Whereas Americans will always roleplay as if their characters were in the United States regardless of the lack of relevance between the setting and North America,

Whereas no one on God's green earth has ever heard of the existence of a place named "Staten Island,"

Whereas the lack of relevance of Staten Island in the arc of world history means that its disappearance from the United States would have no consequences whatsoever,

The next iteration shall take place on the Republic of Staten Island.

Welcome back!

Fernao just kinda fizzled out. Activity was slow and there was just a general consensus that it was dead. No revolution (like Elizia), no dissolving of the government, just dead. We're now in hiatus, planning the next iteration and brainstorming recruitment ideas. Most of us agree we need to return to a more developed, Western setting, probably Europe.

I suggest you sponsor my Ionian Sea proposal, where we could have a Greek-influenced romance conlang (courtesy of TLT), and cultural influence from North Africa and the Arab world. I was thinking we could have a situation where G-stan (an island in the Ionian Sea) has been disputed between Italy and Greece since WWII, and it finally declared its independence. This would be so we wouldn't have to do the dictator/war/third-world/unstable situation.

I say we do it. We've already roleplayed for this game in war torn countries, unstable countries, and impoverished countries. Why not do the same thing but with a state.
