FOR TOO LONG, the Chinese people have suffered at the hands of the Elizian National Congress and their Malay supporters.
FOR TOO LONG, Malays have had an intractable dominance of the Elizian economy and public life, leaving minority groups marginalized, oppressed and powerless.
TODAY, we are taking our country back.
EQUALITY FOR ALL ELIZIANS
We demand affirmative action for Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian and aboriginal groups to reverse the effects of decades of marginalization of these groups in Elizia's economy, universities, civil society and politics. We consequently demand quotas for the best and brightest children of minority ethnicity in Elizia's universities, for the most talented men and women of minority ethnicity in managerial roles in Elizia's large enterprises, and for community leaders in the Parliament of Elizia.
We demand the institution of a democratic republic. A monarchy is a relic of the primitive past and does not reflect on Elizia's multicultural and multiethnic present. A democracy organized on republican lines is the only system worthy of a diverse, modern state.
We demand the institution of a parliamentary system. A presidential system vests too much political power in a single individual, paving the way for a return to autocratic rule no better than that of the Elizian National Congress. Elizia must be governed by a strong legislature and strong courts to serve as a check on the political power of vested interests.
JUSTICE FOR MINORITY GROUPS
We demand the arrest and trial of the leaders of the Elizian National Congress. The criminals who have been responsible for decades of murder, stigmatization and racial supremacism should not be allowed to escape punishment for their acts that have been deemed by the UN Security Council as crimes against humanity, the December Peace Accords notwithstanding.
We demand the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The government must establish an independent commission to investigate and shed light on the atrocities committed by the ENC during the Civil War and recommend actions to prevent such tragedies to ever fall upon our nation again.
We demand the permanent demilitarization of Elizia. The government of Elizia must never be allowed to maintain a standing army again, after the horrors of the Civil War and the atrocities committed by the Army under ENC leadership. Elizia must remain fully demilitarized, and the UN peacekeeping forces must remain until stability is restored.
SOCIETY OPEN TO ALL FAITHS AND ETHNICITIES
We demand the institution of compulsory trilingual education. Knowledge of Elizian Malay, English and Chinese will give our future generations new opportunities both at home and abroad, and promote tolerance and mutual understanding after decades of institutional discrimination.
We demand the codification of state secularism. Elizia is not a Muslim country. It is a country of Muslims, Buddhists, Hinduists, folk religion followers, irreligious and everything in between. The state cannot favour one religion above another and must keep itself totally separate from religious authorities and rules.
We demand that Elizia default on the ENC regime's odious debts. The debts incurred by the Elizian National Congress were the work of dictatorial strongmen who did not govern in the name of the peoples of Elizia. We therefore call for all debts incurred in the period prior to December 2015 to be declared null and void. Not a penny of Elizian money must be paid to the bankers and loan sharks that willingly did business with the ENC.
RAPPROCHEMENT WITH OUR NATURAL ALLIES
We demand Elizia's withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Nations. Elizia is a free and sovereign nation and must stand against the harmful effects that colonialism and imperialism have left on our national psyche. We owe no allegiance to Queen, only to Country.
We demand Elizia's withdrawl from the International Monetary Fund. The IMF has a long track record of unfair economic management in developing nations that has left behind a trail of inequality, social conflict and marginalization of disempowered groups. Elizia cannot continue its abusive relationship with the IMF and must immediately exit this group. We must instead seek equitable solutions from socially responsible groups such as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
We demand the recognition of the People's Republic of China. Elizia's continued recognition of the rump Taipei regime harms our economic development by depriving it of the Chinese investment that has greatly enriched our neighbours.
IN THE EVENT that bigots, Malay supremacists and crony capitalists refuse to relinquish their hegemonic role in Elizian society and business, we demand full independence for the Chinese-majority Jinyu Archipelago from Elizia.
