One interesting thing about German cartridge manufacturing is that the maximum pressure of a cartridge doesn't stay the same, but rather increases as newer and more durable weapons are built and as better powder mixes are discovered. For instance, the German battle rifle round (and until 2004, the German infantry rifle round #1) - the venerable 8mm Mauser - started out in 1888 as the Patrone 88 with pressures under 40,000 Psi, then got its present form in 1903 with a Spitzer bullet and rifle pressure tolerance of up to 55,000 Psi; Today's military-grade 8mm ammunition is rated at 62,000 Psi. In effect, this means that it's dangerous to fire new ammunition out of old weapons in Germany, and therefore there is a whole market for down-loaded 'retro ammunition' which allows older weapons to still be used in a safe manner.

The Technocratic Council does have a Prime Directive to not interfere in primitive lifeforms' development but unlike the fictional Star Trek universe, there are exceptions:

While technically not a fact about our nation, but a fact about our universe as facts about our nation are hard to really come up with since we're just a buffer zone, the main region Germany won WW2 was the key capturing of the city of Stalingrad (now known as Rommel) which gave them access to the oil fields in the Caucasus, cutting off the Soviet Union's main oil supply, as well as an invasion from Japan from the East, blocking Stalin's chance to take soldiers from Siberia to stop the German invasion (as he did OTL).

Many important political decisions at the Alimerian Politburo were made by throwing the dice, which btw is a legitimate form of procedure embedded in the law. Such include:
