BREAKING NEWS: Civic Union Senator campaigns for non-existent seat
Alexander Gouda, Fernão News Network | May 15 2017

Image
Singh being an idiot

- (Fortaleza, Fernão) Amman Singh, a Senator and a member of the Civic Union, has attracted considerable attention by campaigning for a seat that does not exist. The Senator has been campaigning for the seat of "Fortaleza-Samudra". Although Singh does indeed currently hold said seat, it was eliminated during redistricting.

FNN political commentator David Books had this to say, "Well Fortaleza-Samudra had been a district since the days of the old regime. Samudra has historically been much more wealthy and much more conservative than the rest of Fortaleza. When the new government decided to decrease the amount of geographic seats, Fortaleza-Samudra was one of the districts to go. It was absorbed into the FD-4/Fortaleza AL constituency, which is much more of an even playing ground politically, and includes some of the poorest areas in Fernão. Many Samudra citizens have protested against this, and it appears that Mr. Sangh has refused to accept the redistricting as a result."

Due to Singh's refusal to register or campaign for FD-4/Fortaleza AL, the Civic Union has nominated Viliam Zeintek for the new seat. Zeintek is currently locked in a tight race with David Kelth of the Red-Green Alliance. Despite his antics, Singh is expected to receive a list seat after the election.

Opinion: The Third Way - None Of The Above | David Books
David Books, Fernão News Network | May 15 2017

The two candidates demonstrate their incompetence and lack of integrity

Last election I encouraged you, my readers, to cast a vote for Priscilla Krishnan of the Civic Union. I had examined both candidates' platforms, policies, and promises. I was confident in my belief that a President Krishnan was the best path forward for Fernão. Only a short period later, I am still just as confident in my endorsement as I was then. However, this time I endorse neither candidate. Not Priscilla Krishnan of the Civic Union. Not Jayesh Gadhavi of the Red-Green Alliance. Vote for None Of The Above.

How did I arrive at this conclusion, you may ask. After my high praise for Krishnan last election it may seem strange to see me condemning her along with the socialists. But much has changed since last election. The Priscilla Krishnan I endorsed was a proud centrist. She was not among the reactionaries on the right of the Civic Union, nor did she pretend to be. She embraced neither the right nor the left. I am disappointed to say that this is no longer the case. In order to win the primary against the repugnant right-wing radical Emmanuel Carvallo, Mrs. Krishnan slid to the right so much that I almost expected her to criss-cross and cha-cha real smooth.

With the Civic Union and Priscilla Krishnan's hard shift to the right, one might think to look at Jayesh Gadhavi of the Red-Green Alliance. However, not only does Gadhavi hail from the failed Vig Administration, but both he and his running mate come from the left-wing of the RGA. Socialism has brought many countries to their knees, and I will not let the same fate descend upon Fernão.

With no palatable candidates on the ballot this time around, I encourage you to either spoil your ballot or to write-in a candidate of your choosing. Who should you write-in? That's not for me to decide, but I certainly wouldn't mind being president. Just saying.

Another Rally of Viliam Zeintek
Constituency FD-4

Today Zeintek decide to hold another rally as a "counter-offensive" against the rumours fabricated by the RGA and also to more talk about his policies.

Zeintek waves to the crowd of his supporters.

"I am really joyful by your presence here. I think it is time to talk about my political beliefs and tenats I fight for.

First off, the RGA says that the CU is diehard flat income tax supporters party. Well, I can not speak for the entire party, but I support progressive taxation. On the other hand, unlike RGA members, I don't want progressive taxation created only to tax-rich more. I want a progressive tax to make the most in need pay less. I am even for no taxation at all for people in extreme poverty and those without a housing. Another false information is that the CU is the party of privileged. If I remember correctly I was born into a low-income family. Do you think I am for free market because I have some sort of privileges? No, I am in CU because I don't want our economy and thus our lives controlled by few bureaucrats or few corporate magnates backed by socialists.

