Astre's eyes widened. Really, now?!

"Good grief. Lambs to the slaughter." thought aloud the Prince, glaring.

Pieter chuckled as he saw Astre's face once more, the rest of the Ryk gang going along except Williem Barnard who looked a bit more nervous. "Well, well, well, if it isn't our little Luminary pissbaby and supplier of the fuel for the locomotive of Aryan supremacy. So little humility for a royal, eh?" Pieter smirked. "Tell me, what goodies are going to come out of your bag of 'predictable vengeance' today, hm?"

Astre quick-drew his rapier.

"Would you call the vast stitchwork you had to perform on our missing friend 'predictable'?" Astre pointed his rapier at them. "Next you are going to say, 'Oh, well I can be quite unpredictable too, eh?'."

"Sorry to let you down, fortune teller, but that isn't what I meant at all. But I am very, VERY glad you brought that up! Really, saved me the wasted time trying to bring it up myself with all that lip wagging you like to do." Pieter said as he looked at Voormeulen as he lifted his shirt, revealing nothing but a mere scar that had somehow healed himself. "Quite amazing what science can do. Infact, with that in mind, I'd just like to show off a nice little development from his sector. Mind if we at least give you a quick preview of it before you cut us down like wheat stalks?" Pieter said as Voormeulen nodded to Astre with a smirk.

"Sure a lot of lip-wagging from someone who complains about it." Astre stood up, dramatically stamping his feet into the ground. "You better hope it's a meatshield." replied the Prince as he began to slowly and theatrically walk towards them, brandishing his rapier.

"Oh, but it's more than that." Pieter smirked as two unarmed guards rushed in with a cage, an armed guard following behind him. Inside the gage was what appeared to be an anorexic-looking Septette in a zombie-like state, her skin turned to a shade of green as her left eye (as her right was missing, with only an empty socket left) glowed yellow with some skin on her right cheek and the lower-right part of her jaw skinned off revealing sharpened, carnivorous teeth and raw muscle tissue. There were blood stains all over her dress, as well as tear-like drops of blood going down her eyes. The area aebove her outer thigh downwards on her left leg was completely bone with a bit of muscle tissue to above the kneecap, as well as her right elbow and forearm as well as a few fingers on her left hand having their bone expose. A large chunk was also taken out of her left side to reveal her intestines, one of her kidneys, some of her ribs and a small part of her hipbone and spine. To top it all off, she appeared to have been gnawing on a red, flesh-covered skull of what used to be a man.

"Meet your sister, Astre. This time, placed into a small-scale experiment in a... remarkably unsuccesful attempt to bring immortality." Voormeulen said as he looked onto her with a neutral expression as the girl made animalistic noises towards the partons of the saloon

"That's not my sister, you damned dotard. That's a gross replication of her," hissed Astre, the offense in his voice being made clear. He didn't stop approaching, and began to speedwalk. He abandoned his theatrical gait in favor of an aggressive, masculine one. "And with what little time you all have left, consider regretting not bringing a meat-shield. Engarde!"

Astre charged, preparing for a thrust.

Astre charged, preparing for a thrust.

As Astre charged towards him, he backed quickly and ran to the cage Septette was in, holding a Schwarzlose pistol in his hand, but not pointing or firing. "A replication, hm? Is that so? Take another look." Even though this fact of her being a clone was true, she was designed to try and be as similar as she could to Septette without actually being her. The dress she wore looked familiar, and she even seemed to look at Astre with concern through her cage, despite her supposedly being a bloodthirsty, emotionless zombie.

Astre stopped and seemingly absentmindedly attempted to lob off an arm and a leg off of Voormeulen as he talked. "Are you daft? Yes, you are. I spoke with my twin sister shortly before I set out. And I arrived merely a few minutes ago."

Voormeulen managed to narrowly miss the swipe to his arm, but the blade managed to cut through the doctor's leg, revealing a series of sparks as he started chuckling, looking towards the Luminary prince. "Oh, aren't you just that persceptive? Really, If I had thought you were any smarter at the time, I would have brought in that gorilla I infused with your DNA a few months ago. Or how about that one clone I injected with the world's most powerful performance-enhancing drugs and manmade acids? Or maybe those pornographic movies I had uploaded to the internet of 'Little Miss Submissive Septette.' 25 million copies sold in adult stores worldwide. She's making a true name for herself, you know." Voormeulen said as he leaned onto a table, his laugh getting weaker as the other Ryk members watched on.

