The Islands of Versilia are home to many creatures, the most notable being the Versilian macaque. The Versilian macaque is noted to be very friendly and calm around people, with many individual macaques being classified as domesticated.

That's nice... I have never seen a macaque in person, though.

Zitravgrad has been referred to as "the world's hospital" (but in a political term), due to their proposal to the League of Nations to make vaccination compulsory in all the member nations. Once the proposal was in use, they helped supplying GHCO (Global Healthcare Organization) with vaccine and other healthcare products. The profit from this got the nation back on its feet after the Independence War. This act is seen as profit-oriented rather than altruistic, but the general results receive international praises.

Good news for Santa?

You may be wondering why Anna Sabilline haven't tried to upsurge Crown Princess Lucy. The truth is she doesn't feel like she has to, with the pink years fresh in memory the council won't dare to fire her. With the royal guard (and thus also the police force) under her command she already helds most relative power. Lucy may be the one making the decrees but without the royal guard the judicial and executive force within Katsur will collapse. In addition she gets to interpret the laws and only the royal council or Lucy can tell otherwise.

Now back to the question, as it is right now. In the public consciousness when something goes right in Katsur it's the result of an effective royal guard. When something goes wrong it's Crown Princess Lucy's fault and the council has to bend backwards to appease to Anna Sabilline to convince her not to unsettle the political balance. In other words all negative publicity by default goes to Lucy an advantage she'd have to sacrifice to be Empress.

Katsur is going to war?

Please read the factbook, explanation of the flag can be found there as well. Protip, the flag was entirely Crown Princess Lucy's idea and was personally commissioned by her. There's also a travel guide for tourists!

That’s a shame. She should be helping the Empress become a better ruler than staying as a puppet master.
She’s dishonourable.

Her Majesty Akeldama's mansion is located a few kilometres from Yahanam, and is large and grandiose, with her home also being surrounded by a thick forest and even stretching into a mountain pass. Her home has everything she needs: storage, guest rooms, library, office, magic rooms, laboratories, armoury, smithery, alchemical room, etc. She also has an underground garage, pool, enchanting room, hot spring and even her own tiny bund (temple). Akeldama has a throne in her mansion, which she sits on when she's bored.
A large cave system exists underneath her estate. Many bats live down there.
Her home is always scented with the smell of herbs, plants, dew or anything of her desire.

Sounds like a nice home, if a bit isolated.

Even before the Treaty of Rome, Germany and Italy we're part of an economic group called the "Pact of Iron" where both former axis allies helped the other rebuild; signed in the late 40s it along with the Marshall plan were key factors that aided the two nations to recover from the war. Though detractors accused them of trying to make another Pact of Steel and of plotting behind the Allies' back. The treaty lasted into the 60s where it was replaced by the Treaty of Rome, which eventually led to the European Union.

So, like a preemptive ECSC exclusive to Germany and Italy. Interesting stuff, although I could not imagine it being a watershed in alternate history.

Never heard of them. But to each their own.

57% of Toraian emigrants work as shuttle/taxi drivers or IT techies in their new home nations, which leads to the stereotype that these are the only two jobs that Toraians are good at.

The German Siemens trains are so popular that at least some form of Siemens can be seen regularly in literally every country with a railroad going through it. Unsurprisingly, it is partly owned by the Kaiser.

Not a surprise if it is a major terminus.

The Regnbuehavn & Nattfjord Railway was the first railway in the nation to use steam locomotives instead of horses. It was built as a link between Queen Frøya's summer palace in Regnbuehavn and her main palace in Nattfjord. Today, it is part of the BSB (Blodriker State Railway) and sees regular passenger train service. But the leg from the station to Frøya's palace is still off limits.

Our Armed Forces is a very diverse one, composed of: Yemenis, Egyptians, Syrians, Iraqis, Jordanians, Libyans, Palestinians, and Lebanese Arabs. These men are united under one goal, that is to remove European colonialists, to unite the Arab world, and liberate their Arab brethren. The Army also employs Jews, Kurds, and other minorities.

In our world, most depictions of modern soldiers (both positive and negative) are with urban or woodland camo. Why? Well, because no Army is more famous and colossal than the German Army, and it's a European fighting force with next to no interventions in desertified or snowy countries.

Time to get a pick axe and head for them there hills

It is an army tradition to mark and graffiti on vehicles, and the officers actively encourage it, seeing it as good for morale. A veteran tank or artillery piece covered in tags and symbols is held in high regard as venerable.
