I sent you all a TG on this, but for formality's sake there is a three-line whip in favour of confirming Ark as President.

I don't mind this - it combines MV's design (which I like because it doesn't attempt to be too flashy) with a colour scheme that possibly reflects our idelogical standpoint better.

I'll change it in my own program and then change the OP and flag.

It smells like the 1970s in here, especially with that logo. I'd suggest a rose, as other Labour parties have adopted throughout the world.

Just a heads up for the whip (Brit will formalize): the NRS establishment, while not a revenue bill in the strictest sense, is being considered by the Speaker as a confidence bill, so there will likely be a strong whip for it.

It was suggested, but the rose would be too much of a vestige of british colonial politics, something that Elizian Labour is attempting to distance itself from

Budget vote coming up this week! As a confidence vote, it will be a three-line whip.

OOC: This post follows from this post: viewtopic.php?p=29816046#p29816046. I do not actually have ALS.

With my regrets.

Statement from the Office of Abraham Kamassi

Dear colleagues and constituents,

Effective in three day's time, I will resign all my offices and positions: Member of Parliament, Home Secretary, and Chairperson of the Labour Party.

It is my regret to inform you that I have received a diagnosis of illness, ALS, which will, in time, prevent me from being able to fulfill my duties. At the moment, I do not feel its effects, but over time my condition will deteriorate, and I see it to be the most prudent course of action to resign at the onset.

I trust you all to preserve the dialogue which we have strived to establish, and to work together for a better Elizia.

Abraham Kamassi

I guess we need to sort out a reorganisation of the party then considering MV has left.

Is there much point in a wholesale reorganisation ?? I hate to say it, but with MV going, we're essentially the only two active party members.

Yeah you're right. Do you maybe want to just replace the current roles with a Leader and Deputy Leader? There seems little need for a whip with so few members. If you're happy to take on the more senior position as leader of the party I can just carry on with the whip telegram as Deputy Leader.

As far as I'm concerned, you're welcome to join so long as you follow the whip in votes.

I sent a TG to a few former NWP members seeing if they'd want to join, but obviously we won't be changing policy or anything like that - I thought it might be worth trying to see if they'd go for a slightly more moderate left-wing party rather than sit as independents.