Astre didn't really give a shit about what these commoners were saying until that last part. He seethed. "...So you're all appliances now? You're wasting your time coming here, then. Of course, my hit-list has gained twenty-five million or so." Astre flash-stepped by Voormeulen and attempted to bisect him.

The robot was then cut in half as sparks and battery acid poured onto the ground, the rest of the officials attempting to retreat as Pieter held a Schwarzlose pistol. Voormeulen weakly looked up at him with a smirk. "Really, now? You want to kill innocent men, and maybe a few women, for being naturally perverse as they are, unaware of who it is, and where she came from, and what the real story is? You just love escalating things, don't you? Didn't your parents teach to be humble?" Voormeulen said as his voice started to glitch out. "I don't suppose you actually realise none of this really effects you. We've repeated this time and time again; your name is only sullied in one world. Other than that, every other reality's view on you depends entirely on how you want them to see you, be it a monster or a man. And right now? The former is starting to show."

"My teacher taught me to never make mistakes..."

Astre flash-stepped behind the crowd of retreated robots and swung with wild but calculated swipes as he dove into them, attempting to dismember them wholly. A few more words hung on his mouth, and he saved them for the aftermath of his attack.

Meanwhile, the robotic replicas would be slaughtered as they were turned to scrap metal by Astre's sword. A shot was fired at him by Pieter, but the robot was surely cut apart after. The zombie clone of Septette continued watching on as she grew invested in Astre and his actions.

Astre had spotted Pieter's little death throe and dodged the attack.

"...and to suffer you roaches to persist in life is a mistake."

Astre turned to the zombie and watched. "What are you looking at?"

The zombie could only reply as she giggled and weakly replied. "Myself... normal..." She simply said, gnawing on the bloody skull.

"Absolutely not, sister. And--and while you're at it, stop eating that. Bad clone, BAD!" chided Astre, before circling around and punting the entire cage into the tavern, causing it to nearly bowl over and barely managing to stay upright.

Astre sheathed his rapier and punting Pieter-bot's arm into the cage. "Teeth on that if you're going to be like that." He then returned to the bar and got to finishing up his drink.

Bill was already seated next to him.

"Hm. Recovering from an ordeal like that calls for a good vintage."

He signed something to Mouffan, who then produced an old bottle of wine, the label so old as to be barely legible, the contents thick and dark as blood. Bill poured a glass for both of them.

"Broken Giant 1844. Definitely one of the better vintages of the last century. Now, about your... sister, if you'll call her such... I... might be able to restore some sense into her. I can't fully cure her condition, understand, but I may be able to recover her formal mental state. I understand that she isn't your original sister, but if she was created to be the same in so many ways I thought you might wish to assist her."

Aozora hadn’t said a word on, or indeed done a thing about, the craziness that had ensued. Truth be told, she had rather enjoyed observing it all. She’d picked up on something about clones, other versions...ah, alternate variations...they could be so bothersome. With the combat over, Aozora stood up, examining the rather...erratic...girl who had been brought in.

”Ah, such a twisted abomination, isn’t she? She probably exists purely for the purpose of causing one single individual suffering. Tell you what, if you don’t care about her- and you shouldn’t, I mean, look at her. She’s just a poor replication of someone you care about, a mere imitation designed just to make you miserable- but anyway, if you don’t want her, I’ll take her. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure she’s happy and whatever. Reincarnation always does...”

Astre dismissed both Bill and Aozora with a gesture and looked away, taking a sip of white wine. "Fine, whatever...the real one is safe at home anyways."

Bill looked at her.

"Quite frankly, I don't trust you to take care of her. No offense."

He glanced at the clone.

"No, I think I can take care of this. She seems to have retained enough of her intelligence and self to be helped. It's the least I can do to give her something closer to a normal life."

”Why not? Surely if there’s one thing I can be trusted to do, it’s change people’s minds against their will, right? Besides, I find myself rather lacking in...compatriots, at the moment. She is an aberration. There’s no getting around that. But I happen to be interested in aberrations. Besides, you’re going to fail. You’ll be too soft. That’s the basic difference that’ll cause you problems. You care about her wellbeing to some extent, and I don’t. You mighg say that makes me less qualified. I say it means I can do what is necessary without being shadowed forever by regret and sorrow if I fail.”