Also, I am for natural conservation and I think man members of CU too! But we don't think that over-regulation will help our cause. As one very wise man said about communism: "You can't make people love each other by aiming guns at them". If we as a nation wants to ever achieve anything, it must be done through co-operation, encouragement and voluntary exchange of goods and services. Not through hundreds of laws, guidelines, restrictions and penalties.

We have to encourage our people to co-operate not impose co-operation by-laws and harsh restrictions.

The Civic Union is not about privilege. The Civic Union is not about capitalism. The Civic Union is not about anti-socialism. The Civic Union is not about conservative ideology. The Civic Union is about responsibility, responsible people and responsible government! The Civic Union is about a government that serves his people, not about the people that must serve their government! Because responsible government not only defends the people against criminals and enemy nations, most importantly it defends people against the government itself. It defends them against over-bureaucratization and weird restrictions that do not help anyone."

Campaign Rally for Draven Aldean near the suburbs

Image

It was a large, onsuing crowd on a hot day. Supporters cheering on Draven Aldean as he is introduced by his wife, Charina.

"My husband is a great man and a great Senator. Here he is, Draven Aldean!"

Image

"Hello everybody, thank you for coming out today. Now, let's get real. You don't have a lot of money and the burden of taxes are killing you. It's hard to find a good job because positions are filling up and businesses can't afford any more employees. You can't afford the things you want or even need because money is tight. Why should you have to go through that? Why isn't the government doing anything? I'll tell you why. It's because they don't care. And my opponent doesn't care. He'll try to create his "progressive" tax plan that is supposed to make things "fair" when in reality, it's stealing your money and killing you. That's why with tax cuts and a pro business environment, we can bring wealth back the our constituency, our state!"

The crowd cheers their applause.

"Thank you for coming out here. I'll be taking questions later in the day. Thank you!

Lyons on the Prowl
Leonard Braun, Fernão News Network | May 15 2017

Image
David Lyons discusses difference between RGA and CU tax plans at town hall in Fortaleza synagogue

David Lyons might not seem very imposing on first glance, but don’t let that fool you: he just might be a campaigning machine. He has spent the past week working his way through Fernão, campaigning for RGA candidates with a schedule that would leave a lesser man weak in the knees. Hosting fifteen town hall events and participating in thirty joint appearances with candidates for local and federal offices, you wouldn’t be wrong to wonder when he has time to sleep. Turns out, it is on the road from one constituency to the next.

“I am gaining a new appreciation for sedans,” joked Lyons when he had time for an interview between events. “They’re a lot easier to sleep in the back of than a jeep or a pick-up.” He would have the experience to know. Lyons has spent the past week being transported around the cities and countryside of Fernão by volunteers with the various campaigns.

“There are a lot of amazing volunteers all over the country,” says Lyons. “We spent a few weeks about a month ago reaching out to them in order to figure out how to make this hectic schedule we came up with work. A family in southern Sarkar offered to host me for the night and one of my staffers joked that it might be more helpful for them to load me in the back of the family car and drive me to the next city. Before the staffer knew it their son offered to do just that and that’s kind of where the whole idea came from. After that, we kind of just started asking volunteers if they could help us get me from event to event and there are a lot of people who have been willing to help.”

He’s already appeared with or on behalf of a host of Red-Green backed candidates, including Shim Seo-yeon, Raghav Kshatriya, Ritesh Bell, Aminah Hadi and David Kelth, and the types of events have been as varied as his modes of transportation. “There was a breakfast event, I remember, at the house of a rabbi in New Faro. I was talking with people about Red-Green welfare policies while we were eating these breakfast sandwiches. They were made with a bagel with a fried egg and lox. I go to take a bite of my sandwich except the yolk wasn’t hard, and all of sudden I just have yellow all over my shirt. I look down and everyone is just kind of quiet for a moment and I say ‘well, at least it’s not on my face,’ and after that we all had a good laugh at my expense the event kept going.”

