While it is extremely common in most of the wastelands (and somewhat of a social norm in parts of it like the regions under The Legion's clutches), Slavery never took off in Boston. Apart from The Nuka-World Frontier's raiders, who at some point enslaved a bunch of traveling traders, and really rare bouts of your random ghoul or human slave, it's almost never been recorded in our history. Of course, there were groups of people who saw the treatment of the Synths by the Institute's hands as a form of slavery, but even that is debatable. It's not likely to say "There are no slaves in The Commonwealth", if only because there is no way to be sure about all of it, but it is seen as a reason for termination of his life if a slave owner shows up in almost any of the Commonwealth's settlements, be it under the Minutemen or non-aligned.

There is a bit of a misconception that the Chairman lives in the Kremlin. Officially, he is only present in the Kremlin Palace when he is working or when someone important is visiting. Outside of work, he lives in his own residence bought before he became the Chairman. He never stays overnight within the Kremlin walls unless there are works to do.

In his own words, he says that it is rather "self-contradictory" for a socialist leader to live in "a palace" and that he wants personal spaces for himself and his family. Quite a few ships are even made out of several wrecks that the Armada welded together. After a time in the Armada ships can change quite drastically as captains preferring different load outs, having to do some patch jobs, and integrating scavenged parts all happen to the ship. As a result almost of our enemies have any idea to expect when fighting one of our ships. Of course almost no one in the Armada is sure what another ship besides their own can do as well. And despite popular opinion, our ships do not run on the tears of the engineers who work on them.

Relations between Toraia and other nations often use human relationships as a metaphor. For instance, the Toraian-Haschirite alliance is depicted as a courtship between the two nations' personifications, Miss Toraia and Lord Haschiri.
On the other hand, nations that the government doesn't trust are depicted as creepy guys hitting on Miss Toraia and making her uncomfortable.
