Reports of civil disobedience protests in Western Sarkar followed announcements of the arrest and resignation from the Fernão Senate of the popular polemicist Null Bella. A heavily armed crowd estimated at ten to twelve thousand in number quickly laid seige to and occupied several federal government buildings, including the Western Sarkar Police Forces headquarters, bolstering their strength with the police headquarters' arsenal. Roads and highways leading into the highly libertarian-minded province have been blocked with overturned cars and human chains, as well as telecommunication lines to the rest of Fernão have been severed and fiber optic hubs set on fire. Several de facto "declarations of independence" have been forwarded by a disorganized cluster of various Western Sarkari seperatist and rebel groups, most of them citing the lack of a coherent national constitution and bill of attainder style jurisprudence with a draconian legal code as justification for secession, as well as calls for the dissolution of the federal police and federal government. Several hundred federal government workers are being held hostage, with hostage takers demanding President Vienna Eliot be apprehended and executed on national television. The seperatists announce that a hostage will be executed every hour until Eliot is executed on television.

Nulla Bellum, you are hereby WARNED for godmodding. As this is your second warning, the next infraction will result in a suspension.

The issue here is exaggerated control, e.g. a ten to twelve thousand strong mob. The rough principle of a violent separatist group is fine, RP-wise, but the issue is scale.

The post is declared retconned.

Note: The above decision is the sole opinion of the NSG Senate Administration and is only relevant within the threads of this roleplay. The decision does not necessarily reflect the opinions of NS Moderation.

OOC: Correction, it's actually 1.2% - about a hundred times larger than I think you realized.
It's sad to see you leave. Hopefully you reconsider and will be careful to try and use only one player,
but I can understand your not wanting to remain, I suppose. I'll have my character keep your seat warm for you,
by resting a box of doughnuts on it. :)
Also, sorry about my inactivity. I sorta have been focusing on GI lately. :P

Don't try to do anything other than have your character hand out doughnuts. It's neon fucking obvious you won't be allowed to. Want to add to the setting with a news story? Nope, sorry. Want approved news stories of uprisings and natural disasters to have game effects on the economy or political opinions or simulate international reactions? Nope. You are as misinformed as I was that this game is actually interesting.

Yeah, that's not godmodding at all. Just ignore any player posts that would cause you to remember this is supposed to be an RP. I'm just another player that has abandoned this shitshow. I get the feeling I'm not the first. When you run out of players to bully, bully yourself.

Sorry to see you leave. I understand you're not pleased with the decision, but we have rules here. Sure, we could have everyone raising tens of thousands of violent protestors on a regular basis, but that's not what we want. I'm sure there are plenty of RPs out there that can better suit your wishes.

Fortaleza Scrap Works, 1640 Lakar Street
Samudra Parish, Fortaleza

While the arrest of the violent Senator had been an immediate victory for the striking workers, municipal arbitration with the factory bosses had yet to come, and while the president's office had released it's statement of support for workers rights, the president's agenda wouldn't be moving to Labour Protection for weeks yet. So for now, the strike continued. The message of solidarity carried on however, as the Students' Union of the University of Fortaleza walked into the factory property this morning with much needed supplies. Fresh fruit and vegetables, water, sanitary products.

Vishal Vig, by now seen as the political spokesperson for the striking laborers, talked with several media interviewers outside the factory. In the background, posters had been plastered around the factory with messages such as Nutan Ashtikar didn't die for nothing. "Senator Vig, when will this protest end?" Vig cleared his throat and pointed behind him. "Nutan Ashtikar died in that factory because of criminal levels of negligence. When the people responsible are found guilty of their crimes, and when workers can go back to work knowing that that kind of risk will never come back again, the protest will end."

Fortaleza Scrap Works, 1640 Lakar Street
Samudra Parish, Fortaleza

A car pulled up on the Fortaleza Scrap Works. Two bulky men in suit and tie got out and opened the door. Out walked Angelina Acosta, wearing a caramel-white Max Mora coat and a Tory Burch purse. She went for the lines of protestors,

"Goodmorning, my name is Angelina Maria Acosta, Senator and Deputy Parliamentary Leader of the Civic Union. Today, I stand with the men and women of this facility to say that Nutan Ashtikar didn't die for nothing. I came here to say that I stand firmly and resolutely with his family against the memory of an uncivil senator who defamed the memory of a man who died honourably. And while our nation's Senate bickers and is in deadlock over its rules, the common people of Fernão are being spat on and left for nothing. Enough is enough!

