That'd be nice.

My suggestion is twofold: first, we need to reconsider how the Senate works. The Admin team should be redone (possibly with half selected by the current admins and half elected by the roleplay), the Daily Life thread should be retired and roleplays possibly shifted to P2TM, and we should develop an incarnation with political roleplaying opportunities beyond the Senate accessible to everyone.

Secondly, we need to advertise on a large scale. Telegramming the entire website is impractical, but buying adspace on the forums isn't. We should remove the one-week entry barrier and recruit newly founded nations, and we should advertise offsite. Furthermore, we should make an effort to appeal to NSG again, because that's where the bulk of the Senate's original activity came from.

And also no more majority leaders that was a disaster sorry lykens

I wouldn't say completely get rid of Daily life but I think the rp would have benefited from more admin controlled events like a oil pipeline bursting or a endangered animal being discovered on a future development site and the government having to decided a policy on it. A lot of modern policy draws from current events happening in a country so something like a rise in murder rates across the country or the events above I think would have benefitted the RP.

Agree with this whole post. We were actually supposed to have an event every month, but we didn't have a June one and the April and May ones weren't that good.

If Fernão has actually passed into the void, I'd also like to say that we need to fully retire the presidential system for good. It doesn't work for roleplay, and it doesn't work for the Senate. As well, that majority/minority leader nonsense was genuinely awful.

#RavioliRavioliWhereIsTamboli

Absolutely.

We shouldn't retire the Daily Life thread, though.

I really don't want to see the Senate die. I agree that in this iteration there's too much OOC hate. We have to figure out ways to attract new players, make the RP more interesting, and leave IC IC.

RE: Questions
1. The Admin team is inactive. We have a head admin who barely even posts. It just needs to be replaced with people who can commit to the roleplay.
2. I think the better roleplayers tend to stick around, so in the long term it will improve quality. In the short term, though, the focus is activity.

1. Inactivity is a qualifier for admin status, but to a point. The most active posters do not necessarily make the best admins. I've always maintained the position that admins should be involved enough to be able to make a decision on anything that's happening within the RP with only little catching up work needed. Involvement is best expressed through posting, but not always.
2. Fair enough. But won't TG stamps be an issue, I imagine?

Ok, what sort of scale are we talking for stamps? It's 1000 per USD.

Also going to sleep now, so no responses from me for a while.

We wanted the admins to have control over it, to prevent personal feuds from getting in the way.

IC just ignore the first one. It never happened.

I vote that we have the U.K. annex Fernao, with Corbyn being provincial/colonial governor.

Why so much hate for the presidentialist system?Maybe the problem isn't with presidentialism, but rather trying to act in it thinking of parliamentarism.

Also majority is irrlevant,it's not parliamentarism. The correct terms should be/have been governmen (or situation) and opposition

That's thinking in parliamentary terms. In a presidential system, majority and minority caucus would be the correct terms.

You can go ahead and remove my candidate from the convention, he was more or less an FPM shill and seeing as I'm not running that party anymore I don't have an interest in forwarding their ideals. :p
