Resolved: Galatia will have long been disputed between Greece and Italy. It will have been ruled by the Roman Empire at one point, being largely agricultural until the early 20th century. It will have switched back and forth between Greek and Italians hands until WW2, where it would be invaded by Fascist Italy. After the war it will have been given to Greece as part of war reparations, but ownership will have been argued about at the UN and EU. It will have often had a strong regional government due to obvious inconsistency in national government. Finally, it had enough being handed back and forth when it declared independence in 2018.

I've personally been pronouncing it gaa-luh-TAY-uh, noting its similarity to the word Galaxy. I consider it to sound more formal to have the hard "T". On a more pet peevey basis, "ga-LAY-shuh" sounds a bit like glacier, and it would be silly to have a name similarity with something the indigenous people of this nation would've never seen. Kinda like calling Syria "Penguinius."

Petition for second referendum on the name, with the sole option on the ballot paper to be "Greece".

This will avoid all conflict (which has potential to get v nasty) about pronunciation and is just a good name in general tbh.
