I think we could do many things within the Black Sea. Obviously we could go with something akin to what Argentarino proposed, but there are a multitude of settings possible within that area.
From the top of my head:
- Slavic country oriented toward Russia
- Slavic country oriented toward Europe
- Disjointed country not knowing what to orientate itself to (Argentarino would like this)
- Turkish country oriented toward Turkey
- Turkish country oriented toward Europe
- non-Slavic and non-Turkish country oriented toward Russia
- non-Slavic and non-Turkish country oriented toward Europe
- non-Slavic and non-Turkish country oriented toward Turkey
I am partial toward Slavic country oriented toward Europe. Slavic society is probably the most easy thing to understand and play around with for this community. Being oriented toward Europe means we'd have orthodox left-right politics, though be aware we don't necessarily have to be EU or NATO members. Those two aspects are pretty important imo.
I think Bulgaria is an excellent example of what we could try to do. Rampant corruption, anti-communists, and angry beleaguered minorities of Turkish origin sounds like a fun combination. For those interested Al Jazeera made a melodramatic video about Bulgaria, it might be useful in understanding the gist of what I'm trying to get at.
Ah the Black Sea, that was the one I worked with him on. I am currently working on (with West) a Mediterranean proposal.
