Elections for Party Leader and Party Chairman

Following the resignation of Britanno 3, who we are all sad to see go, we must now hold another election for Party Leader. The position of Party Chairman is also still vacant, so an election will be held for that position as well. Anyone wishing to stand has 24 hours to do so, and then there will be a 24 hour voting period. If no candidates are found within 24 hours, the nominations will be left open until 2 candidates stand. If one candidate stands then there will be a period of 48 hours for a challenger to stand, or else they will automtically assume the position (OOC: I'm not too sure what to do if no one stands/is nominated, so this is the best I could come up with)Good luck to all the nominees.

I'm confused if we're nominating people or...
If we are, I'll nominate Lykens.

Following the resignation of our Party Leader, of which I am dearly saddened by, I request to make a whip recommendation to the eBoard. Just one question: how do I do that? No one ever told me.

Well, the supposed progressive wave within the SLP was fun while it lasted Brit. For SLP members who aren't die-hard Clintonians like Lykens and many others within the party, emergency exits are located at the front and back of the plane.

I seriously considered joining the Progressive Movement until I realized that you posted 7 times in the Social Liberal Party Thread between October 23rd to Nov 12th while you only posted twice during the same time on the Progressive Movement. You are more dedicated to trolling the liberals than on building your own party and actually showing organization that might have persuaded me and countless others to join you.

Seriously dude, your literally here to just troll us.

Well, seen as though there haven't been any further nominations, I guess Lykens will take Party Leader and Eol Sha will be Chairman, if the rules from the last SLP post (which if you couldn't tell was me) are still applying (ie. the 24 hour thing). If so, congrats and I'm glad to see Lykens back as leader.

You'd better believe I'm a bitter Bernie Sanders supporter. The Dems fucked up and fucked up hard. Hopefully they'll learn that neoliberalism and maintaining the status quo isn't the way to win this election or any other one. I doubt they will, though.

Seriously, though, welcome to the SLP. Please deposit your 1 million USD membership fee in the party chairman's bank account.

We still have UED, Eol Sha, Lykens, Argentarino, New Werpland, South East Europe, Sardeed, Thermodolia, etc. We just need more activity on this topic.
And what is this week's whip?

I was holding off on doing anything until full elections since we only had a couple of days, Eol Sha seems to have gone dark for a bit, no worries.

We will now start the 24 hour nomination period for Parliamentary Leader, Party Chairman, and Chief Whip.

This period will end at 3:50 pm PST 11/20/2016.

You may stand for a post or nominate any party members for any post.

I will stand for Parliamentary Leader, nominate Sarian as Party Chairman, and Ikania for Chief Whip.

Nominations closed about ten minutes ago.

Ike has informed me that he is taking a self imposed hiatus from NS to focus on school (ew), so we only have one candidate for whip.

Lykens will remain Parliamentary Leader, Sarian shall become Party Chairman, and Tectonix shall remain as Chief Whip.

Congratulations to the new eboard.

If we cause a loud enough ruckus and disorder on parliament, electrum can just shut down proceedings.

Let's riot in the chamber.
