Slavery is legal in Knessniet, but is a matter of religion, and not race. Whenever Knessniet goes to war, anyone captured is given a choice, convert or slavery. That is how we get new slaves, or was. We haven't done that since 1732. Now, the slaves come from children of slaves. A slave may be freed if they convert and are baptized, but it is the master's choice whether to allow the baptism or not. Most are allowed if they are thought to be sincere.
