Still too high for my tastes, but the resolution called for 5+, so I will sponsor.

What is the current state of our parties

Alliance for Change (left-wing anti-establishment) - 2
Free Democratic Party (Radical Centrism) - 5
Constitutional Liberal Party (Moderate Liberalism) - 4
Freedom Party (Greek unionism) - 1

We still have no big-tent left-right parties, though I think Junkilub showed interest in creating a conservative party with you and Paketo:

Looks like we will probably have one right wing party encompassing a large amount of the right while having multiple left and center parties...And Kam's Greek nationalists

I hope not. I think it's the most fun when there're two left-right parties (controlling ~25-33% of voting power each) with several crucial third parties.

We simply lack right wing members ,in my opinion, to form two solid right parties at this point

There was really only one conservative party in Fernao, the CU. Pro Patria never got far.

I've been loosely involved in a couple iterations of this, and I have enjoyed playing centre-righty characters as opposed to my RL centre-lefty politics, so I'd be somewhat available if there were more rightish characters needed.

Play how you want to honestly. The right having less players simply means we have to play smart

I’m thinking of making a center-left Christian democratic party associated with the Christian left and Catholic social teaching. Something along the lines of The Daisy in Italy. Would anyone be interested?

Well, if we're posting character outlines, I'll post mine :p :
Niccolo Fallaci - Free Democratic Party
Image

Account Name: Roosevetania
Occupation: Senator

Party Position(s):
Founder

Positions in Government:
None

Constituency: N/A
Political Ideology: Radical Centrism, Liberalism/Classical Liberalism

Family: mother, younger brother
Background: Born in 1967, Niccolo Fallaci was raised in suburban Coros. His family was middle-class, and they weren't especially rich, though he had a relatively comfortable childhood. Niccolo's father was of Italian heritage, but his mother's side was Greek. This resulted in Niccolo getting an Italian last name (his father's) and a Greek first name. He had one sibling, a younger brother. Niccolo's father was a lawyer, his mother a schoolteacher. His family, especially his father, was active in the resistance against the junta. His father was arrested multiple times, and was once badly beaten by the police. He has always had a keen interest in politics, and wished for Galatean democracy since he was a teenager. He studied hard, and now speaks five languages: Galatean [the Romance conlang one], Greek, Italian, Esperanto, and English.

When Niccolo turned 18 in 1985, he received a scholarship to the University of Coros, earning a degree in political science and studying law. During college, he came out as gay, having been a strong supporter of LGBT+ rights ever since. After graduating in 1989, he moved into Coros from the suburbs and became a community organizer and civil rights lawyer. He participated in pro-democracy protests, under both the junta and 1994 Triumvirate. Niccolo ran for and served on the Coros City Council from 2004-2018, always an advocate for democracy though having to tread lightly as a public figure. After Galatea was freed in 2018, he resigned from the City Council, running for and winning a seat in the newly formed Senate.
Faith: Methodist Christian

Likes: Radical Centrism, Liberalism, (secretly) the establishment, people, scrambled eggs
Dislikes: The political left and right, Donald Trump, potato salad

The center is a little crowded right now, maybe a more general left wing party, like France's PS, would work better. I will probably join a right wing party.

Considering that's fairly close to my IRL ideology, I'd be interested. But of course, we'd have to have factionalism and wings upon wings with various names based on the personality cult we follow.

I have only just become aware of Galatea’s linguistic situation, and to be frank, it’s imbecilic; the country’s agreed-upon history makes no mention of these non-Albanian Albanian speakers, which are certainly bizarre, and it is absolutely ridiculous to speak of 15-20 per cent speaking a Slavic when, in truth, South Slavic groups represent no more than 3 per cent of the population, as Question 4 established. The existence of a Maltese-like Semitic language is similarly scandalous for reasons I needn’t mention for fear of growing tiresome. I know I will be censured for speaking only know, but I was lamentably unaware of the vote.

Yep, definitely. There's pretty much no historic precedent for Slavic and Semitic languages in the nation. Honestly takes away a lot of immersion.
