I'd do it anyway so that we have an active President. tbh I only see this taking a day max.

Every last cabinet member would have to confirm, and who knows which of them will be on at what times and that sort of thing. honestly, what could really necessitate changing the presidency for just a few of days? It would be different if elections weren't so close.

We are reporting live at Senator Dannon's first press conference since the results were declared. What will his words to his supports be?

"I would like to thank everyone here for you support during the election. Your faith in me is heartening though the declared results did not go our way. The results were close at less than 2000 votes between victory and defeat. Considering that small margin, after talking to my campaign advisors, I have chosen to not yet concede this election and request a recount of the elections votes. If the recount petition is accepted and my opponent still comes out above myself, then I will peacefully concede this election. This election is the first of the new system we are implementing across Fernão which is why it is crucial that we get this right. Before any opponents of mine attack this move, with such a small margin, errors can occur in counting. I have promised to accept the results of this recount whether in my favor or not. Thank you for your time."

Are you challenging the results OOCly or ICly?

I guess ICly as my senator is asking for a recount of the vote. Just make sure, what are you referring by challenging OOC versus IC so I am telling correctly

Well ICly would just be your character challenging the result, unlike OOCly, which would be you legitimately questioning them.

Its a little bit of OOC that the results seem to have overly represented targeted groups in the results and not accounting enough for background but this was the first test of the system so I won't contest that part right now as the system is being improved,

My senator is simply asking for a recount in a very close race as to get the correct result.

Very small demographic? if you are talking about targets, the middle class targeted had was 51% of the district and ICly targeted the upper class quite a bit who made up another 40% of the district. I am not sure how that was reaching out at a small demographic.

Obviously then for the next elections there needs to be added part of how targeted a group is. The campaign obviously wasn't going to to devote a bunch of their time to target Jews even if they were a likely group to be behind Dannon since they made up only what 5% of the pop.

Quick question: does the senate have the power to legislate foreign policy, like state that Fernão officially holds X position in Y international dispute or event, or would that fall more within the executive branch's authority?

The President receives all foreign dignitaries, appoints ambassadors, represents Fernão abroad, and negotiates and signs treaties. However the Senate has to ratify said treaties and can legislate things foreign policy wise that bind the Executive, although the President can veto it.
