No, it clearly wasn't. He called me and my party members stupid.

He made two comments. The first stated that the party members, as a collective, lack intelligence. That is not a direct insult against you. The second insinuated that the party's voters lack intelligence. That is not a direct insult against you.

An attack on the intelligence of party members is an attack on everyone in the party, including myself. He also made wild and untrue claims which disrupted debate.

No, it's attack on your collective intelligence not an any individual. That's not semantics, that's fact. Don't you think it's rather ironic that you're claiming Sarian disrupted debate given the speaker specifically stated that your actions, calling to censure the senator, were distracting from the debate at hand?

Christ haven't I missed this...

An attack on our collective intelligence is an attack on the intelligence of our party members thus the individuals.

It's pretty simple, it's an attack on your collective intelligence. As a whole. Sarian did not state that you are all individually stupid, only that as a whole you lack intelligence. He did no more than suggest that the average intelligence of SLP members is lacking. This isn't really debatable.

On a less argumentative note, how many senators are there representing the aboriginal population? Have we made up much information about that ~7% of Elizia yet?

That is an attack on the members of the party. If I called the Chinese Intrest Parties membership dumb, would your 'logic' still apply.

I think they're basically the Malaysian Aboriginals. Anyways, my Senator and Skappola's Senator are both fully aboriginal, and The Grene Knyght's Senator is half-aboriginal and half-Indian but considers herself an aboriginal.

Mr Speaker, what international clout does the bill's writer believe we possess? Negotiate with China to present the Elizian opinion! What is this madness, Mr Speaker? Honestly! Mr Speaker, this is misleading Parliament to such an extent that I am of half a mind to motion for the member to be held in contempt! Let me make it clear to this house, as a former ranking member of the Chinese Diplomatic Service, that any delegation of Elizians - a country that does not yet even recognize the People's Republic of China - who came to China in an attempt to negotiate on the South China Sea would be laughed away. Mr Speaker, who the hell does he think we are? "

That claim is outlandish, the majority of the democratic community, our neighbors are on our side. We can negotiate the same way the Phillipines and China/Vietnam and China do."

I'm taking this OOC because this is clearly an OOC understanding, Nariterrr - read the Elizia proposal and realise why we aren't the Philippines.

Or you could just tell him what you want him to know instead of forcing him to waste his time reading the entire proposal.

I think it's hardly a waste of time to read the background of the country you're bloody RPing for multiple hours a day.

I'd start with economy, history and foreign affairs + defence for the debate argument we're currently having in the Chamber.

I've made a commitment to this RP as Head Admin. It requires multiple hours a day, at varying degrees of intensity, if I want to do the job as I think it should be done. I've been doing it for three years. So yes, devotion is a good word to use.
