My agenda is very much that of the party's - responsible use of the environment while simultaneously developing the country through use of infrastructure. I also support a push for green energy. Fake news.

An article is posted on Breitbart claiming that the Fernãoense low-energy establishment hacks continue to decry its true journalism as fake news while ignoring the fake news of the mainstream media.

Former Vice President

Constituency: Prados Ocidentais
Political Ideology: Centrist populism

Family: Lourdes Tatiana "Lu" Abreu da Silva e Silva Goncalves, Wife, 30
Rosa Francisca Teixeira Silva Goncalves, Daughter, 5
Background: Roberto José Maria Teixeira Goncalves was born in 1985 in Montalvo to parents Henrique and Paola. He soon acquired the nickname "Beto" as a boy, and has gone by that ever since. He attended local public schools while working part time on the family farm alongside his three brothers (two older, one younger) and two sisters (both younger). After finishing his secondary education, Beto began farming full time, taking over a portion of his the family plot himself. Within a few years, he saved up enough money to attend school in Fortaleza, where he studied Agricultural Science. Due to the financial strain of attending university, Beto was forced to stop his studies after two years. However, Beto met his wife, Lu, while in Fortaleza. They were married in 2010, and their daughter, Rosa, was born two years later. Another child is on the way!

Beto founded the Coalisão de Trabalhadores e Agricultores (CTA) based on his own experiences as a hard working individual looking to move up in society but finding it difficult to do so. He was not immediately drawn to politics, but found a knack for it, particularly in his earnest delivery of policy and positions. He believes in a government that spends on its future, through investment in its people, but does not involve itself otherwise in their lives or spend on unnecessary things. Beto sees a bright future ahead for Fernão, now through the Popular Alliance formed from the combined CTA, Humanist Union, Forward Fernão, and like-minded independents.

Luen Veas - Communist Union Party
Image

Account Name: Eredion
Occupation: Senator

Party Position(s):
N/A

Positions in Government:
N/A

Constituency: N/A
Political Ideology: Communism, Maoism

Family: Single
Background: Luen was born as the son of Chinese immigrants who came to this country to support the socialist government before it was taken down in a brutal coup. They remained strong supporters of communism throughout their lives but never took action in the Civil War.

Luen on the other hand fought in the civil war, not exactly as a frontline soldier but rather as a motivator of the troops. He inspired them to continue their fight for their righteous cause no matter the cost. At this point in his life he decided that if peace ever were to come back to Fernão then he would be committed to shape the future Fernão in a political and less violent way and he would not mind if it were him to get into a frontline seat to watch and shape the future of Elizia.

He got elected into the Senate as a member of the Communist Union Party in one of their stronghold constituencies.
Although he believes in communism, he is no ideological hardliner and rather sees communism as the best method to run a state and a society.

Likes: Fernão, strong state, big government, power

Girish Sachar - Civic Union
Image

Account Name: Ferak
Occupation: Senator

Party Position(s):
Party Leader

Positions in Government:
Senator

Constituency: N/A
Political Ideology: Hindu Nationalism, economic centrism, pro-market, anti-Islam
Family:

  • Adya Loliyekar - Loving wife
  • Arnav Sachar - Eldest child
  • Balahadra Sachar - Youngest child

Background: Girish was born to a lower-middle class Hindu family, his father being a mechanic. He attended the local public school and was granted full merit scholarship to Fernão University where he studied civil engineering. After graduation, he worked for a short-time in his home district constructing infrastructure, but it wasn't long until the civil war broke out.

Girish quickly abandoned his old career and enlisted in the military-arm of the resistance force, actively fighting against the regime in which he believed discriminated against the ethnic Indian population. Although not a socialist himself, he fought against the white-majority government in order to ensure representation and autonomy for the ethnic Indian communities which had suffered severely under the foreign backed dictatorship.

After the war was finished, Girish had nurtured a militaristic reputation and developed a bleak outlook on politics. He supported the Indian-led intervention, and maintained strong ties with the government officials responsible for it. As soon as the civil war ended, he ran for office and was elected from his home district in with an overwhelmingy majority.
Faith: Hindu
Likes: Hinduism, military, food
Dislikes: Islam, Christianity, Communism, Socialism

Any Questions from the Public to be answered?
  • Senator Sachar, have you considered joining any parties now that you are in office? Furthermore, seeing as you are in office, what do you believe should be present within the Fernãoan Constitution?
Thank you for the question. As it stand today, there are no parties that stress representation and autonomy for the Indian and Hindu peoples. Ethnic violence with the Arab communities in the past, as well government-sanctioned discrimination from the previous regime have taught me harsh lessons in life about the need for ethnic cohesion. I plan on starting my own party and encouraging all those with similar sympathies to join and ensure the prosperity of the Indian and Hindu peoples.

As for the Constitution, I hope to see strong protections for ethnic minorities, as well as guaranteed autonomy. The government repression of non-whites is a lesson that should not long be forgotten. I also hope the legislature possesses strong powers to prevent an overbearing executive that lead to the disaster in the first place.

  • How would this 'guaranteed autonomy' look like, and wouldn't that deepen ethnic divides in Fernão rather than bring them closer together?
I would ask that Indians have ensured parliamentary representation, particularly in the legislature, to ensure there is always strong opposition to racist measures being passed through. Whether or not this will increase ethnic tensions, I don't think so. We already have a party calling for the expulsion of Indians and separation for Arabs. It's clear it is not the Hindus who are driving ethnic conflict in this country; we started no wars, do not advocate for separation from the greater nation, and simply ask for limited home rule so that local Hindu matters can be handled locally.

  • Moving on, the Provisional Government Act has caused quite a stir in the Senate. Do you believe it is necessary for the country to move forward, or is it needlessly impractical, as one Senator has stated?
I believe an immediate stabilization is necessary to establish the government. It may not, as of today, include everything I want, but I am willing to support the bill assuming the prospect of further government legislation. It merely establishes the basic framework of government, and the details can be hammered out later. Without the bill we cannot have a government with any real legitimacy.

"Thank you for the question.

I also hope the legislature possesses strong powers to prevent an overbearing executive that lead to the disaster in the first place."

"How would this 'guaranteed autonomy' look like, and wouldn't that deepen ethnic divides in Fernão rather than bring them closer together?"