The main focus Lyons’ campaigning has been Fernão’s extensive Jewish community, one that has for the most part backed left-wing parties like the Red-Green Alliance since the restoration of democratic rule in Fernão. “Turn out,” Lyons responded when asked why he was pushing so hard on a demographic the Red-Green’s are already expected to win handedly. “It’s just not enough for people to support you. They need to come out and vote as well and that is the main thrust of what we’re doing. Turning out our supporters.”

Still, Jews are far from the only ones Lyons has been reaching out to. He’s spoken at two Hindu temples, a mosque and the Fortaleza Islamic Center.

The Islamic Center was probably one of the hardest events to get through. There was definately a lot of anger in the room over my vote on the Foreign Recognition Act. Thinking about it now, there probably was some as well at the mosque but the people were a lot more reluctant to be as in my face about it. The Islamic Center event had originally been scheduled as a discussion on worker rights but almost immediately people tossed that topic aside and all they wanted to talk about was the Foreign Recognition Act. So, I pitched my prepared topic and talked with them about Israel and Palestine and my vision for how to move forward.

“It really is one of the hardest topics in the world to discuss. There’s this sort of tunnel vision that people often get when it comes to the conflict. You’re either with me or you’re against me. You’re on our side or you’re on their side and there’s a lot of times where nuanced views get chided or greeted as just arguments from the other side. Despite that, we were able to talk about it and once people had a chance to vent their frustrations we started get more into the history of the conflict and the issues both Israelis and Palestinians had in the peace process. I think we had some good dialogue and now there are more people out there with a better idea of how each side views their portion of the conflict.”

The road has been long, but Lyons is still going strong. “I’m planning to keep going until the last polling station closes. I’ve got events planned with John Smith, Alexios Viel, Bill Jackson and Edmund Clarke, and another one with Shim Seo-yeon back in Maabara.” Like we said, he might just be a campaigning machine.

BREAKING NEWS: Rachel Kamassi campaigns for RGA-endorsed candidates
Alexander Gouda, Fernão News Network | May 16 2017

Image
Kamassi at a rally in Fortaleza

- (Fortaleza, Fernão) Rachel Kamassi, the wife of Minority Leader David Bloom, is campaigning for RGA-endorsed candidates across Fernão. Kamassi, who uses her maiden name, is arguably better known than her husband thanks to her career as a broadcast journalist for the Cardeira Reporter, which focuses primarily on human interest and entertainment stories.

Born in Kentang, Elizia, Kamassi moved to Fernão in her youth, primarily to avoid the anti-semitism the family had encountered there. In Fernão, they found a much larger Jewish community and a more tolerant home. Kamassi became the first in her family to go to university when she graduated from the University of Cardeira with a degree in journalism. She started out covering the Fernoan Civil War, before meeting future husband and Senator David Bloom, who was fighting in the war at the time. For several years, Kamassi and Bloom lived a chaotic life, traveling between countries such as Israel, America, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, with David working as a political adviser, and Kamassi as a reporter. It was during this period that she shifted from current events to human interest stories and the like. After returning to Fernão permanently in 2010, Bloom became involved in the resistance movement once more, while Kamassi got her current job at the Cardeira Reporter. Today, Rachel Kamassi and David Bloom live in Miliband, Fernão with their two children and dog.

Kamassi has made a name for herself as one of the most politically active and vocal spouses of the nation's political leaders. She has so far stumped for Bill Jackson, David Kelth, Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz, and Alexios Veil, though she plans to additionally campaign for Ritesh Bell, Edmund Clarke, and, obviously, David Bloom.

Streets of FD-4

The staffers put up "Vote for Zeintek is vote for responsible goverment!" posters everywhere

Zientek also created a video ad that will be shown right before Youtube videos:

"Dear citizens,

If we as a nation are planning to achieve something it can not be done through iron fist of government. We have to acknowledge that ultra-strict labour laws will not prevent poverty, that ultra-strict environmental regulation will not effectively fight aginst the pollution.

Only by encouragement through voluntary means, we can create tomorrow. By encouraging companies to hire more people through tax incentives we can create the society with low unemployment. And by having low taxation, those companies will not be bleeding dry under huge tax burden, so they will have more money to pay their workers.

