The results have been tallied. Due to Collatis and Judah being the one's that have also looked at the vote, they will post as well confirming the official results listed down below.

Impeachment of Merizoc- 13 Ayes, 8 Nays.

As such, Merizoc is hereby removed from his position as admin and striped of his duties as such.

I look like a scrub for asking that question but I know what we are doing with elections and the basics. I just dislike the way we do our locations. I should finish my city soon

Public inquiry. Anyone remember me from Fernão.

As Sarian rejoins the us living:

"When I saw him, I fell down at his feet like a dead man. He placed his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the first and the last. I am the living one! I was dead, but now I am alive forever and ever. I have authority over death and the world of the dead." Revelation 1:17-18

Recommended listening to remember the sacrifices of the Lord.

Alright, we are going to start prepping for these elections. In this case, we'll be aiming to have elections sometime next Saturday. During the course of that time, at which, you'll be campaigning, we'll ask for the parties to provide a list of the Presidential Nominees and Party Leaders to provide us a list of candidates for the Seven Seats in the House of Tribunes (here's the thread: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=436778)

Here is a map of how the districts will be drawn up: https://imgur.com/a/2VmTd

For campaigning, you'll be allow to post in the Daily Life thread to role-play events. However, you'll also be allowed to create your own campaign threads if you like though, make sure you distinguish them if you have a character running for the Tribune or President.

I will information regarding what Archism posted here:

The Miaphysite Church of Coptic Archism wrote:If you have any specific questions I'm sure any of us would be happy to help. :)

As a general rundown, there are probably going to be four different votes before we have a functioning government. Everyone gets to be a member of the House of Representatives (lower house), so you're secure there. There's also an upper house, the House of Tribunes, which has seven seats. Anyone can run for one seat, everyone gets one vote and decides which seat's election they vote in (if you're running, you can still vote in a different district than that one). A Tribune character is different to your Representative one, and if you're elected to the House of Tribunes you still are also a member of the House of Representatives.

Then there's also a President, who is mostly ceremonial but with some reserve powers. After the President's elected he can invite someone to try to form a government, we'll probably have a confidence vote in the House of Representatives which will elect a Prime Minister and establish an executive government. Then we'll need to elect a speaker for the House of Representatives (so will the Tribunes I'd expect), after which, all the elections are finished and we can get down to business running the country until the next ones.

The Miaphysite Church of Coptic Archism wrote:Tribunes are not elected from IC lower house members, and if you're planning on running for the House of Tribunes you will need a second character to do it with (or if you want your current one to run for the tribunes, you'll need a second character to take their place in the lower house). If elected as a Tribune, you do retain your lower house seat.

In that regards, let the campaigning begin!

Also, given the recent events that have happened regarding an impeachment of an admin, we'll be looking to take nominations again. Please send your nominations to Krukan (no self-nominations will be accepted).

That'd be idiotic. It's good for organization. The admins should set up a speaker's office with a separate Speaker's account so that we can have one continuous office for the whole thing, and not have to change it with each speaker. Bill depository for passed bills, so we know what's law without having to trawl through chamber threads.

Have people submit bills by messaging the Speaker, who then publishes an order paper linking to the bills in the coffee shop.

I believe that this is a superior system. Bill depositories and speaker’s offices have never worked in the past.

Speaker's office worked fine in Calaverde, only problem was that it was controlled individually and so didn't end up getting archived.

The depositories were set up in a bad way the last few times, but when they were just for passed bills we'll be fine. The admins just have to make sure they're not lazy about bumping.

I am interested in running for Tribune for whichever state / canton / zone / plebiscite / thingamajiggery the Isle of Pochenti falls under. I will make a formal declaration when all the pronouns and place names are whatchamadoodled :)

edit: registering as a candidate for Tribune, District 7, IC declaration coming

So we just announce our candidacy here? If so Claudia Pesaro is running in the Tribune elections as a candidate for Province One.
