Alright, we are going to start prepping for these elections. In this case, we'll be aiming to have elections sometime next Saturday. During the course of that time, at which, you'll be campaigning, we'll ask for the parties to provide a list of the Presidential Nominees and Party Leaders to provide us a list of candidates for the Seven Seats in the House of Tribunes (here's the thread:

Here is a map of how the districts will be drawn up:
https://imgur.com/a/2VmTdFor campaigning, you'll be allow to post in the Daily Life thread to role-play events. However, you'll also be allowed to create your own campaign threads if you like though, make sure you distinguish them if you have a character running for the Tribune or President.
I will information regarding what Archism posted here:

As a general rundown, there are probably going to be four different votes before we have a functioning government. Everyone gets to be a member of the House of Representatives (lower house), so you're secure there. There's also an upper house, the House of Tribunes, which has seven seats. Anyone can run for one seat, everyone gets one vote and decides which seat's election they vote in (if you're running, you can still vote in a different district than that one). A Tribune character is different to your Representative one, and if you're elected to the House of Tribunes you still are also a member of the House of Representatives.
Then there's also a President, who is mostly ceremonial but with some reserve powers. After the President's elected he can invite someone to try to form a government, we'll probably have a confidence vote in the House of Representatives which will elect a Prime Minister and establish an executive government. Then we'll need to elect a speaker for the House of Representatives (so will the Tribunes I'd expect), after which, all the elections are finished and we can get down to business running the country until the next ones.
The Miaphysite Church of Coptic Archism wrote:Tribunes are not elected from IC lower house members, and if you're planning on running for the House of Tribunes you will need a second character to do it with (or if you want your current one to run for the tribunes, you'll need a second character to take their place in the lower house). If elected as a Tribune, you do retain your lower house seat.
In that regards, let the campaigning begin!
Also, given the recent events that have happened regarding an impeachment of an admin, we'll be looking to take nominations again. Please send your nominations to
Krukan (no self-nominations will be accepted).
