"Mr. President, I strongly support both nominees. These are two capable and qualified people that will be terrific for their departments. I furthermore commend President Vishal Vig nominating people from other parties. While members of the Civic Union have ruthlessly opposed the President's nominees, the President has nominated someone from the Civic Union. This is a wonderful show of unity and strengthens our newly established republic."

"Mister President, while at this juncture I have nothing to say for or against the nominee for Attorney General, I do have a question about Secretary of Rural Development nominee Martin Grunewald. If the documents I have of his history are correct, he heads the Alliance of Anabaptist Farmers otherwise known as the ATB. Can the nominee assure the congress that his affiliation to the ATB will not conflict with his role as secretary and that he will not give favorable treatment to the ATB? If Mr. Grunewald can assure the congress that he will not have any such conflicts, then I do not see any problem with the appointment."

Senator Cruyff stood up, "Mr. President, I must commend President Vig for opening up the government to differing political political parties. I strongly support both nominees. Mr. Grunewald has shown through his life that his is more than capable of working on and running a very successful dairy and grain farm, while also showing a keen insight as a grassroots organizer working for the benefit of the community as a whole through his work with the Allianz der Täufer Bauern, and I admit I am assured to hear that he will be resigning his post with the ATB. I urge my fellow Senators to rise in support of both nominees and in support of finally getting a government to the people of our country. I must question why we are not seeking to vote on the Foreign Affairs and Defense nominees so we may respond to the recent tragic attack in our nation."
