It's always good to see corporations helping countries in need. Gives me hope for the capitalist system.

Cool beans! Though, I can't help but wonder in which context you'd use the runes. Huh.

Though the death of a Fleet Girl can be as grisly as any human's, modern naval vessels have demonstrated themselves as incapable of sustaining permanent injury. There have been plenty of cases of lost eyes or dismembered limbs (save the head), but with good rest, these fully heal over a period of time ranging from a few days to three years. Even in cases where poor diet and lack of sleep retains the mark of an injury, the scars begin to fade after several weeks' worth of rest.

Just like the Japanese imperial family?

A 1:1 replica of the German battleship Bismarck can be found in the Atlantean Museum of Naval Warfare. It was commissioned by a certain Landro Teras, the third richest man in Atlantis, and was donated to the museum in 2016, just in time for the 75th anniversary of the sinking of the Bismarck. (BTW, Bismarck's sinking happened at Denmark Strait one day earlier in our timeline.)

Unfortunately, the battleship can never be operational.

Uses certain NS stats.

Atlantis is an MT nation that is the third richest country in the world, behind only China and the United States. It is closer to the USA, UK, Italy and Spain (in that order, though Italy and Spain is probably tied) culturally than it is Greece. It is also a naval power.

And no, Atlantis is not underwater: It has a land area around the size of France.

Pros: Classical liberalism, democracy, the West, Brexit, Viktor Orban, free education, strong military
Cons: Authoritarianism, fascism, communism, multiculturalism, Islamism

Yes, that is to be expected. It really isn’t worth commissioning a fully-functional battleship just to donate it.

Our national animal is the fox. Either because of some symbolic thing about how we can't act like bold, shouty lions and have to get to our goals by guile, or because Franz I (the guy who founded the kingdom of Frievolk) liked Foxes.

While we're mostly MT and early PMT in our tech, energy weaponry (laser guns) of both small arms and long guns already exist and are employed to a certain degree in the Frievolker Armed Forces. Military-grade AI exist, though civilian AI is not yet developed to the point of sapience. We expect that early civilian AI with sapience will have been developed by 2019 or 2020, however.

Ask a Zitravgradian what he is concerned of about the upcoming election and he will answer "foreign interference". Although a new and small power, Zitravgrad's strong energy and mining industries are attractive enough for foreign powers to try prying their hands in the nation's business. Their hope goes to the Workers' Party (state-capitalist) and the United Front (regulated capitalist), who are more likely to keep the foreign trades open if they are elected.

"I can understand their concern. It is natural for foreign powers to attempt to either secure another superpower's resources for themselves and undermine others to secure their position. Trust me, this nation felt it in its early days as well."
- Chancellor Louis Hermainsch

Communists have long formed a stubborn opposition to the government. In the early days of Revolutionary Dequarmi in 1921, they were the earliest non-monarchist opposition to the moderatists. Communist revolutionaries attempted an overthrow of the government once again in 1927. Whatever the reason, communists have long been an opponent of the government, but a government which is surprisingly willing to tolerate them; ironically, the current moderatists use very tiny parts of socialist economic policy in their own leadership.

Always nice to save resources.

Due to our unique history our species jumped from bronze age technology to owning two fully functional ships with ftl drives. Finding our ships meant we didn't have to spend the rest of our existence on our ruined home world and interact with other species. But it also meant that we had no concept of well most things species learn by the time they reach the space age. That caused several problems in trying to design stuff and maintenance. But now several millennia we're pretty sure we got the missed knowledge down though our own experiments and lessons by species that knew better than us.

All Crysukons are raised bilingual, on passan english (a local dialect) and Vakecian, an amalgamation of native languages with fragments of English and Spanish, the word itself directly translates to English as "union of tongues" it's the kind of language in which complex concepts can be communicated in one or a few words, it even includes a base 16 mathematical system, using the palm, wrist and forearm as counting points. It's writing system looks complicated, with many unique symbols, marks and curves but is remarkably easy to learn, as it's syntax and structure is similar to European languages.

