May these brave soldiers never be forgotten.

The Royal Family is funding Wakaliwood, because it, according to Prince Mikail, "has so much potential for it to fade into oscurity." The move, while many didn't care, was popular among those who cared, mainly because it had something to do with memes.

Uses certain NS stats.

Atlantis is an MT nation that is the third richest country in the world, behind only China and the United States. It is closer to the USA, UK, Italy and Spain (in that order, though Italy and Spain is probably tied) culturally than it is Greece. It is also a naval power.

And no, Atlantis is not underwater: It has a land area around the size of France.

Pros: Classical liberalism, democracy, the West, Brexit, Viktor Orban, free education, strong military
Cons: Authoritarianism, fascism, communism, multiculturalism, Islamism

Edit: Ninja'ed! I'm sorry!
I guess that's good for Waki...and memes...

Instatua Korektsionol sen Schirmvorso, or “The Correctional Institute of Schimvorso” for you English speakers, is widely regarded as the worst prison in Toraia. Nicknamed Kiva Tenem, meaning “the dark rock,” it is poorly funded and reserved for perpetrators of Toraia’s most heinous crimes. The budget is spent mostly on security, so the facilities are quite lax (What did you expect? The Ritz? This is Toraia we're talking about.) While it’s not a torture camp (torture is illegal in Toraia), it’s definitely not a pleasant place. It’s not supposed to be, though, so...mission accomplished? Luckily, crime rates are quite low in Toraia, so it’s not like we have to send many people there anyway.

Keep it closed like that. :/

Zitravgrad (as well as every nation in our world) is a member of League of Nations, which sets certain (very loose) rules, laws and regulations for all nations to follow, as well as settles international conflicts, encourages international projects and arranges a meeting between all leaders called 'the Congress'. While seen as nearly inefficient, League of Nations' power is still recognized to an extent. They are responsible for 'protecting peace, prosperity, freedom and civil rights' and their power is based on what we call 'The Congress System' in which there are so many major powers that they balance out each other.

The Congress system works in democratic ways, with each solution needing majority approval to pass. But it can be hard to actually enact the said proposals, because their power depends on their members. If the members do not enforce the proposals among themselves, there is little they can do.

So is the LoN a descendant of the UN, or is this an alternate timeline where the original LoN sustained itself? Either way, trying to promote global peace is good.

Despite their sizeable automobile manufacturing industry and their reputation for working as shuttle drivers in other countries, a portion of Toraian citizens prefer to drive motorcycles or ride elk instead of driving cars.

I suppose that means roads are less congested? And in a way that actually makes sense.

The Cult of war has just experienced a successful coup. This is very common in the Cult of War, with there being a near endless supply of warlords, chieftains, generals, and others. Despite the frequent coups, the end result is that very little actually changes between the regimes, as most of these coups have little to do with political unrest and more to do with attempted power-grabs. Occasionally political unrest is a motivator, but even then little changes because of the nature of the system in place. No matter what happens, lands controlled by the Cult are politically unstable geopolitical quagmires where nothing can be accomplished and the constant cycle of violence is not only perpetuated, but promoted on every level.

Good Lord. That sounds horrible.

A page on the crowdfunding website Funding Father promising to gather a group of Exodia's most prominent film analysts and commentators to finally bring an end to the mystery of Who Killed Captain Alex? actually has racked up the Exodian equivalent of almost $10,000 in USD. Other film enthusiasts not mentioned on the page have already started themselves, going in and combing the movie for as many clues as possible. Not only that, but an official Film Theory is expected soon.

This is crazy. I thought Who Killed Captain Alex? died years ago.

Just repeating a fact: After the military junta was ousted in 1975, our junta President, Raymond de Wit, fled to Turkey and had converted to Islam after conversing with some Islamic clerics, enchanted by their rhetorics and the teachings of the Qur'an. Raymond deeply praised the religion for glorifying heroism and death as a martyr. He viewed Islam in a positive light after his conversation and conversion. Raymond would later become a military advisor to Saddam Hussein and later, Muammar Gaddafi.

At least he is not fixated on 'removing kebab'.