I stand with every man and woman who fights today for justice. Remember, justice delayed is justice denied. I resolve to stand amongst you until the people responsible for this poor man's death are brought to justice, that the conditions for the men and women here are improved, and that this nation stops ignoring the common people! I stand with Senator Vig, a patriot, and a friend, proudly today as I protest with you."

Suddenly and without warning, Acosta handed her purse over to an aid and her coat to another and walked towards the line of protesters. She found a spot near the front where a group of people held a sign saying Nutan Ashtikar didn't die for nothing. She stepped into crowd as she took hold of the sign.

Nutan Ashtikar didn't die for nothing! She repeated Nutan Ashtikar didn't die for nothing!

"This elevator is taking forever."

William Walker taps his foot impatiently.

A man walks into the elevator.

"Hey, how'd you get in here if the elevator's moving?"

The man looks at William strangely, and says,
"I'm just the repair guy. You do realize this elevator hasn't functioned for a couple of days, now, right?"

William Walker walks out shamefully.

The MNP is sad to announce that after a long and hard-fought battle with a brain tumor, MNP Deputy Leader Winston Jamison passed away last night. Please keep his friends and family in your prayers.

Ana Ernst wins her election in the Central Ma'abaran constituency of Korbat by a landslide. The results are as follows:
Ana Ernst, Secretary of Community Affairs and Leader of the MNP: 73%
Jamie Sarpan, Ma'abaran RGA: 15%
Harper Smith, Popular Alliance: 9%
Asaad Rahman, Arab Union: 3%
The Arab Union is a party of Arabs and Muslims who are socially conservative but economically leftist.

The MNP did not win any other Senate seats in Ma'abara. According to a source within the MNP, the party has broad support but just couldn't get candidates to stand for election in the other constituencies.

The Ma'abaran gubernatorial election was also held, with MNP candidate Reggie Walker winning the election. The results are as follows:
Reggie Walker, MNP: 54%
Zeke Maddox, Leader of Ma'abaran RGA: 29%
Beau Rosenstein, Leader of Ma'abaran PA: 10%
Joe Harlan, Civic Union: 7%

"Will! What are you doing here?"
Jay Walker looks up at his brother.

"I needed a break from doing absolutely nothing in the senate."

"Is there something wrong?"

"I don't know. It just seems like there's so much destruction and chaos,
and all I do is deliver the doughnuts."

"You'd get something done if you stopped running as a darn independent, you know."

"That doesn't exactly work if I don't agree with political parties in the first place."

Jay sighs.
"Why's your car in here with you?"

"Oh, I couldn't find a parking space so I just sorta drove it in here."

William gestures to a hole in the wall.

"Look, Will, I'm busy. If you haven't noticed, I need to pay for things like wall repairs.
Instead of complaining about not doing something, start doing something!"

"Well, I do bring doughnuts."

"See? That's good enough."

"No, I really should be bringing cupcakes along too now."

"Alright, then bring cupcakes!"

"It's not just that. Senator Bella left office, I don't even know if the tsunami situation's really been handled,
and there are all of these policies that seem to go beyond my head. Maybe entering politics wasn't the best idea, after all."

"Please, that's crazy talk! Hoohoo! I need you, the world needs you. Fernão could even use you."

"What about Luke?"

"No, not Luke. Never include Luke. I don't care what he's doing, but this 'saving the world' thing is just ridiculous."

A grin appears on William's face.
"Thank you, Jay."

He then continues, "Oh, and uh, Jay? Mind if I sleep here for a few nights?"

"This is my office! What for?"

"My house may or may not have burned down due to the riots in Fernão."

"What?"

"Yeah. Also, mind if I borrow a couple thousand dollars so I can afford a better place?"

"This is why reporters accuse me of bribing you."

OOC: This is basically me hinting that I'll probably remain a relatively low-activity member.

I'm not leaving, though. Just to clarify, I probably just won't actually be doing very much.

Also, sorry about that, MNP. :(
