It can stagger the economy when there is a govermental house led solely by unions with no regard to the industry itself.

You should utilize soft power like cinema to better your image abroad and erase any doubts of xenophobia.

Speaking of image and stereotypes.....
In 1966, the Palmeran Air Defense Force shot down a RB-47 recon plane of the USAF utilizing a Soviet-built S-75/SA-2 SAM battery because it unlawfully intruded in our airspace. The American plane tried using electronic countermeasures (like the ones used in Vietnam at the time) to no avail. It happened because we tweaked around and added antennae to the missiles which gave them guidance-corrections through a datalink with the target acquisition radar. We meant it to be kept a secret as long as possible because we didn't want the outside world to realize that we upgraded lower quality export-model Soviet missiles all by ourselves...as a cover story the Air Force stated it used a MiG-17 to intercept and take down the plane.

When the surviving pilots were released in 1969 the secret eventually went out, not that it made a difference because the Soviets also upgraded their own S-75s by then. For better or worse, our reputation as tech wizards began to grow even if we wanted to give the West the impression of us being boastful and air-headed Latins at the time.

I didn't really understand it but it sounds complicated.

The choir dress of a priest of the Church of Nortend includes a black cassock, stiff detachable clerical collar, linen clerical bands, 'comely' white linen lawn surplice, black scarf (silk for masters and stuff for bachelors and non-graduates) and academic hood for bachelors and above.

For a bishop, a crimson red cassock is worn with a linen lawn rochet underneath the linen surplice. An academic hood (conventionally a D.D. hood which is crimson trimmed with grys) is worn over the surplice with an optional furred almuce in grys and lined in miniver in winter. An ecclesiastical wig is also worn by all bishops, unless the mitre is worn, which is the distinction of a Cardican bishop. Priests do not wear wigs in choir, however may wear a coif or skullcap if cold.

Both priests (and deacons and subdeacons) and bishops may wear the cope in which case usually the academic hood is removed, although the almuce and scarf are kept. The cope is usually only worn in processions and in non-Eucharistic rites. Other copes include the black cloth cappa nigra, used for funerals, penitential processions and in winter by priests in choir and the cappa clausa which archbishops are entitled to with a long crimson velvet mantle with ermine hood.

That’s definitely interesting and something I haven’t heard of before. Religious dress and their meanings are quite alien to me, but either way, interesting.
No Man’s Land is a video game for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC developed and published by the Brytish gaming company Hardwired Systems. No Man’s Land belongs to the shooter and historical genres of gaming, and is set during the First Great War, Mundus’s equivalent to the First World War. There are three playable campaigns and characters at this point in time: Albert Lloyd, a private in the Brytish Army, stationed in the Brytish Raj (Lloyd’s campaign explores the political and social atmosphere in the Raj at the time, including racism and religious differences); Wohali Blanc, a Louisianan of Cherokee descent, whose story in northern France explores xenophobia and the plight of the New World natives at the hands of Louisiana and others; and Shinji Takara, a Japanese sailer in service of the Imperial Japanese Navy in East Asia, whose campaign offers a uniquely Japanese perspective on the war and the world as a whole.

A German campaign and Russian campaign will be made available by DLC, despite rumours of a future instalment in the franchise set during the Second Great War circling amongst the gaming community.

Th Catsfernian rocket of choice it the Hellfire missile developed by the Lucifer program. Hellfire misses are designed to contain a mixture of napalm and shrapnel. This volatile mixture is designed both to kill, and to weaken enemy morale. These misses are often delivered in large numbers onto enemy lines by rocket trucks, and have proven effective in combat.

Damn, these seem like powerful weapons. I'd hate to be opposing your nation in a conflict.

King Sarkos IV, current ruling monarch of South Reinkalistan, was kept in a Work Camp from the ages of 12 to 21 during the days of the Socialist Turaniski Council. He escaped when the camp was stormed in 1977 during a major insurgency, allowing him to escape, and eventually begin a resistance that ended up overthrowing the People's Republic. He proclaimed a republic, and after a short regency, he was elected King.

Mixed feelings. Better that Nora take control of the Commonwealth than some of the lunatics out there in the wastes. However, it seems that the loss of her son at the hands of the Institute has forever scarred her, and now she copes with depression via the use of chems.