And again, by encouraging the companies and citizens to be more ecological through tax incentive, we can create a more ecological country. You see, just because the Civic Union does not have word green in its name, does not mean we hate nature.

The fate of this nation is in your hands.

Fernão Poll Analysis

Undecideds
Some races have high numbers of undecided voters. In order from greatest to least:
SA-1 — 18.83%
FD-1 — 10.33%
FD-3 — 9.00%
NG-2 — 8.50%
FD-2 — 8.00%
NG-1 — 7.33%
FD-4 — 7.00%
SA-2 — 3.50%
FD-5 — 3.17%
MA-AL — 1.33%

Swing Voters
Some voters only lean toward a candidate, and may switch sides, not vote, or become more likely to vote for their current candidate. While quantifying these voters is impossible, we can suggest the following candidates have a large part of their base in swing voters:
Ferrerira (FD-2)
Viel (FD-2)
Zeintek (FD-4)
Brzęczyszczykiewicz (FD-5)
Seo-Yeon (MA-AL)

Races to Watch
Combining swing voters and undecided voters, we can determine a few races that are worth keeping an eye on. The SA-1 race is likely to be extremely volatile, based on the high number of undecideds. The same can be said for FD-1. Meanwhile, the high number of swing voters in FD-2 renders its turnout unpredictable, and with so few firmly decided voters for Seo-Yeon, the Maabara At-Large race might also take some unexpected turns.

Viel Talks Healthcare, Government Transparency at Town Hall
Nuñes Fox, Fernão News Network | May 16, 2017

Image
Viel giving an interview to a local radio station.

- (Portimão, Ferdinand, Fernão) Alexios Viel has been in the headlines for quite some time: from winning the seat of RGA Party Administrator to being attacked in an unusual manner by The Week, his firebrand demeanor has gotten him into trouble with both the right and his own party. However, stepping away from the frenzies, what is he actually saying and doing? Well, we got an inside look when he participated in a town hall here in Portimão.

Televised across the constituency and state, Viel very rarely mentioned either the Civic Union or his opponent, CTA Senator Michael Ferreira. Our FNN political correspondent Jason Miranda noted that "during [Viel's] town hall, it became clear that he was going a significantly different direction than what we've seen from him, especially during the RGA Party Administrator race, where he was accused of misogyny by Secretary Seo-yeon and many RGA Senators." Let's take a look at this town hall of his.

Speaking to a diverse collection of residents in a community centre, Viel stressed the importance of a clear, transparent government. "Transparency is the one thing that even fully-developed, first world democracies struggle with. Around the world, many countries that used to be models from rising stars in terms of government transparency and openness have now fallen from grace. There are people in these governments that no longer care about how public money, the money that you provide through your daily jobs, is used." He pointed to a few people in the audience at random, before continuing. "It's simply so easy for governments to just not care about their citizens and close themselves off. Electoral integrity can be questioned, like we've seen in Venezuela and Turkey, or rigged to the government's favour, like we saw with Hong Kong and China. On the topic of public funds, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's wife is currently under investigation, and may be indicted for, misuse of public funds to pay for her own personal expenses. If you want more examples, look no further than the United States; however, be sure to do it before the president puts our country on the travel ban for no reason." The audience laughed, and he himself chuckled before taking a sip of water.

"This issue is present in all countries, no matter the socioeconomic status. That is why I introduced the 'Government Transparency Act' — to allow for the people of Fernão to know what their government is doing. The people have a right to know, and I intend to ensure that their right is protected by our laws."

After a quick intermission, Viel talked about his vision for the country's healthcare. "Medical costs around the world have been increasing at an alarming rate. In the United States, people can be expected to fork over nearly $80,000, as was seen in one case, just to breath after suffering a stroke. People get trapped under oceans of debt, their fees haunting them until their death. I remember having to go to the doctor when my wife had to get surgery for her leg — the bill came out to around $20,000, of which I was responsible for. This was just after I'd been elected for the first time, and I'd only received a few paychecks from the government to cover my personal expenses. I had to borrow from friends and family just to make sure my wife's medical bills were taken care of. It was a truly awful situation, and well up with tears whenever I think about the thousands across Fernão who are not receiving a steady source of income, and may be liable for far greater expenses, many that probably meant the difference between life and death."

