Ethnic violence with the Arab communities in the past, as well government-sanctioned discrimination from the previous regime have taught me harsh lessons in life about the need for ethnic cohesion. I plan on starting my own party and encouraging all those with similar sympathies to join and ensure the prosperity of the Indian and Hindu peoples.
As for the Constitution, I hope to see strong protections for ethnic minorities, as well as guaranteed autonomy. The government repression of non-whites is a lesson that should not long be forgotten. I also hope the legislature possesses strong powers to prevent an overbearing executive that lead to the disaster in the first place."
"How would this 'guaranteed autonomy' look like, and wouldn't that deepen ethnic divides in Fernão rather than bring them closer together?"
"I would ask that Indians have ensured parliamentary representation, particularly in the legislature, to ensure there is always strong opposition to racist measures being passed through. Whether or not this will increase ethnic tensions, I don't think so. We already have a party calling for the expulsion of Indians and separation for Arabs. It's clear it is not the Hindus who are driving ethnic conflict in this country; we started no wars, do not advocate for separation from the greater nation, and simply ask for limited home rule so that local Hindu matters can be handled locally."
