Being a card shark sounds interesting, low ante. The Ava chick we met a while back seemed nice... Jay debated and walked over to the card tables and waited for it to begin.

Spock disapproved. Why do games of chance rather than one of skill? Fencing would turn more heads than cards.

Swords and liquor go poorly together, and fencing would be preferred. Jay noted It's more likely to find a deck of cards than a fencing arena. Though...there might be a Fight Club. That might rake in some cash and be entertaining.

The small kitsune woke up from is bed/nest in the stable/barn/whatever and went in search of something to eat or something to do. Upon finding possibly neither he would just wander around looking and sniffing.

Soon, the three countries began a war with Russia and gained territories. In Korea, the South Koreans saw a chance to strike and took out their mortal enemy, North Korea, once and for all. In Japan, the Ainu people vied for independence and won full sovereignty of Hokkaido. Soon, the Ainu joined in on the Russo-Kazakh-Mongol-Manchurian war and gained Sakhalin. To the south, the Indochinese Commonwealth, Taiwan, and city states of Hong Kong and Macau seized their chances to make gains in China. Taiwan went a bit further and conquered significant lands in the Philippines. In Southern Europe, Bulgaria joined with Wallachia to protect against growing threats of terrorism and Turkish military expeditions. In the north, the Baltic Commonwealth formed to protect against Russia."

Aurelia tries to pay attention - really. But Frida's attempt to explain isn't making sense. She sips wine, feeling giddy and a little tired - when it ends, she sighs in relief.

One thing has gotten through. "You're from a different world." Her head spins. "I'm from here." She touches the boot-shape of once-Italy. "What are these?" Based on her pointing, she means the Americas and Australia.