"However, all is not lost. Let's turn our gaze towards Norway. Their healthcare is world-class: everyone is covered under the government single-payer plan, they pay little to no copays, and due to the government's high investment in the system, the quality of care is the envy of many in the European region. Think the waiting lists may be too long? No problem — there's always the option to opt-out and receive care in foreign countries."

"This is what we in Fernão need to look towards when crafting our own form of healthcare. For the sake of our elderly parents, ourselves, our children and all in between, this country must adopt single-payer universal healthcare. My party stands firmly behind this policy, and we are prepared to make sure that no one gets buried in debt just to breath."

Viel's remarks come on the heels of an increasing presence in the FD-2 Constituency, with many RGA members coming to stump for him, and Viel himself giving twelve speeches and two town halls in just one week. Plans for him to stump for RGA Senators like Bill Jackson and Ritesh Bell have also been presented by his campaign organisation. Viel was also recently spotted at a textiles factory, where he spoke with both union leaders and the actual workers once they were off their shift. An interviewed worker said, "Yeah, Viel came about five when we were about to leave. He was smiling and he was shaking hands with people." The worker chuckled. "He talked to us about worker's rights and stuff, and he seemed to really be focused on making sure that we were able to unionise and that we weren't subject to, as he put it, 'unfair and inhumane' working conditions."

More coverage regarding this interesting race to come.

Triste, Constituency SA-3

Aminah Hadi is giving a speech at a local town hall.

"People of Triste! I know that you are all suffering from much hardships. Many of you are unable to pay for things like healthcare or education. Most of you also work long hours for little pay. But that will change soon! If you vote for me, I will try as hard as I can to make sure that free healthcare is available and that your rights as workers will be protected,"

Some members of the audience clapped as they hear that. However, she is not done yet.

"You are also a diverse lot. Unfortunately, the recent waves of hate crime here is a problem. I believe we should not be divided by racial, religious, or....any lines! I believe that we should all live equally no matter the colour of our skin, or the faith we practice. After all, we are all citizens of the world, right? So, me and my party will make sure thatminority groups will be protected from discrimination and prosecution. So vote for me, and long live Fernão!"

The crowd cheers as she finishes her speech and walks down the steps of the town hall to meet up with her crew and plan for the next event.
Welcome to the People's Republic of Tasimah:
A religious, socialist, liberal democracy still lacking in stability.

Samuel Bencoster to host rally later today

Candidate for NG 4/5/6 Samuel Bencoster is booked to host a rally today. He is currently leading as of the last poll recently released. This is to be his biggest rally yet and will highlight his views on education, the economy, and the state of the district.

Bencoster was optimistic for his rally, as he heard that a good amount of people would be coming. Although he is running unopposed he still feels that he needs to keep his base motivated.

Bencoster ran out on the stage to the tune of a popular African song, he jumped around the stage giving high-fives and hand-shakes until he had no more energy left in him. He finally found himself at the podium,

"Wow!" he exclaimed. "Who is ready to turn this district into a place of hope and liberty?" (The crowd responded with cheers) He then got into the meat and potatoes of the speech.

"Let me just say that I am so glad every one of you could be here for the start of our movement, and I know you know that we are ready to turn this district around." (The crowd clapped) "So let me tell you what about the current people running the government. They don't seem to understand who they work for. They seem to think that they work for the government and big businesses. But I can tell you today that they don't. The only people that we should be working for is you!" (The crowd erupted with cheers) "The people at the capitol also don't care about the people in our district." (Some boos are heard from the crowd.) "They might not care about you all but I do. I care about the Christians, Judaist, Islamic, and the Traditionalist! I care about you all!" (The crowd was fired up) "So lets get to work on the district and show them why they should care!"

