" Mister president, I find Senator Viel's obsession with the word 'absurd' particularly hilarious, and since we are drawing parallels between this nation and the United States, I can't fail to mention Secretary Clinton's equally hilarious non-slogan 'Trumped up, trickle down'. Though I believe these ad hominem attacks, both from Senator Viel and myself, are in good faith, I must wonder if they are truly expedient to the work of this body. "

Viel now flat-out laughed. "Accusations of ad hominem attacks from a censured Senator, Mr. President, now that's a good jest. However, my 'obsession' with my honourable colleague's words are merely to illustrate just how uncalled for his reaction was to my simple point of information, calling my fellow colleagues 'rapacious usurpers' and other such thoroughly unprovoked attacks. However, when someone throws a punch at me, I'm bound to strike back."

"Mr. President, this chit-chat with my honourable colleague is all fine and dandy, but I'd much prefer some actual work being done than idle talk. Which brings me back to my point of information."

"Order

Enough bickering and vote on the readings at hand."

House of Judah wrote:"Point of Inquiry, Mister President. The intention is to hold three separate votes on identical language?"

"Yes."
Lykens wrote:"Mister President, point of order.

The Senate right now is operating too far out of its norms and precedents, and I ask that you suspend these proceedings and return to regular order."

"We will return to 'regular order' when the voting is done."

Dendart wrote:"Mister president, I think the honorable gentleman knows exactly what 'regular order' means. I say enough with this RGA caused mayhem; it is time for Senator Viel and his band of rapacious usurpers, to accept the defeat that the RGA has been handed at the ballot box and allow this august body, and the senators rightly elected by the citizens of this nation, to move on with the ordinary and proper business of this body. That is to say, the business which the President of the Senate, when acting under the standing rules of the Senate and under the advice of the Majority and Minority leaders, deems fitting and appropriate."

"Mister president, I withdraw my vote on the fraudulent "vote" that is being staged in the senate as we speak"

"The honorable gentleman will withdraw his remark regarding the RGA and Senator Viel as 'rapacious usurpers'. As for your vote, you may withdraw it and it won't be counted unless you change your mind."

"Also, the other honorable gentleman should not encourage behavior like this either. Stop throwing red meat."

Alexios Viel nodded silently and sat back down, saying, "My apologies, Mr. President."

Ritesh Bell looks around at Bloom in front of him and Tamboli on the other side of the aisle.

Will anything happen? Will the party leaders do something? Or will the Senate remain like this forever? You'll have to come back next time to find out!

"Mr. President, this only further illustrates the inaction in this Chamber is due in part to these debate-killing Standing Rules, with these dreadful bill readings requiring the absentee Majority Leader, and the Minority Leader who recently stepped down. I may not have the power to invoke any bill readings here, Mr. President, but my disdain for the fact shall remain on the record."

Second.

I must say I am very disappointed at the RGA for the lack of action thus far. You can do better. I know you can.

"Mr. President, I rise on a point of parliamentary inquiry."

"I hold that the Minority Leader's deliberate failure to appoint a member to the confirmation committee constitutes a failure by the committee to act under rule 14, section c of the Standing Rules, and that the Senate may move directly into executive session. Does the chair agree?"

"Mr. President, I can assure you that since we have no current Minority Leader, it is nothing short of political gamesmanship for the Civic Union to try to pin their own inaction on the RGA. Minority Leader Bloom has stepped down, and the buck stops at the Civic Union, the governing party. No one in our party has the power to enact any readings or enact executive sessions as of right now, so the Civic Union can keep on going on about how it is the obstructionist RGA is hurting their agenda, while the people of Fernão continue to go without a proper government."

"Mr. President, if the Majority Leader alone could appoint a confirmation committee, all of President Krishnan's nominees would stand confirmed today. Mr. Bloom had made it no secret that he disdained this process, and consequently did not act on his obligation to appoint members. Given that this has paralysed the confirmation process, I urge the chair to rule this process complete so that we may move onto the next step: executive session

The National Symbols act just shows the intent of parliamentary democracy, cozy up to Imperialists outside this country. According to this act our Coat of Arms shall feature the flags of the East India Company and the Kingdom of Portugal. It is like we still are a colony of capitalists and imperialists when we should strive to look forward into the bright future that Fernao and its people could have, but you seek to glorify the burtal opression we faced for years.