The Oktopus II SSNs have been upgraded with nano-enhanced titanium alloy bulkheads, which strengthen the submarine's hull to a point were they can dive substantially deeper than most submarines. A simple evasive maneuver to evade detection is merely to dive deeper. The subs are equipped with the J-86 Shipwreck torpedoes, which are built with materials similar to the sub's bulkheads, allowing them to survive the extreme pressures of the deep, and to be fired from extreme depths. An added bonus is increased durability and hull penetration for the J-86s.

The Hokumeto Federation is one of the post-Event Inkling Nations, and swears to maintain the old Inkling values of liberty and happiness. As their name implies, it is a right-libertarian federation comprising of 5 districts, formally known as states.

The Hokumeto Federation, on it's limited contact with the Brotherhood of Squid and the Second Inkling Queendom, despises both countries, as they directly go against the old values that characterized pre-event Inkling civilization.

When it comes to military terms, Hokumeto is usually classified third, behind the Brotherhood and the Inkling Queendom. However, it is wildly especulated that Hokumeto will surpass the Brotherhood of Squid, thanks to Hokumeto's use of Inkling Queendom derived technology.

Sounds like my type of guys, but I would be more urgent about that rearmament. When even the mostly democratic nation whose tech you copy and whose presence is the only thing preventing global totalitarianism disliked you, that's exactly the situation where you should stock up on weapons.

Germany has long been at odds with Britain - ever since before the victory in the Great War. Now, in the 1970s, after Britain was thoroughly humbled by the United States and rejected by Japan, and Germany was locked in a nuclear stand-off with Russia and China, they underwent somewhat of a detente; They even had some military coordination, and both were at that time influenced by social-democratic teachings. However, Britain's Labour was always more hardline, and thus when the German Civil War launched (fought between communists and constitutionalists), Britain vocally and financially supported the former. When the constitutionalists won, they weren't too amused. At this point, while tensions between the two governments aren't exactly high, the resentment between the two peoples has reached a new low. By now the existence of the US is the only reason why Germans are still fine with using English loanwords and technical terms.

Historically, Germany, France, Britain, and Russia are the four tigers of Europe, so rivalry between them is to be expected. However, the bits about linguistics is the intriguing part when it comes to loan words.

Berlin is an island on Earth. Climate change drowned a large portion of Earth's landmass and the Technocracy did all it can to stabilize the environment after the UN was negligent in the 21st century. The damages are permanent, but extinction was averted, and Berlin's climate is much different now than it was hundreds of years ago. It's now a huge shipping area of Europe and underwater subway stations connect Berlin to other cities across the Europa Region of Earth ("Terrae*" in New Terran). Berlin, however, never developed its Germanic culture past the 21st century and now blends an old-fashion German culture with culture of the Sinosphere, evolving into a anachronistic feel of the city. You can see the Brandenburger Tor, but around it is Japanese or Chinese botanical gardens, cherry blossom flowers adorning every corner, the smell of Plum Blossoms, every man-made lake for aesthetics has the Lotus flower floating around, koi ponds, and the nightlife has the smell of Mao Cai, Takoyaki, Jianbing, Banh Xeo, & Mandu Guk. Beer is still very common but is seen as a 'lunch time' drink whereas Soju, Sake, and Baijiu are the liquors of choice for various occasions. The population that didn't get Recycled, contributed greatly to the local culture: Western European, Romanian, Turkish, Persian, Arab, and sub-saharan African. Edikang Ikong (Nigerian), Beef Koobideh (Middle Eastern), Sarmale (Romanian), Currywurst (German), and Iskender Kebab (Turkish) all influence each other, including influencing East Asian cuisine. Their culture also added a blend to the Sinosphere-dominated culture of Earth.

During the early days of the Technocracy, when only a unified Earth housed Terrans, Berlin was a contender to be the capital of Humanity because the island city state has a strong influence from all corners of the world: African, European, and Asian. However, the Han Supremacists blocked any measure to move the capital from Beijing to outside of China. Today, Berlin is essentially the New York City/Los Angeles/London/Paris of Humanity. Mostly since New York was destroyed and never rebuilt.

Well, Berlin must be interesting to live in, in this reality. But now you can get beachfront property in the middle of europe

Alpes a Septentrionalis has gone through many flags in its time as an empire. The reason for this ranging from the choices of the ruling emperor to the people just making the government change the flag to make it fit Alpes at the time. This has resulted though in Alpes having many different and strange looking flags ranging from ones with a union jack on them to literally Fleur-de-lis every where on the flag.

