The Republic of Britannia takes place in an alternate time line where the romans never left Britain. After the fall of Rome, the remaining Romans started to mingle with the native Anglo-Saxons until the two cultures had completely merged. Tech is WW1 with heavy dieselpunk elements. For some reason, we still use swords and modernised legionnaire armour for our soldiers.