Bencoster let the crowd calm down before he got into the next subject, "Lets talk about the economy and how you can help. I am a strong believer that small business is the backbone of the economy which is why my main economic goal as Senator will be to ensure that we all can start small businesses and be entrepreneurs. We have to start programs that help all of our citizens shape our economy. And if you didn't know this, the people in the capitol don't shape us you do." (the crowd cheered) "So with that said I am completely assured when I say that if you chip in and start going out there and making wood chairs, if you elect me Senator the government will help you get started and then when you are on your feet you will have the tools to make a profit." (Wright looked around) "Not only will there be improvements in our small business program but we are going to start making jobs. We will give companies a reason to hire you" (the crowd murmured) "Now you are saying Sam, come on I just know how to bake that's the only thing I know. Who is gonna hire me? And then I would say that we are going to give companies tax incentives for hiring new apprentices and retired people so the young and the old who are not getting hired can go back to work!" (Some cheers, some confusion as they didn't like companies getting incentives)

Sam drunk his water and then went back in, "Now lets go back to that baker, he only has one skill and we probably need to educate him. The reason that he isn't doing well in life and he cant seem to get a job is because in our educational system its not mandatory to have to have life skills education classes. So when the man was in school he probably didn't learn about race, finances, or had sex-ed. So that's what we're gonna do we are going to make that mandatory." (the crowd clapped) "And even if the school did want to teach him about all this stuff they probably didn't have the money to do so. See some of our people just think that we have to give loads and loads of money to schools all at one time. This is not the case, we have a thing proposed in my party called need-based funding. So your child's school can fund their need. But I can assure you the poor schools and the schools who teach special skills that will get your child a job will get more money. Because in todays world now more than ever we need skilled workers and people who know how to get their hands dirty!" (the crowd cheered)

Bencoster began to wrap things up, "So today we have gone over our plan to help our citizens within this district. So remember when you go to the voting booth do you want a vison for a strong NG-4, 5, and 6 or are you ready for a district that is based only on values of one religion? I am ready to lead us into a time of prosperity! Thank you all for coming out and goodnight!"

Viel Gives Speech at Automobile Factory

TODAY, Senate candidate Alexios Viel (RGA) took the podium at an automobile's factory to address the assembled workers. The machinery and hot atmosphere had made Viel retire his suit for a more casual button-up, plaid shirt, and he had his staff hand out bottles of water, of which on of them was resting on his podium. Taking a sip of it, Viel waited for the crowd to end their applause before beginning.

"Thank you, thank you very much. I'd like to first say thank you to Mr. O'Keefe, the general manager at this factory, and Thomas Wittmann, the union organiser, for allowing me to be with you today, the workers and labourers of our country."

There was a smattering of applause.

"Now, speaking of Mr. Wittmann, I'd like to bring up a very important aspect of working life: unions. It has not been very long that our country has even been allowed to have them, and now, they have become more important than ever. We saw the May Day protests, one of them in particular partially organised by the União Geral de Trabalhadores, the General Union of Workers. They called out for an end to corrupt crony capitalism in our society and vowed to fight for worker's rights. Not only that, but they mentioned the failures of both the Civic Union and my party, the Red-Green Alliance, for not doing enough to address these concerns.

"We certainly have a long road ahead of us, and I'll be the first to admit that my party has quite some work to do with regards to better sticking up for the common, working man. But, don't think for a second we have just sat there and twiddled our thumbs. Weeks ago, I submitted the 'Labour Protection Act,' laying the foundation for worker's rights in Fernão and immediately protecting the right to unionise and the ability to work in a non-harmful environment, as well as outlawing the unspeakable atrocity that is child labour — all of which enforced by a new Office of Labour Safety."

The crowd cheered loudly, with even the manager off to the side of Viel giving a thumbs-up. After they settled down, Viel continued.

