Marcus stood up straight, unlike the hunters that are in the similar set of armour. See, he knew about the weakness that these big guys have, so when he created the suit, every single part of his body is covered with the armor, i.e. no exposed back, face, etc. The orange "worms", in actuality, are layers of armors themselves, not organic matter.