The current trend right now sees to be three coats of arms in the middle. They are the coat of the military, The emperor, and The Kingdom of Gaul and Germany combined into one coat of arms. It also seems to switch between a cross and flags to three vertical stripes of color. Because of all the flags used over the years Alpes has created a flag registry (Note the registry is out of date right now)

I mean Alabama May agree with that.

The Catsfernian military uniforms are medieval style suits of armor comprised of an alloy. The exact composition of the alloy is a military secret so closely guarded that even John Henry Eden himself is unaware of the mixture of metals. The armor is known of being light and comfortable, but also quite strong being able to deflect small arms fire with only minimal scratching.

That seems still somewhat impractical. Full plate armour is only worn as a ceremonial uniform of certain regiments and by certain chivalric knights.

There are only five 'professional' degrees offered by Erbonian universities. These are the Bachelor of Letters, Bachelor of Philosophy, Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Physic/Medicine and Bachelor of Divinity, along with their doctorate counterparts. Interestingly, all three are 'postgraduate' degrees, and can only be conferred (except in special situations) upon persons already of the degree of Master of Arts.

Hence, every university student must first study for his Bachelor of Arts for 2⅓ years and the Master of Arts for one year before he can formally begin study for a professional degree, which takes around three years. The fact that a Bachelor of Arts only incepts as a Master of Arts twenty-one terms after Matriculation at minimum means that the bachelor at the end of his 'professional' degree studies, will typically first incept as a Master of Arts at the end of his sixth year and 21st term, and then supplicate for his higher degree at the start of the next year.

Though the Arts programme has compulsory Classics and Humanities lectures (such as on Ethics, Logic, Grammar, Rhetoric, Music, Theology, Poetry, History and Metaphysics), it also has a large number of elective lectures which the student may choose, in fields such as the natural sciences, physical sciences, philosophy, music, theology, history, languages &c. Study in the higher degrees generally requires the student to have heard certain specific lectures as a bachelor or master, depending on the degree (and specialisation if pertinent), and if not, hear them before commencing his further studies.

That looks like an overcomplicated and generally poorly-thought-out way of getting everyone to at least know some humanities and arts. Why not just make a few important classes compulsory if you absolutely have to, but not waste the students' times by so many classes that may be irrelevant to what they want to study?

Due to its lack of participation in the two Great Wars and later the Cold War, the United States essentially fell back in terms of military technology. They developed new weapons alongside everyone else as the infantry became somewhat less important and armor -and mechanized and motorized units- slowly became more relevant, but they never developed the new tactics and doctrines as the Europeans -and Japan- did. In fact, America didn't even have WMD development until after the catastrophic third Anglo-American War in the 1970s which created a crater out of nearly all of San Francisco.

That's a relief. I hope your world's America never become the menace they are irl.

Symbols for Amenrian factions, including the national flag and the symbols for noble families, follow a simplistic, angular design to reflect the futuristic state of the world and the rigid, by-the-book tendencies of the government. RMD broke this trend with the new symbol for the Starchild Sorority and plans to continue doing so with logos for individual members to reflect the perspective of the youthful, fresh, and creative young women in said rigid society.

I do like simplicity more than complexity when it comes to logos and other such symbols. Whilst it’s nice and all the Starchild Sorority are doing something different, I still prefer simple logos. They just seem to say much more than complex ones.
Andrastia’s technological level is midway between PMT and FT, whilst the society itself is fairly MT. Military technology is akin to that of the 2050s-2070s, whilst civilian and government technology is much further ahead. Cloning, body modification and redesign, transferal of consciousness and artificial intelligence are almost ubiquitous within Andrastia itself, but absent from Earth. Andrastia is very protective over its technology and restricts Earth’s access to technologies that could threaten Andrastia’s sovereignty and status as the most powerful human civilisation.

(Compensation-response to Andrastia)

Well, I can't blame them. Any technological advantage is a piece in geopolitical chess, and you don't just waste pieces left and right. On a side note, consciousness transfer? Yes please! To me it's actually one of the few things I can't imagine we will crack soon, but the change it'll bring to human relations is incalculable.

AN: Well, that makes sense. Wait too long and the fervor dies down.

The one field in which Germany has -always- been behind America and Britain is social information. The Anglosphere has much more global sway when it comes to their news media, their political analysts and their social activists. This was most prominently displayed when Germany was ranked as 'Mostly Unfree' in freedom indexes in 1995-1999 just because there was a widespread (but incorrect) belief that the military had precedence over the civil service in the wake of the Civil War.
