"A very good question, sir. I will do what I can throughout my time in the legislature to improve our war-damaged infrastructure. I will propose a large amount of government funds be diverted into the rebuilding and revitalising of our nation's infrastructure, which I would like to see paid for by a progressive income tax. I am of the economic belief that investing in the infrastructure will spur economic development, and therefore investing heavily in the infrastructure would be a vital step to giving Fernão a post-civil war recovery." António Ventrua responded.

I am personally a fan of a system where for the first 24 weeks, an abortion is legal with the consent of a medical professional. However, I think we should also try to reduce the amount of unwanted pregnancies in the first place by providing our population with access to free birth control."

"If that is what you were asking, I am a supporter of the collective bargaining rights of workers. As a social democrat, I believe it is fundamental to a capitalist society that workers have the rights to organise themselves into trade unions and collectively bargain their workers for better pay. I support the Scandinavian model of social corporatism, where the labour unions and the employers bargain together with the government to agree on the standards for pay and conditions for the workers. However, I believe in a market-based economy where it is easy for a citizen to set up a business and be successful, no matter their socioeconomic background, and wish to create the business-friendly environment seen in the Scandinavian countries along side their large, effective welfare states, the creation of which I would like to see within Fernão.

Indira had spent the last several days crisscrossing the country, campaigning up and down the ballot for Civic Union and CTA candidates specifically, as well as other electoral partners. She had slept little, consumed voluminous amounts of tea, and wanted to get back out onto the stump. Her husband had convinced her to return to Chitrakoot to make sure her constituents received attention from the newly christened national politician in Indira.

She had a few rallies planned for the day after she spent the earlier half of the day resting and socializing with family, her brother and sisters would be out stumping with her today, she looked forward to it. She had been dozing at her desk when some noise startled her awake.

Her eyes fell upon a folder marked 'Polls', bolded and red. She opened the folder, and laid her eyes upon polling reports from her constituency.

Constituency of Chitrakoot - First Preferences

Indira Tamboli, Civic Union - 50%
Ayra Misra, Red-Green Alliance - 32%
Praveena Sharma, Fernão Progress Party - 6%
Seema Nibhanupudi, Workers' Struggle - 6%
Túlio Gabriel Souza, Pro Patria - 6%

Indira nodded, content with her 18 point lead in first preferences.

Having been able to consolidate most of the right wing and center, she expected a higher level of support on first preferences alone, but polls were known to be wrong.

She put the sheet back into the folder and back onto her desk. Taking a deep breathe, she got up and exited the room, ready to stump again.

Senator Johnson spent the past two days campaigning in his constituency. Holding rallies and meetings, answering questions from voters and debating against his opponents. He also spent this time to rally support for the RGA candidate for president, Vishal Vig.

Senator RItesh Bell has been campaigning all over the country. He held a massive "Rally for Progress," which was, according to him, "A rally for the RGA, the FPP, and all those who believe in equality and justice."

The rally was also for supporters of Vishal VIg.

Bell has also been meeting with and answering questions from people all over the country. [Ask questions from character of citizens, pls]

Press Release from RGA Education and Science Spokesperson Ritesh Bell:

It is the intent of the RGA to establish a free, public education system for all youth ages 6-16 in Fernao. Every child in Fernao deserves a quality education, and we will give that to them.

Our plan is to create a system where all youth ages 6-16 are required to attend school. There will be many different schools all over the nation, so that every child has access to a school. The system will not discriminate against any student or any family, and will educate every and strengthen every child no matter what, and empower them to reach their full potential. There will be basic curriculum standards similar to the Common Core program in the United States, so that students will be properly educated for the workforce.

Once again, the RGA will create a system where every child in this nation receives a quality education, because that is what they deserve.

"Thank you for the question. First of all, we cannot end up with a US Donald Trump, denying climate change. It exists, and it's an urgent threat. My plan is to sign the Paris climate deal, limit carbon emissions from businesses, and support and promote clean energy (solar power, wind power, etc.)."

Vishal Vig embarks on a great nationwide campaign, observers estimating he must be sleeping less than 2 hours at a time as he marches along a continuous political warpath across the country. Vig makes stops to support numerous RGA candidates in their individual electorates, lending his vital name recognition to their campaigns. He also makes sure to throw in a good word here and there for associated parties, particularly the FPP. Vig makes several speeches and visits to his own electorate but his primary focus is on his national campaign for the presidency. Speaking in the capital, Vig smiles as he waves out to the crowd in front of him.

Benjamin Ramon sat at his desk in the constituency office. His office was located in the quiet, sleepy, residential portion of New Hendon, one where damage from the war was even more rare than it was elsewhere around town. The town itself had been largely under the stable control of a local militia, although some of the surrounding villages had seen activity by Communists in early phases. He stretched out and relaxed, looking at private polling figures he was about 10% ahead on the first round over the Civic Union candidate, which good. A knock came on the door, one of his staffers entered and dropped a newspaper on his desk. It was the local Gazette and the headline read "CU Candidate Patricia Woof prepares to go negative". Underneath was an interview with her in which she cast aspersions about whether a bundle of potato and newspaper clippings really was able to fully represent local constituents. She also attacked Rabon for potentially containing some non-Kosher ingredients, as well as attacking his record during the war. Benjamin would have to wait and see if these attacks made any headway, he'd built a fairly solid base in the constituency, not only with those on low-pay and poor housing in the more dilapidated parts of town, but also with the sizable community of small businesses and their owners. However, he was made of potatoes, and that is often a barrier in politics, even in more enlightened times.

Civic Union Association of Cordogena,
Cordogena, Fortaleza

We're going to get Fernão on track. It's time for us to shine, and the Civic Union is the only party who can steer us into prosperity. I support Priscilla Krisnan as President because I believe in party unity and for the good of our nation. Fernão needs a strong right wing government to focus on its future. As the people of Fernao, we need a strong united government to focus on the economics of our nation, to focus on giving jobs to every single one of you, and to protect you from the evil of the world. The Civic Union is the only party who can do this, and after talking with the woman herself numerous times, I comfortably give the next President of the Federal Republic Priscilla Krisnan a glowing endorsement.

Priscilla will make change. The Civic Union agenda will make everyone's life better. Simple taxation to keep you at ends meet, investing in the education of our future generations and investing in the technology and infrastructure to make our nation prosper. We'll get the job done. I'm asking you to go out to Cordogena's polls and vote yes to the Civic Union's agenda, to vote for Krisnan for President and myself as your Senator.

BREAKING NEWS: MADAME PRESIDENT?

The Fortalezan Times is projecting (not unlike Costa Fierro) that Priscilla Krishnan of the Civic Union will win the Presidential Elections of March 2017,
with 52.8% of the vote to 47.2% for Vishal Vig of the Red-Green Alliance as determined by exit polls taken across the nation.

More on this story as it develops.

In East Amadora, Senator Viel had been campaigning now for weeks, with little sleep between fundraisers, interviews, stump speeches and meeting his constituents. Stopping to rest in a coffee shop down where he used to live, he glanced over at the newspaper, Amadora Today, and saw that an opinion poll had been conducted:

Poll — Senator for East Amadora

Alexios Viel, RGA - 57%
Anish Sodhi, CU - 21%
Nikoli Echeverría, FPP - 12%
Rhea Kapoor, PP - 5%
Other - 5%

Nodding to himself, he grabbed his bagel and left the shop, leaving a few coins in the tip jar before heading out for his next speech.