"This is not the end for my fight to make sure that when you come to work, you are coming to a place where you can do just that — work. Without fear of discrimination, harassment, inability to unionise or unsafe conditions. These things have plagued other countries for years, with being fired for going on strike still a totally legal thing in many first-world countries. That is simply unacceptable — if you feel you are being done an injustice, you have the right to protest that."

"You have the right. You have the right to come to work and not have to worry about your boss or your co-workers harassing or violating you."

The crowd started to cheer.

"You have the right to come to work and expect a fair paycheck for the hours you put it."

The cheering began to crescendo, with some starting to stomp their feet on the metal grating below.

"You have the right to come to work and not have to be on the constant lookout for pitfalls that may lead you to be injured, and if that were ever to happen, you have the right to worker's compensation."

His last phrase really energised the crowd, and it began to become hard to hear Viel.

"But most of all, my fellow Fernãoans, you have the right to make sure that if any injustice may happen to you, your country will be there to ensure you can protest as much as you want and not be fired for opening your mouth. You have the right!"

The crowd exploded with cheers, and Viel stopped talking as he realised he could not be heard.

After about a minute, he was finally able to speak. "Thank you very much, you've been far too kind. I hope to see you come out to the polls and vote for me, and have a safe ride home. Thank you, and goodnight."

Draven Aldean delivers a speech to the constituencies

"Gooood evening, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you all for coming out. I just gotta say, wild ride, am I right?"

The audience laughs in agreement
"Anyways, here's the deal. We will make this country stable. We will make this country a haven for opportunity and wealth. We will do it!"

The audience cheers

"What you want is a chance to start a business. A chance to buy what you want. To sell what you want easily. Well guess what, you can! We will cut the taxes so you can keep your hard earned money. Do you really think it's fair for the government to take YOUR money?"

"NO!" The audience yelled.

"Well with me as your Senator, they won't! And how about a friendly, pro-business environment. Let me ask you. How would you feel if all the businesses had to close because they weren't able to profit. Not real happy, right? Right! So let's keep our businesses, our money, our jobs! If you vote Aldean, that's what you get! Thank you!"

[b]TV Ad for NG-1, NG-2, NG-3

"Hi, I'm Draven Aldean. Now I'm a family man who believes in the word of God and tries to make as much money as I can so I can keep feeding my family. But, there's a problem. My opponent, Edmund Clarke, wants to ruin that for me, for you. His plan is to tax every aspect of your being and take away business opportunities. Don't let that happen. Vote Aldean, and keep your future safe."

Another speaker says:
"This message paid for by Aldean for Senate."

Bob Kattur, Communist candidate for SA-1, admits to being a loser.

My faithful readers will be well-acquainted my dislike of the Red-Green Alliance and the ideology they preach. To quote Prime Minister and pearl necklace aficionado Margaret Thatcher, "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." I fully subscribe to the Iron Lady's words. Socialism is, for lack of a more accurate and piercing term, a cancer on society. To see the disastrous results of socialism, one only need look at Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea. Oppression, poverty, and corruption. Horrible for business. However, today I am endorsing a member of the Red-Green Alliance.

This may shock you, dear reader, but I assure you that voting for Aminah Hadi in Sarkar's 1st district is the right choice. The reason is simple: the red menace is nearing our shores. That's right, communists threaten to overthrow our democracy once more! Ms. Hadi's opponent is one Bob Kattur, a committed lifelong radical who not only seeks to violently bring an end to capitalism and democracy, but to abolish the state as well! I need not dive into the subsequent death and destruction that would occur if Mr. Kattur got as he wishes. One could only imagine how bad it would be for small businesses! Bob Kattur is a Lying Offensive Serpentine Execrable Radical. A loser, if you will. He must be stopped, at any cost.

Aminah Hadi is far from perfect. Her worn-out ideas will not bring the bold leadership that Fernão so desperately needs. But she is well-intentioned, experienced, and responsible. She does not seek to destroy this country from within. And that is why it is essential that every freedom loving Fernoan in the 1st district cast their votes for Aminah Hadi of the Red-Green Alliance. Better Red-Green than red.
