I supported a parliamentary government at the beginning of the incarnation, I'm glad we've abandoned the presidential system to the more fun parliamentary system.

Constitutional changes like these are of course entirely IC, but because they can be considered a major and important undertaking on the order of presidential elections, we may take this over. I don't know, and I'm also not the final decision maker, because that's not my job anymore. I'll pass it on to the rest of the team and see what they think.

My two cents is that as the Constitutional Assembly is purely an advisory body, with no basis in law, it should remain out of the remit of the admins - with the referendum at the end of the process in the hands of the admin team.

Looks like we never got around to voting on it so I think Lykens is actually right in that we have no official military. The closest thing would be the Capitol police.

Well it's not an official military but it's still exists as a functional armed force that is under the nominal control of the government. Or was, mainly because militaries of governments who have fought civil wars generally don't disband and reform the army after said civil wars. Fernao still has a de facto armed forces even if it's not officially one de jure.

True but our prior military was loyal to the old dictator and there were many armed rebel groups. How much of that military would left after fighting rebel groups and a UN intervention?

The understanding of the Administrators is that the government of Fernao currently does not have a standing functional military. Until such time as there is one, any actions claiming to have been performed on behalf of the military can be ignored.

Armed actions performed by non-military groups are allowed, but must remain realistic to their capacities.

Alright, I'm seriously fed up with this stupid "obstruction" accusation bullshit. It's not constructive, it's not good RP, and it's not true. I love Collatis to death, but he was simply not able to keep up with the demands of being the minority leader. That's fine, and he stood aside when he realized that. We now have a leader who has been meeting that commitment and has tried to work with Lykens to get shit done.

If this was kept purely to the RP portion, I might find it tolerable, but it bleeds over to the OOC as well and I am out of patience with it. It's a lie, and the worst part is that Lykens knows it's a lie but continues to push it anyways, to the point that Sarian and Ainin have started parroting it. It's not true, it's not helpful and it needs to stop.

It actually isn't. An unwillingness to rush through things certainly is not the same as a campaign of obstruction.

I understand Sarian's frustration. Collatis should have been more on top of things but he wasn't able to. When Socialist Nordia took over as minority leader, he went along with Lykens to go straight to the executive session without the committees so that we could get stuff done. He's named people to the committees for the remainder of the nominees so that we can move forward. Which is exactly what we're doing.
