I want to go ahead and propose this. The Tsunami was a good event in Fernao and putting a schedule for random events would be good in my opinion.

I have no idea why that would be. Your name isn't on the list, so if true I assume it was an IP ban? I've cleared the banlist.

I'll have the estimate sometime today.

As for the vote, that'll either start today or tomorrow. I apologize for the delay, I have been busy.

MV is eternally busy, Merizoc has been busy clearing the IRC ban list, Electrum rarely posts and was just confirmed, and the last time Beta posted here was Christmas. :p

Alright, the results are as followed for the name (which the IRV method was used):

13- Galatea
7- Galatia

As such, the next iteration will be named Galatea. As for the vote, that'll start sometime tomorrow.

Could I have a pronunciation clarification? Is it Guh-LAY-shuh, or guh-LAY-tee-uh, or something else? And I assume the denonym is Galatean?

I've personally been pronouncing it gaa-luh-TAY-uh, noting its similarity to the word Galaxy. I consider it to sound more formal to have the hard "T". On a more pet peevey basis, "ga-LAY-shuh" sounds a bit like glacier, and it would be silly to have a name similarity with something the indigenous people of this nation would've never seen. Kinda like calling Syria "Penguinius."

The pronunciation Tectonix uses is correct, assuming we are trying to be faithful to the original Greek.

Petition for second referendum on the name, with the sole option on the ballot paper to be "Greece".

This will avoid all conflict (which has potential to get v nasty) about pronunciation and is just a good name in general tbh.
