am tired of being beneath him. I am not a housewife!" I pulled out my Gewehr for executions, and shot him. I asked my other generals, "What do YOU suggest, Nakamura?!" Gen. Nakamura stepped back and said, "I suggest we send more troops."

And with that, 6,500,000 more troops began to seige the Castle Taltos.

The next general, General Kenji Morita, ordered the 6,500,000 to launch a series of missiles at the defenses.

Artemis Command Center, F7 Division

Commander Morgan stood in the Command and Control room in the Artemis Command Center located in an isolated section of F7. He was staring intently at a thin, long LCD monitor displaying various views on "Castle Taltos". They could see everything, troop concentrations and locations, supporting units, logistics, everything. However, the reason why this was any concern to him was something he did not know.

Commander Morgan turned toward the subordinate who informed him of the situation. "Alright, so why should I care about any of this?" He asked in a stern voice, looking down on the man. "Well...uh...sir, we could use this a chance to catch them off guard?" The younger officer looked up at him with an unsure face, sputtering as he spoke. All Morgan could do was sigh at the man. He paused, thinking about the situation. If they could hit one side hard enough, and fast enough, they could outright destroy whatever they were facing. Of course, an ordinary strike force would take too long and draw too much attention to mobilize. However...they weren't limited to conventional weapons.

"What's the status of the GLOAG?" Commander Morgan asked the jittery subordinate. The man seemed to have been taken off guard by the sudden question. He tugged at his uniform's tie uncomfortably. "Well, uh, it came online about a week ago...I thought you..." Morgan cut off the man's sputtering sentence. "That will be all, Leftenant, get back to your post."

The young officer stared at him with that same, unsure face, before slowly turning around heading back toward an occupied chair in front of one of the many computer monitors in the Command and Control Room. Commander Morgan, after watching the officer sit back in his chair, walked back toward his private office in the other side of the building. After walking in, he promptly slumped down in his seat, letting out a quick sigh. This place, so full of chaos, it's a wonder how anything survives here.

Commander Morgan sat back up in the chair, to call Artemis Central Command on his secure landline. He picked up the phone, at tapped the number combination to Central. The phone didn't even finish its first ring before being picked up. A gruff voice responding back through the line. "Artemis Central Command receiving, what does F7 Command have to report?" The man seemed fairly annoyed to be hearing from them, but then again, there wasn't a lot of good news here, and everyone at Central considered the entire F7 operation to be a waste of time and resources, but alas, they were still here. "I'm calling to request a GLOAG strike, and I'll be needing one soon, so get whoever can authorize this on the line as quickly as possible." Now, all he could do is wait, and try to convince the top brass at Central that this was needed.


Hydra Base, Artemis-held F7
Hours later

The Hydra Base was a could, mountainous military base on the very edge of F7, deep behind the isolated regions of Artemis held F7. The entire base was protected by a vast anti-air/space defense grid, and supplemented by strong ground forces and an Artemis air base located near by. Hydra was the center of this protective grid, all defensive measure stemmed from stopping enemy forces from reaching Hydra at all costs.

There was a very good reason why Hydra was so well protected. It housed four of the GLOAG cannons, giant railguns designed to launch a variety of kinetic, high explosive, and nuclear shells at extreme distances. The weapons were mounted on massive steel-composite turn-tables that allowed them a full three-hundred-sixty degrees of movement. The entire mountain side was dominated by straining noises of these turn-tables moving the weapons into a firing position. The guns were already loaded, and ready to fire. They slowly traversed to a firing line on "Castle Taltos".

There was a large, static cackling as the guns charged up, ready to fire. Suddenly, a massive booming was heard all along the mountain range as the four cannons fired their rounds. The kinetic strike rounds went streaking above the upper atmosphere, into low-orbit at well over MACH 30 for their trip to "Castle Taltos".

Upon reaching a suitable distance away from the Castle, they began to descend closer to the Earth, breaking through the atmosphere. The outer casing of the Kinetic rounds, having burnt up in the atmosphere, no longer served a purpose, and was jettisoned from the round. After the protective sabot was dropped from the kinetic rounds, several small fins popped out to ensure accurate guidance to their targets. Their trajectory continued to get steeper and steeper, falling to almost eighty degrees off the horizontal.

They were set to impact the La Resistencia troops around "Castle Taltos". The rounds were to impact far away enough to avoid major collateral damage, and close enough to decimate most of the assault force outside of "Castle Taltos". The rounds streaked toward the Resistencia troops surrounding the Castle at over MACH 26, packing enough Kinetic energy to annihilate anything in a large radius around their impact zone.

"Yeah, I know she is. Why the fuck do you think I married her?" I say, "But I forsee hot make up later."

I pull my M1911 out of my hip holster, and level it at the General's eye.

"Also," I said, "You just spat in my eye. Now I will return the favor. With hot lead"

I fired one single round into the General's head.
