"Why did you do that?!?", yelled the Swaglord, to his Fae Companion.

"~~~All work and no play makes Swag a dull boy...~~~" giggled the Fae, whose true name was incomprehensible to all but the mad... like the Swaglord. The Fae flipped through forms, and eventually decided on an octarine-colored quivering mass of tentacles and eyes and mouths and other assorted bits.

The Swaglord pulled a curious-looking device out of the interior pocket of his suit. It vaguely resembled a golden clock, or an astrolabe, or an absurdly gaudy brass torch/flashlight, or something of that sort. He fiddled with the dials on the device, and the Swaglord and the Fae shifted across the fourth dimension. After flickering between realities and generally screwing with the laws of matter, space, time, and sanity, they eventually ended up on Earth Prime, shortly before the Martian Invasion.