On the same topic, then. Kazimir Miroslavsky had been a devout Orthodox until 2005 (and was quite lapsed until he turned atheist) and followed most of its practice. But he slowly lost faith in the corrupted church officials and the implementation of inquisitors by the Empire. Once Zitravgrad gained independence, he lifted the tax exemption from churches and monasteries and demanded that they pay taxes like all citizens, aiming for a normal secular government. This caused a strain in the relationship between the government and the Church, which was used to being supported by the Crown and not pleased with the new socialist government.

Anti-government and pro-imperial rule riots started, despite the secession and the independence already being recognized. These riots were soon found to be backed by the church officials in hope of installing a more religious government. This became the long feud between the Church and the ruling government which lasted from 2009 until Act of Atheism was officially passed in 2015, and thus led to massive deportation of church officials and the devout out of the country.

Bonus: It is said that the Chairman found out about a plan to assassinate him while he was praying in a church and that the priest had involvement in the plan. He stood up, threw the Bible into the priest's face and stormed out. Then, the Act of Atheism would be passed the next day.

Qasheeri's government have neutral views on the sovereignty of Israelites and Palestinians in Jerusalem / Baitulmuqaddis because of several reasons. Most and the primary reason is the fact that there are both Qasheeri-Israeli that reside in Qasheer, as well a decent number of Qasheeri-Palestinian too. This, to avoid further problems in mere future, have led Qasheeri's government to ignore the conflict entirely. However, people have their own views about the sovereignty of both parties involve.

Ummah Party, one of the most influential political party in Qasheer, have tried a few times to influence the government to choose Palestinians' side in the conflict. Eastern Judaism Movement of Yahudiah, an influential political movement in the division of Yahudiah (also referred as Israel by some of Yahudiah's people) shows their solidarity to Israelites in the conflict.

Regardless, Qasheeri's government still shows neutrality in the conflict and further noticed the people that 'the government will not take any effort to resolve the conflict'.

That is a great value

While we have huge, multinational corporations, they are still under our control (as in their ability to get away with what they do). We own parts of their companies, regulate them, and put inspectors to inspect the company's working, even as far as it's overseas branch or facility, after authorization by the nation hosting it. It also helps that almost all of the CEO's are noble, due to our morality education that teach people not to be a bad people (as in committing crimes and not being a jerk in general, as well as helping people), as well as the traditional Kendorian values, including high patriotism. There is also the fact that corrupt people will be punished with huge fines and a mininum of 15 years in prison, with rehabilitation.

Hopefully their numbers are rising.

Despite the female + male relationship endorsed by Kremvhism, there is little to no discrimination against homosexuals. Homosexuals and ‘non-breeding’ couples are warm welcomes, as they can take on a greater number of orphaned children and take the strain of parenthood off the breeding couples to a great extent. They’re traditionally carers of children whilst biological parents either work or attend to other business. Bisexuals are also appreciated in Kremvhism, due to their capacity to be either ‘breeding’ or ‘non-breeding’.

Adoption is good. The stigma that adopted children are less valid than biological needs to go.

Pollsters asked bilingual students taking a Toraian course what their favorite word or phrase they’d studied was. The winner was “ma mualala,” which means “to make a ridiculous noise.” I think they picked that because they thought it was funny for there to be such an oddly specific verb. Sort of like how so many people like the word “defenestration.”

In this Germany, the word "neoconservative" has a very different meaning from the (OOC) US meaning. Also known as "Neue Konservative", it denotes the libertarian conservatism which gained prominence in the NLP and DKP perties after the Honecker Dictatorship's fall, a time when authoritarianism became taboo on both the Right and Left.

Vampires are somewhat desensitized to pain. Minor injuries don’t bother them at all, and major injuries are more of a shock thing than anything else. This is because their healing abilities mean they don’t need to be careful with their injuries, as long-term healing isn’t really a thing. Therefore, the pain reflex has been mostly deactivated as feeling pain on a human level would be more of a crux than anything.
However, being bitten is pleasurable.

"Being bitten is pleasurable?" Seems pretty masochistic to me...

The current prime minister of Toraia, Yascho Jairo, has a Tumblr account. He uses his blog to teach other Tumblr users about the culture and how to speak Toraian. He does not, however, use it for political purposes -- not even expressing his views. It would be unprofessional, he claims. The one time he got political on his account was taking a stand for net neutrality.