The Atlantean English accent sounds almost exactly like the Welsh accent. Sometimes, many Atlanteans, in particular, those of Nordic, British and, to an extent, American descent, can be confused for a Welshman.

Info from my world, rather than just Frievolk
The First Caliphate was crushed almost brutally in its attempt to take down Persia and Rome, and almost three out of every Muslim was killed by the two powers in the three-way war that occurred. Muslims only managed to start colonizing Northern Africa and later infecting Iberia a few centuries later, and Iran itself wasn't "Islamized" until after the fall of the Sassanid Empire to the Mongols in 1200 B.C.

Not surprising. People seem to think that opposites attract in romance, no matter how false that may actually be.

Germany's broadcasting market was severely liberalized in March 2018, when the Liberal government split the German Television Authority/Deutsches Fernsehamt into several partitions and sold them off to the public. While private broadcasting firms were permitted before, the GBN/DFA controlled over 45% of the market and afforded the right to regulate other firms. Now, Germany has no mouthpiece apart from PSAs.

Nice map, comrade. But there is still a sea of grey. :/

Officially, the Chairperson's five-year term starts on 28 December (the Independence Day). However, they will be sworn into office on 31 January, leaving an entire month for the new administration to adjust itself and write its Five-Year Plan which will be the heart of the administration's working for the entirety of their term. 29 December to 30 January is officially known as "the gap".

The "First Gap" (29 Dec - 30 Jan 2008) has become a subject of study due to its intense concentration of political activities in the country (a.k.a. a ride wilder than rollercoaster). Although "Zitravia" had won the war against the Kozavian Empire, some remote parts of the country were trying to secede, either for their own independence or back to the Empire. One zone was successful in running back to join the empire by claiming historical and ethnic reasons. During this same time, the Workers' Party wrote its first Five-Year Plan alongside the draft of the Constitution with the help of non-members -- corporate executives, lawyers, political scientists, academics, religious leaders and military officers. What do you expect from one-month long convention filled with people who think they know better, trying to draft an important document that will be used nationally for many years to come? Debates -- lots of debates. Although the Workers' Party was seated as the leading (and only) party, it had to give in to many other interest groups to help draft it.

Meanwhile, the Workers' Party announced Kazimir I. Miroslavsky as its General-Secretary and Chairman of Zitravgrad despite half of the country being unsure who he was, while the other half was quite receptive of him (fortunately). Nonetheless, he was meant to act as a popular, revolutionary leader while the Party planned on telling him what to do. The new Chairman's speeches soon become broadcast on television, radio and internet, thanks to a prominent member of the Workers' Party convincing Miroslavsky, then a shy, quiet young ex-officer specialized in double-spying, stirring discord and intrigue more than inspiring people, to "say something to them so that they may know how you sound like". On his first televised speech, his leg was injured from falling off the stairs at the Duma pff.... He was advised to sit down and read a hastily-written speech co-written with another party member wearing a three-piece suit. For a few minutes, people who didn't know him would take him as a news reporter until he announced his name.

In a state of uncertainty, many ideological leaders would try to claim the revolution as their doings and rally citizens against the Workers' Party. Law enforcement and military received mixed orders and refused to mobilize until the Party issued "State Approval Bill" which would give the administration an absolute power in order to suppress further revolts and to enforce unification of nine Zitravian states, thus why we are called "the United Socialist States". Nationally, this bill brought order and solidarity under the state's monopoly on the use of force (ZKVD and the Armed Forces), but it was arguably the Party's biggest mistake to this date. At first, they had chosen Miroslavsky with an intention that he was a young leader they were able to control. But this bill was written in the way that everything required the Chairman's signature and handed the Party's power over to this man they planned to use. This bill came off at around the same time with the final draft of the Constitution. In short, the United Socialist States of Zitravgrad settled its official borders, reunited its nine states, had its constitution, saw many riots suppressed and got a brand-new totalitarian regime in about 34 days after struggling more than 11 months to secede The Kozavian Empire.
