"Mister Speaker, I'd like to thank the House for passing the European Union Referendum Act, but I find it disappointing that so many Representatives in the Galatean Action Party and Workers Party voted against it. I understand that there are strong opinions about the European Union across the House, but this bill isn't about joining the EU or not, it's about democracy and the people having their say. Surely even the staunchest Eurosceptics shouldn't be opposed to the people having their say.

The Government is doing everything it can to fight inequity, with programs like healthcare for all, public housing projects, and progressive taxation.
